A Mother's Love In My Aged Mother By Matsuo Basho
A mothers love I analyzed, My Aged Mother by Matsuo Basho. The emperor issues a cruel order
to have all the old folks abandoned and left to die. They have no use to the community at an old
age. A poor farmer lived with his aged mother down the hill. During work he received the news of
the order and dreaded having to go home. As he returns from work he packs his mother's supper,
lifted her onto his back and started walking towards the Obatsayuma, the mountain of the
"abandoning of aged". The mother was anxious as they drifted path to path going deeper and
deeper into the woods. She began to break branches off trees to leave a path, so her son could find
his way back home. As he put her down onto the pile of leaves, she told him to follow the path of
twigs. He looked back down the path and looked at his hopeless mother and lifted her back onto
his back. He couldn't believe the kind act from his mother, so he took her back home. When he
arrived, he told the emperor his story and the emperor listened to his story and abolished the cruel
order. There are three characters. The emperor is a cruel absolute leader, a warrior who declared
the decree to have the old folk abandoned and left to die. He feels that the older folk do not
contribute, are not strong, and they have no use to the community. He is a role model to the
kingdom, he motivates the people to see the strongest ability within themselves. The emperor
realized the act of the poor farmer's mother showed him that the

Mother And Daughter Relationships
Reflecting back over the course of the pass four years, I have dealt with various situations that
remain difficult to explain. In my life I have dealt with love, loss, and betrayal of the one person, I
trusted the most in my life my mother. A mother and daughters love is a special bond that spans
throughout the years; therefore, through laughter, worry, smiles, and tears. There is a sense of trust
cannot be broken; a depth of love that is unspoken which turns into a lifelong friendship built on
trust, sharing, hugs, kisses, warmth, and caring. A mother daughter love is two hearts that come
together as one. A love so unconditional that could never be broken. Nevertheless, this should be
true, describing the love between a mother and daughter. What has happened in my past would
make you rethink a mother's love for her daughter. A person you thought would jump in front of a
bullet for you and never lie to you or steal to gain for her own benefit. A person that only thought
about herself and not her own children, which is a tragic story, based on the betrayal from your own
mother. She has also destroyed a twenty–five year marriage over another man who probably does not
exist in my view. When I was in my junior year of high school, my mother decided to go to college
to receive a Medical Assistant degree. It was a delightful time for my brother and me, to have a
better chance paying for college. My brother and I never expected what the outcome of my mother

My Mom Taught Me
Looking back through my life, i have realized my mother has taught me the most. The one who
means the most to me, the one person that has been the absolute best she can be for me and our
family, always. The strongest most wise human being i know has been in my life since day one,
which i am forever grateful for. "The happiest people don't have the best of everything, they just
make the best of everything." This quote is something my mom has always lived by and taught her
kids at a young age. We weren't rich, didn't have everything we needed at times but we always had
our family and love that went all around, which was enough for us. My mom is honestly my rock,
she has been there for me through everything. Throughout life we have definitely had our
differences, mostly it's me, the teenager wanting to do something stupid and my mom trying to show
me why i shouldn't make these careless decisions. As a teenager you might think you are grown and
know everything that's why the parents are there to knock some sense into our brains, they have
been through the same exact stuff, they can shed some light on the situation. Parents try to teach
their kids to learn from their mistakes but, everyone has to learn from their own mistakes. So the
parents can only do their best at teaching their children morals. My mother has taught me everything
i know, starting off with being grateful everyday, living in the moment every single day, to seize the
day. My mom has taught me right from

Love My Mother
We try to compare our parents to other parents, our friends always tell us 'hey your mom and dad
were super cool' but we think to ourselves, are my parents that cool. I think the world revolves on
how strict or soft our parents can be. We all have our experiences with our parents growing up to
now that we're in college, we look back and we ask ourselves was my mom or dad strict with me or
soft, which leads me to telling you this story were i will be explaining how my mother was soft
compared to Sophia's mother from tiger mom.
In this story short "why i love my strict chinese mom" by Sophia–Chua–Rubenfield, she talks about
how her mother was so strict with her. Sophia was 18 years old at this time, so at the beginning of
the story Sophia starts telling us how she had such a hard mother know everybody criticized her.
My mother raised me like every other parent excluding her rules, in the story Tiger mom Sophia
explains how critically involved her mom was in school with her, She explains to us how strict
and uptight she was with her during her period of growing up. I feel like my mom was very
lenient more say soft as I grew up, she had her boundaries she had her walls and she only told me
once the things I had to do, things are very set out and forward between me and my mother there
is no hiding anything no lies. So I felt like I had her trust there is no curfew there is never a talk
about hey don't do this don't do that don't hang out with these people, I feel like she never

