I can't fail this test. I have to do well on this test. I have too.
My day had been off to a rough start. In the morning, I was late to the first period. I fell twice during
that period, and once during passing period. It was only second period, and I could not stop thinking
about how I had to take the ACT test tomorrow morning at 8. I was shaking and sweating all day. I
really wanted to do well on the ACTs. I was pretty sure I was qualified to take the test. However, I

Short Story
There once was a boy named Mac, Mac didn't have any friends outside of school because he was
always to shy to ask other children with and his family was too busy to notice. He was so bored
sitting around with no one else to share his life with. Nothing to do, no one to do it with. He was all

Abstract
Here we report the fabrication of a flexible all carbon field effect transistor (FET) using a low cost,
recyclable and biodegradable cellulose paper as both substrate as well as dielectric and pencil
graphite as source, drain, channel and gate without using any other expensive, toxic or non–
biodegradable materials. The electron and hole mobility's of FET are observed to be 180 and 200
cm2v–1s–1 respectively which are comparable to the recently reported values of paper FET with
polymer dielectric and cellulose composite dielectrics. The FET was utilized as a strain sensor
which shows good sensitivity for low strains of both tensile and compressive type. The mobility of
the FET increases with increase in compressive strain and decreases with increase in tensile strain.
The sensitivity of the FET sensor increases with the increase in the gate voltage.

Further we investigated the performance of the sensor by integrating it with hand gloves to detect

A person can have many skills, whether it be good or bad. Someone could paint really well or could
be a disastrous cook. There are many common skills such as doing underwater handstands and then
there are skills that are absolutely out of the blue, for example bending their index finger backwards
down the wrist. My skill isn't too common though it isn't very unique either. My skill isn't painting

I will admit, drawing is hard when you first attempt it, but drawing is made up of building blocks.
You start out with a pencil sketch, and start adding new edits and textures to make it more and more

The process of creating "text" without using technology appeared to be a simple task that would
allow the students to be a creator of his or her unique technology free masterpiece. I just had to
come up with a creative, natural way to write text instead of using modern technologies that society

I could use the juice form smashing up raspberries, blueberries, strawberries, and blackberries to
create natural paint. I purchased all the berries but I still needed something to create my text on. I
was looking for a piece of fruit big enough to display my text when I discovered the honeydew
melon. The surface of the melon was hard and smooth which would operate as a perfect canvas for
my fruit paint. The only part of my creation that would not be completely natural would be the
paintbrush, I would have to use this tool since my finger or a stick wouldn't work. After I smashed
up all the fruit, I used a paintbrush and dabbed it into the juice then wrote what was supposed to be
an "A" on the surface of the honeydew melon. Once again, I reached another failure. The juice form

My third attempt turned out to be successful but was more restrictive than I thought it would be.

technology. I didn't think this would be much of a problem. I figured I could hand–write something
instead of typing it or using a word processor and that would meet the requirements of the project.

For the base of my project, I arranged rows of sticks that I would tie together with the vines. I tried
to pull the vines apart to make them easier to tie with, as I had seen Tom Hanks do in the movie Cast
Away, but I was unable to tear a strip that was much longer than the length of my finger. The vines,
also being quite slippery from the juice inside the stems, would simply not allow me to get a very
good grip on them. Foregoing the vine idea, I decided to try and pack dirt on top of the sticks to
create a forced base. Although the dirt was moist, it still wouldn't pack well and kept cracking and
crumbling.
After laboring to press grass stems into the dirt, while picking up the pieces of mud that were
accumulating at my feet, I finally got the first word imprinted with the grass and was finally ready to
put the berry stems in it to make the word stand out against the black of the dirt base. When I
plucked the berry from its stem, a deep red juice oozed onto my fingertips. The idea struck me like a
lightening bolt! I could use the berry juice as ink and write on one of the pieces of wood I had
gathered from the yard. I suddenly felt very foolish for not thinking of this much simpler project

I am going to make sure there is only a handful of rules. It is important for students to not to have so
many rules they will not remember them. A few rules I may have is, "raise your hand to ask a
question" or "no talking when the teacher is talking". I will make sure I have the consequences

It was the year 2014 and summer had come to a close. My mind had suddenly switched from
lounging on the warm, sandy beach and being gently kissed by sunshine to traumatizing, stressful

I used pencil in order to create a high contrast with the shadows and highlights and I used colored

