Treatment
For my advertI am creating a fashion advert, which meansthe aim of
my advertis to sell clothes, for this to be successfulit is important
that I make my clothes look fun and trendy for my target audience. In
order to achieve this I will usequick fast shots that demonstratethe
quick lifestyle of the models and the fun life they live. However
despite havingto makethe advertlook fun, I have to also show the
clothes to draw my target audiencein, showingthem the clothes that
are offered on my line. To do this I willuse long shots which show
outfits in their entirety, close upswhich show the differentmaterials
and specific items of an outfit (e.g. shoes), tilt movementswith the
camera to show the length of an outfit without havingto keep the
camera at a standstill, likewise for reasoningI willalso usetracking
shots. By usingaction shots, this willallow me to show modelsin
their entirety in their outfit for promotion, whilst also showing what
it lookslike when they moveand when they are in action, this
showing that the outfits are easy to movein a comfortable whilst
looking good at the sametime.
To make my advertlook fun Iwill also usea fun track to accompany
the video of my advert, I will usean upbeat well-known track (it may
be remixed to make it more upbeathowever it will be recognizable)
to attract my intended target audience. The music will be upbeat to
promotethe fun, party vibe. The musicwill be appropriateto the
video of the advertand I will make it fit perfectly.
Narrative is very importantwith my advert, and the fact that I have 2
meansI have 2 chances to make my advertslook fun, with2
completely differentnarratives. In my first advertthere willbe
balloons in the setting automatically connotingto the idea of a party
or a celebration, which are considered to be fun. I will also have a
ladder and a chair and the modelswill be messing about with them
and messing around posingthroughoutthe advert, the use of their
laughter will suggest that they are having fun. In my second advert
the narrativeis that they are having a food fight with the propsof
squirty cream and chocolate sauce, this joke fight eruptsthrough
simplemessing about. Despite that the clothes will be messed up and
partially ruined from the advert, you willstill be able to see them
beforehand and despite the messon their clothing you will also be
able to still see the clothing. I decided to do the food fight advertto
make a mess because the brand is called “urban mess”.