Motherly Love
In the three stories we read by Flannery O'Connor; "The Comforts of Home", "Everything That
Rises Must Converge", and "The Enduring Chill", the major relationship portrayed was between
mothers and their hypersensitive sons. While all of the major characters, the sons, were noticeably
similar, the lesser characters of the mothers were also very alike in many ways. Many of their views,
gestures and outward qualities paralleled throughout the stories. After rereading all of the stories
again I came to the realization that the mothers O'Connor wrote in her stories were variations of the
same person.
One of the qualities that jump out first is that all three mothers are...show more content...
The boys feel that either their mother did not do a good enough job raising them or that she has
disrupted the proper pace of their lives. This is apparent in all the boys but especially confusing in
the case of Julian. At the beginning of the story he says "he could have stood his lot better if she
[his mother] had been an old hag who drank and screamed at him" (5) yet later talks about how
"there was no reason for her to think she could always depend on him" (14). While he feels that
she raised him well, he does not want her to feel that he will be there for her like she seems to
have been there for him. Asbury makes it very clear that he feels his mother was the unnerving
force that lead to the demise of his life. Upon his death, he wanted his mother to read a letter her
wrote to her about "what she had done to him" (91) but thought, "that his mother would not
understand the letter at once... he thought she would be able to see that he forgave her for all that
she had done to him" (91). This statement, like Julian's is not truly supported in any way. It
appears in both stories that the boys mothers did everything they possible could to give their
children the best of life. Thomas, on the other hand, does not feel quite as much observable
loathing to his mother and says that he "loved his mother. He loved her because it was his nature to
do so, but there were times when he could not endure her love for him" (118). Unlike the other

What can one say about their mother? One may talk about her positive and negative characteristics.
There are so many great traits I love and admire about my mom, that it would be difficult and unfair
to write about just one. Being strong, generous and optimistic are all some great personality traits,
which my mother possesses.
Ever since I can remember, my mother has been a strong individual. She raised my brother and I
financially, emotionally, physically and spiritually by herself. My mom gave her all, by that I
mean, she worked two jobs to make sure her children ate properly and that they had the essential
amenities to grow happily and successfully. Another way she supported us was with love and care.

She would encourage me by simply saying, "Complaining is a useless way to solve problems, but
becoming active on the issue is a great way to conquer it. My mother My mother has always had
strong faith and views in her religion. When I was younger, every day and night, she would bring
prayer time to me and my brother's attention. My mom instilled As a child, my mother displayed the
seriousness of spirituality. In which she expressed her faith in us at an early age, that prayer time
was not the time to make jokes nor to complain about having to partake in it.
One lesson she taught us the most, was how seriousness about our spiritual beliefs could provide us
with a substantial, stable and structural lifestyle.
My mother's heart is at its purest when giving. I witnessed my mother chip in and pay for people's
rent, car notes, and buying them groceries. Although my mother's intentions were good,
occasionally, her generosity has been taken advantage of. One time a close friend of the family, came
to my mother in desperate need. He asked her to loan him a large amount of money, with the
agreement that he would pay back in either monthly or weekly installments. My mom never did see
the money that was due to her. Despite the incident she still gives and encourages others to give,
whether is it a donation, or volunteering your time in your community. My

Growing Lily
At age three I said "I love you mommy." At age seven I said, "Mom, stop kissing my cheek!" At age
fifteen I say, "You're so annoying– I can't wait to move out!" At age eighteen, I'll be saying "I miss
home." At age twenty–seven I'll be saying "I miss my mom." At age forty I'll be saying "I miss you
so much; I wish you didn't have to go." My mom is the sun to my shine. My mother is a hard worker.
She loves what she does for a living. She does arrangements for peoples' houses. I've seen her
work from 7 a.m. to midnight at times. The hard work pays off but most of her earnings go to bills
or groceries. When she has a new project, she goes shopping for flowers to make what mental image
she has in her into reality. The...show more content...
She has the power to make you smile when you're down, make you cry by telling a story, keep you
under control when you're too rowdy and get angry when needed. Family is an important thing to my
mother. She loves to spend as much time as she can with them. She believes in the Hawaiian
saying, "Ohanna: Nobody gets left behind." This past summer we went on a cruise ship. The
whole side of my mom's family had gone. I enjoyed my time there, especially when we arrived in
Cozumel, MX. One of the most embarrassing things that could happen to me frightened my mom
to death. Purging is said to make you lose weight. The banging on the restroom door startled me
knowing I would be caught. From that point on she took extra care of my health. Looking after
what I ate, when I should exercise etc. When I was fourteen, my parents and I made a deal that if I
lost twenty pounds, I would be able to get my first tattoo. She supported me with it, thus, me losing
the weight. Not everyone grows up with manners. I have a high tolerance for respect. Growing up
going to church every Sunday due to my mom helped me adapt to maturity. Not that I'm highly
bipolar, but I do lose my temper really drastically. I've been taught by my mom to forgive and
forget. Through the worst of her times that people have put her through; she forgives. She tells me
I have the blood of my dad seeing as how I will always hold a grudge towards someone no matter
what. I know my mom wants the best for her kids,