I was roaming around the campus with a piece of white paper that had my new classes printed on it.
The first class on my list was Art 1 with Ms. George. I assumed in this class is all you do is pick up
any color crayon, and doodled a picture just for fun. However, this class was not as I expected to be.

not having any breaks for my right hand to rest. In art class, I was taught different ways how the
pencil was used. The important rule was how you held the pencil in your hands. When holding onto

My Experience Of Art
Since elementary school I have envisioned my life deeply intertwined with art, however, at the same
time I also knew that vision never had me living out the stereotype of a starving artist either. As a
child my understanding of artist in the work force was nothing more than the cliché vision, of a
paint covered artist smearing vivid hues on a canvas and then rushing to the nearest art gallery to
sell their work. I didn't know anything of the vast opportunities for artist or even how abundantly art
is used throughout our society. Maybe this was due to the fact I was never one of those kids who
know what they wanted to be since they were three. Nevertheless, I always had a passion to create,
even when I was determined to become the next Thomas Edison, I was looking for an outlet to
create. By the time third grade would roll around though, it would be made evident that art in its
most traditional since of drawing and painting would be the outlet I was always looking for.
Understanding my niche in the creative world would take me over a decade of self–evaluation,
inspiration, and research.
I never started out saying I was going to be an artist, I still did a child's fair share of doodles and
finger painting but it was never anything that raptured my attention. However, this would all change
on Christmas Eve, when my grandmother presented me with a book entitled "How to Draw 120 of

During my time at Archmere, I have founded a club called the Pencil Project that collects pencils
and other school supplies and sends them to a less privileged school so that students have a chance
to learn and excel. During my sophomore year, we collected over $800 and supplies to send to a

will send the goods to a school in South Carolina where 86% of the students participate in the free

My Experience In My Life
When I was younger, I oftentimes found myself with a pencil and paper in my hand. I would leave a
multitude of marks on the paper in some form or fashion, whether it be scribbles, unvarying words
and sentences, my name, or the names of family members. Growing older, I would find myself
writing more than enough when it came to essays. I could never bring myself to leave out any
details and I rarely used simple sentences. Originally, I assumed it was because I wanted the
validation of my parents and teachers, but it was something else I had yet to realize. I liked writing
and I realized it one day when I was in my room, listening to music.
In my youth, I was passionate about school and learning. This was partially due to my parents'

Portability was described as the extent to which the text could be moved or carried. Nature referred
to the extent to which the materials used in creating the text and/or writing surface were found in
nature and not manufactured or highly processed. During this experiment, I tried to consider what
completely natural materials I could find. I resorted to using materials found in my backyard
including rocks, dirt, sand, sticks, grass, and leaves. The permanence criterion of the assignment
narrowed my choices by eliminating writing in the dirt, sand, or mud or with grass or leaves. Wind
or rain would erase any writing created using these materials. The issue of portability further
narrowed my decision to use a small, hand–held, sharp rock to scrape or chisel words into a larger
stone which was able to be carried. The stone needed to have a writing surface large enough to
chisel words but not so large that it could not be easily transported. All in all, inventing a technology
which was creative was somewhat of a problem when considering permanence and portability and
was overlooked as a criterion.
Although the solution to the assignment may sound easy, the creation process was actually very

teachers going to be able to make sure every student learns? Maribel, Julianne, Michelle, Matthew,
and Ana are Geography Geniuses and are here to advise how to ensure that every student learns.
Focusing on the 3rd grade standard SS.3.G.1.1, students will use thematic maps, tables, charts,
graphs, and photos to analyze geographic information. The information being taught is declarative
because students will acquire factual knowledge and information that can be spoken about at any
time. The activities utilize hands–on and drill methods with the objective that if students are shown a
blank map they will be able to recognize and recall all elements of the map automatically. Lastly,
they fit into the remember and understand levels of Bloom's Taxonomy because students will

serious about it when I visited my Aunt's home last year. I saw my cousin sketching in a small

Enabling Physics 1 & 2 – Investigative Research Assignment
Question:
What is the relationship between the percentage of Graphite (Carbon) in a lead pencil and the
electrical resistance of the graphite in the lead pencil?
Hypothesis:
The prediction is that a higher concentration of Carbon in a pencil will produce a lower resistance
due to Carbon being more conductive than Clay produced in lead pencils.

