Giancarlo Fisichella was an Italian Formula 1 driver who raced between 1996 and 2010. He made his debut with Minardi in 1996 before joining Jordan and Benetton. In 2005, he joined Renault where he had success, including pole position at the Australian Grand Prix that year. After disappointing results in 2007, he left Formula 1 to race in other categories such as the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
