1. Business Development Intern CEE
Location of work: Warsaw, Poland

growing PayPal business in CEE region by managing and developing partnerships with regional channel
partners; developing products with local payment providers, banks and telcos; identifying product
development opportunities to facilitate account acquisition.

Primary Job Responsibility
The business development (BD) intern for CEE will join the CEE Business team to help with execution of a
comprehensive go-to-market plan for PayPal expansion in the CEE region.
The BD Intern will be responsible for:
Assisting BD Managers with development of business and revenue opportunities through regional
channel partnerships
Develop partnerships with local/regional Payment Service Providers (PSP) and Shopping Carts
(SC) to create channels partners who will sell the PayPal value proposition to their merchants.
Develop the right value proposition for partner and PayPal aiming to solve customer needs
through differentiation and innovation. The construct should be a revenue generation engine to
the partner and for PayPal.
Diligently lead the partnership buildup from the contract signing to the launch.
Liaise with the PayPal Product and Platform teams to ensure product and integration requests
are diligently reviewed, assessed and executed.
Manage the interface between the PayPal and partner Engagement, Sales Engineering and
development teams to ensure diligent, effective and smooth integration support.
Actively drive PayPal support teams (CS Ops, Risk, Compliance, Legal, Treasury) to ensure
effective integration and operation.
Engage and grow the relationship with new and existing partners
Work in liaison with partners in order to increase the consumer and the merchant
acquisition/engagement.
Launch and execute merchant acquisition campaigns with existing and new channel partners.
2. Liaise with PayPal Marketing and PR teams to ensure the success of effective revenue-generating
channel partner co-marketing promotions.
Proactively engage and coordinate upselling and scope expansion projects.
Coordinate projects expansion at all levels: marketing, product, legal, finance and engineering.
Be a permanent interface for the partner or merchant to solve any operational problem
encountered and drive the solution within PayPal.

operations… to drive the solution delivery to the partner
Ability to manage stressful situations whilst juggling with multiple challenges: creative &
problem solver.

Reporting: to CEE Business Development Manager; to CEE Head of Business Development
1 year of experience (at least internship) in ecommerce, banking or financial services industry
and/or mobile with a solid track record in business development around new technologies
Entrepreneurial spirit and strong technological culture
Strong negotiating & modeling skills
Hands-on, flexibility and can-do attitude is a must, in a start-up spirit team
International background with full fluency English, another CEE language is a distinct benefit
Strong interpersonal & communication skills
Good sense of humor and strong team spirit.