Materials:
1 x Digital Multimeter (Digitor Q1467)
13 x Pencils (Derwent Graphic 12; ranging from 6H – 6B)
1 x Pencil Sharpener
1 x 300mm Ruler
Procedure:
1. A Multimeter was set up by placing the red probe in the (VΩmA) port and the black probe into
the (COM) port. The large centre dial was set to the 200 OHM (Ω) range, to allow for a low range
resistance measurement.
2. The HB pencil was sharpened on both ends to 180mm long, with the use of a pencil sharpener and
a 300 mm ruler, to expose the graphite on each side of the pencil.
3. The ends of the pencil were attached to the leads of the multimeter ensuring contact is maintained
only with the graphite. Figure 2. Shows a diagram of the pencil and multimeter setup.
4. The OHM (Ω) reading on the multimeter was recorded once the reading stabilised.
5. Touch the two leads of the multimeter together after each measurement and record the reading
error.
6. Repeat steps 2 to 4 for each of the remaining

My Writing-Year Writing, Reading, And Writing
Written word and reading came to me in the way oil is introduced to a cup of water, a sudden
disagreement. I have never Liked reading or writing, but in 6th grade I began to truly despise it. I
was always a math and science person ,but I knew could write a well versed and attention grabbing
story and essay. My downfall however, was that I could never write them the right way. Being that I
always have went through school each year writing wrong. The description of my 6th grade year is
what conjured up my decision to change that. This is the year I buckled down, and I told myself that
this will be the year I become a better reader as well as a better writer. My 6th grade year began at
Fulton Leadership Academy in East Point Georgia, with it being a new school I went in to the year
thinking "this year will be a breeze", but little did I know the hills and valleys that were destined for
me to rise ,but also fall. My Teacher's name was Ms.Hicks, she was a nice lady but she was all about
business. She loved to read, no matter what genre.The expectation from the beginning of the year
was made clear that we will be reading stories and writing about them all year and that we will
master writing about the novels we havve read.. The year went by day by day till I was assigned my
first paper. Of course I can write, but I could never write in the right context or format. I began
writing the assignment,and could not figure out why my mind could not reproduce the

My Personal Experience : My Experience In My Life
When I was younger, I frequently found myself with a pencil and paper in my hand. I would leave a
multitude of marks on the paper in some form or fashion, whether it be scribbles, repetitive words
and sentences, my name, or the names of family members. Growing older, I would find myself
writing more than enough when it came to essays. I could never bring myself to leave out any
details and I rarely used simple sentences. Originally, I thought it was because I wanted the
validation of my parents and teachers, but it was something else I had yet to realize. I liked writing
and it hit me one day when I was in my room, listening to music. As a child, I was passionate about
school and learning. This was partially because my parents wanted me to achieve anything I put my
mind to and mostly because I loved the fact that I was attending school. I remember my mother and
father always saying, "Do your best no matter how hard it gets. Even if you don't get the correct
answer, you can always say you tried and that's all we ask of you." Being human, we make mistakes
and get things wrong from time to time. With my childlike innocence, I thought my parents would
be disappointed if I got something wrong, but they reassured me that mistakes happen and you can't
be right one hundred percent of the time. They then taught me how it was okay to make mistakes
and nothing could disappoint them because they had unconditional love for me. So of course, they
helped me

My Passion For Art
Everyone at some point in their lives found themselves doodling on the side of their paper or on a
napkin at the local restaurant. For me, this doodling did not simply stop as I got older, but instead
festered my curiosity and encouraged me to continue on. The very moment that my interest in art
peaked was when I noticed my mother sketching a portrait of one of my younger sisters. After that, I
began to try on my own. That trying was often times led to me failing more times than not, and
giving up hope in myself. Throughout life I began to notice the world around me and the different
people that were able to create beautiful works of art on their own, so I began to draw once again.
This lead to art becoming a major part of my life and allowing me to get more involved in so many
different opportunities that I could not even fathom being a part of before. My passion for creaticity
was inspired from the very early ages of childhood where I would simply sit and watch my mom, to
me having my very own experience with it, and now being able to partake my interest and pursue it
further. I had always drawn on the side of my papers in class or on the pages fancy restaurants
would give you to keep you occupied while you waited. That was just something that every child
did, nothing that anyone would expect to continue on today. Maybe I should have noticed something
different when I would color in the coloring books at home or even with my siblings. I loved to
