This document welcomes students back to school for the 2012-2013 year and provides information about the upcoming school year. It encourages students to be engaged by being on time, present, participating, open-minded, and thinking critically. It highlights that there are 20 new students and upgrades to technology. The school met academic yearly progress goals in spring 2012 by ranking first in 17 categories and demonstrating growth in most student subgroups. Goals for the new year are to continue student learning momentum, improve teaching effectiveness using strategies from "Teach Like a Champion", increase academic rigor for all students, and target support for special student populations.
