2. The AS course..
I started the AS course with no knowledge or previous
experience in media studies, and felt unconfident
starting a new subject, and using programmes such as
photoshop. However, by the end of the course, I feel
that I gained confidence in using such programmes
and definitely saw a significant improvement in the
quality of my work from the preliminary task to my final
piece. To improve my AS course, I would stick to the
deadlines set by teacher better, and research more
around the genre I chose to make my magazine
seem more realistic; also I would spend more time
constructing my final piece so it was completed to the
best of my abilities.
3. What I expect from A2.
• I expect the A2 course to be challenging, especially
as our coursework elements link into our exam more
specifically than it did at AS. However, the
coursework briefs seem exciting which may interest
me more than AS, seeing as we can produce our
coursework in small groups, which will relieve some
pressure. During the A2 course, I know that I will
have to be more proactive and stick to deadlines
better, and thoroughly research genre theory to
make my coursework successful, as well as it
benefiting my exam.
