Web 2.0 Review
For my Web 2.0 assignment I chose to do Pinterest, because it has all three elements that
truly makes it a Web 2.0 site. The three elements are that it has to be free, it allows for
collaboration, and allows for real time. Pinterest is a completely free site, there are no monthly
or yearly membership fees. Pinterest allows you to search for topics that you want to gather ideas
for and allows you to also search for your friends. Pinterest allows you to “pin” items or posts
and make boards, all in real time. When collaborating ideas, you can got to other peoples’ sites
or accounts and look through their boards to gain ideas. Once again, Pinterest is a completely
free site that absolutely anyone can use. Not only is Pinterest good for personal use, but it is a
great tool for in your classroom. Teachers can use Pinterest to gather ideas from various people
and sources in order to make their lessons interesting. Pinterest is a prime example of a Web 2.0
application.
