2. 6. What have you learnt about technologies from
the process of constructing the product?
When constructing our film, I learnt the right way of using a video
recorder, this helped me to capture all the scenes of the film. I
also learnt how to use imovie, to edit our film. This helped
because me and my group needed to cut out any scenes that we
didn’t want in the film. By editing the film, we made sure that it
was no longer than two minutes. One of the weaknesses of the
camera equipment was that some scenes looked blurry when
zoomed in, this affected our framing when we were editing.
Editing software such as imovie had features such as titles and
transitions, these were helpful and made our film look more
professional, we used Garage Band for creating the heart beat in
the background.

3. What have you learnt about editing?
When editing our preliminary task, I have learnt that
framing is very important when viewing different
scenes. This makes it look more professional. While
editing I have learnt how to add sound at the correct
moment, this helped to have the heartbeat at the right
time. The editing software helped to edit out all of the
mistakes, so that it looks more professional. During
the editing process, I have learnt that transitions are
important, this is because we needed to have the
main task a maximum of two minutes.

4. Was Garage band a useful program for
creating a suspenseful soundtrack?
During the editing software, we used Garage band,
this was useful because it helped to create the
heartbeats, which added to the suspense. This
software was also useful because we could adjust
the tempo, so that the heartbeat sounded like a real
heartbeat and it could then be increased and
decreased at different points of the film. This program
was also useful as it ensured that we can create
suspenseful music.
