• Bridal Veil is a kind of
cloth with lace and pile
fabric. The brides wear it
to cover their faces until
they get married
• It may be short or long .
After marriage , ceremony
groom removes it. Red
means to get the brides
good luck.
5. ÜÇETEK
• It is a kind of dress worn over shalwar
by women. It is also called zıbın in the
villages of the region .

8. YAZMA (CREPE)
Crepe is a kind of head scarf
that is ornamented with
needle lace. Each needle
lace motif has a different
meaning . If a bride wears a
pepper laced crepe , it means
that she is unhappy . If she
wears a rose laced crepe , it
means that she is happy and
peaceful in her marriage.
10. BİNDALLI
• Bindallı is a kind of women
dress that has come from
the Ottoman Empire to now
with an original style. In
Ottoman Period girls would
wear "bindallı" at their
weddings and all the other
wedding ceremonies after
their marriages.

dress that is
ornamented
different kinds of
patterns with metal
string on velvet
cloth.It is a long
dress and also has
long sleeve. It is
usually dark blue ,
purple , green or

• It is known that in
the past the Efe
wore hooded boots
in Aegean Region
especially in Aydın
.Nowadays they are
only used for folk
dances on special
festivals and
celebrations .
19. KUŞAK (WAISTBAND)
• The Efe wraps it around their
waist , they put a handkerchief
inside it.
20. CAMADAN
• It is a kind of crosswise and two-breasted
short sleeve waistcoat. It is made of velvet.
Sleeve without sewing is called "cepken"
21. These are Turkish modern uniforms instead of
the Efe clothes which were the Aegean soldiers
in the past.

wears a white ,
black or dark blue
trousers ; a white
shirt . He puts on a
feathery cape and
holds an ornamental

our region . It is believed that it makes

nowadays hardly nobody does it.
