MATTE PRODUCTIONS
Our group has experience working with charity organisations and non-for-profits, as well as having a personal connection
with the topic (two group member's relatives having suffered Pneumonia.)
Many of us have experience with promotional videos for paid clients, as well as two group members having studied
Marketing and PR modules, giving our team an advantage when making promotional material.
Each member has a different set of skills they can bring to the team. This ranges from camera skills to social media to
networking. Our aim is to work together so we can build on both our strengths and weaknesses by supporting each other
throughout all aspects of this project.
Our USP and Skills
The brief
The Pneumonia Trust
The brief is to create a short video that provides information to the general public about Community Acquired Pneumonia,
following a patients' account of recovery from the illness, as well as signs and symptoms and tips for preventing CAP.
The video length has not been set by the client, which allows us to be creative with the project, and allowing use to create a
more dramatised piece.
We suggested that it may be interesting to look at the experience of CAP from a first person perspective, using first person
footage and narration to show the process of how CAP may be acquired, and showing the different stages of its development
and treatment.
There are many potential causes of Pneumonia, such as diabetes, heart disease, smoking and suppressed immune systems,
this a key aspect we aim to focus on to help raise awareness.
As well as this, we would use interviews from medical professionals, as well as family and the impact on families who have
lost someone to pneumonia.
In order to make this happen, we would need to get various permissions to film in medical settings, and permissions to share
families stories. However, through good early communication with the client we can ensure a smooth project.

The Pneumonia Trust
The Pneumonia is an NHS non profit organisation based in Nottingham.
Their website states:
Our research focus is to improve the patient journey, by working on the prevention, diagnosis, treatment and recovery of
Community Acquired Pneumonia in partnership with universities, hospitals, primary care settings and commercial
companies both in the UK and overseas. Working alongside us is a group of dedicated, enthusiastic and hardworking patient
public involvement (PPI) volunteer team many of whom have undergone the pneumonia journey.
OUR PLAN
Production Schedule
Our communications officer and production manager Matt Tubb and Brandon Boyd have been working together to create a
team email with connected Google Drive, which we can use to share files with both each other and the client, as well as
communicate with the client.
These two team members will remain responsible for communicating with the client to ensure consistent communication,
feedback, meetings and discussions.

Production post Christmas
Preview February 2020
Edit and final preview March 2020
We will continue to have weekly meetings on Tuesdays at 11am, where we will discuss what we have
done and what needs to be done fore that week.

MATTE PRODUCTIONS Our group has experience working with charity organisations and non-for-profits, as well as having a personal connection with the topic (two group member's relatives having suffered Pneumonia.) Many of us have experience with promotional videos for paid clients, as well as two group members having studied Marketing and PR modules, giving our team an advantage when making promotional material. Each member has a different set of skills they can bring to the team. This ranges from camera skills to social media to networking. Our aim is to work together so we can build on both our strengths and weaknesses by supporting each other throughout all aspects of this project. Our USP and Skills The brief The Pneumonia Trust The brief is to create a short video that provides information to the general public about Community Acquired Pneumonia, following a patients' account of recovery from the illness, as well as signs and symptoms and tips for preventing CAP. The video length has not been set by the client, which allows us to be creative with the project, and allowing use to create a more dramatised piece. We suggested that it may be interesting to look at the experience of CAP from a first person perspective, using first person footage and narration to show the process of how CAP may be acquired, and showing the different stages of its development and treatment. There are many potential causes of Pneumonia, such as diabetes, heart disease, smoking and suppressed immune systems, this a key aspect we aim to focus on to help raise awareness. As well as this, we would use interviews from medical professionals, as well as family and the impact on families who have lost someone to pneumonia. In order to make this happen, we would need to get various permissions to film in medical settings, and permissions to share families stories. However, through good early communication with the client we can ensure a smooth project. Our Ideas The Pneumonia Trust The Pneumonia is an NHS non profit organisation based in Nottingham. Their website states: Our research focus is to improve the patient journey, by working on the prevention, diagnosis, treatment and recovery of Community Acquired Pneumonia in partnership with universities, hospitals, primary care settings and commercial companies both in the UK and overseas. Working alongside us is a group of dedicated, enthusiastic and hardworking patient public involvement (PPI) volunteer team many of whom have undergone the pneumonia journey.

OUR PLAN Production Schedule Our communications officer and production manager Matt Tubb and Brandon Boyd have been working together to create a team email with connected Google Drive, which we can use to share files with both each other and the client, as well as communicate with the client. These two team members will remain responsible for communicating with the client to ensure consistent communication, feedback, meetings and discussions. Storyboard ratification by 1st December 2019 Production post Christmas Preview February 2020 Edit and final preview March 2020 We will continue to have weekly meetings on Tuesdays at 11am, where we will discuss what we have done and what needs to be done fore that week. T 2nd Option: Promotional Video for the Workhouse Network Trust Create a fun, exciting promotional video that includes a variety of techniques.