Descriptive Essay About My Mother
No matter how hard life gets for me and how chaotic things can become there has always been one
person that I can turn to, my mom. She's been a wealth of advice to call on when I'm clueless and
a shoulder to cry on when I'm down. Her compassion for others inspires me to be a better person
as does the guidance she has given me over the years. She's not afraid to give me a reality check
and to tell me the things I don't want to hear even though I need to. She keeps me grounded and
teaches me to appreciate the smaller things in life. Even though my dad was still involved in my life
after my parents split up it was my mother who I primarily lived with and it was her who had the

Heaven help you if you do anything to endanger her family. My mom also does not go soft on her
kids; she can be a formidable disciplinarian when she wants to and will not hesitate to set us
straight when we broke the rules. She won't let anybody walk over her and is really quick to anger
if you try. My mother is strong–willed and stubborn; when she sets her mind to something almost
nothing will stop her and what an impossible feat it is to change her mind on something. She is
very impatient; when she wants something done she wants it done at this very moment, no later.
She is idealistic and she enjoys the simpler things that life has to offer. She loves nature and would
love nothing more than to be living in a cabin in the mountains while listening to country music.
She does not pay much attention to news happening outside her local area and prefers to focus on
what's happening in her immediate area. From my mother I have learned how to be the person that
I am today. Through her I have learned the importance of family and that it is paramount to spend
time with them while I still have it. Even now I try to spend time with my family when I have the
opportunity to. Form her I have learned compassion for those around me and for animals. Even

Narrative Essay On Mothers Love
A Mother's Love My mom has had the greatest impact on my life. She has always taught me to
always try my hardest and to treat everyone equally and with respect. My mom's heart and
determination is what I hope to have one day. She always puts anyone before herself. She is the
kindness, most generous woman I have ever met. I can only hope to become like my mom one
day. My mom impact my life because of all the different experiences we have experienced together.
The day after Hurricane Harvey hit Houston, my mom and I decided to go out and buy supplies to
donate to the people affected by it. Later that cold day, we went to Walmart and bought toiletries,
bottled water, and brand new clothing and shoes. The friendly cashier with pink hair said,...show

Once they finished talking on the phone, my mom sat down and started bawling. My dad asked my
mom, "What's wrong honey?" After that, my mom started telling us that my great–grandmother just
recently passed away. I didn't really know my great–grandmother, but when my mom told me the
horrible news, my heart broke into a thousand pieces because I knew how much my mom loved
her grandmother. Later that week, we traveled to Great Bend for her funeral. It was a very
depressing day and all you could see were people weeping, but you could tell they were trying to
put a brave face on. My mom tried her hardest to keep her tears in, but she couldn't, it was just too
hard for her. I hugged my mom and told her that everything was going to be alright and that I love
her so much. My mom has her down moments, but she also has those exciting, fun moments. The
week before summer vacation in sixth grade, my mom and I decided to go to Elitch Gardens in
Denver, Colorado. The road trip was super fun, but there was quite a lot of traffic that day. Once
we arrived, we bought our tickets and went through security. The metal detector went off on my
mom because she forgot to put her phone in the box. Elitch Gardens was very crowded that day. We
couldn't get anywhere without bumping into all the sweaty people. The lines were super long and
all these little kids were fussing about waiting in line. We decided to get on the tallest wooden roller
coaster there,

I Love My Mother Essay
As a person I am an aunt, sister, cousin, a niece, a granddaughter, a daughter. As a person I am
kind, loving, protective. I am protective of my sisters, my nieces, my brother, and my mom. I
would do what ever I could for my family. I love my family with all my heart. Cause if anything
happens to any of my family I will hunt after anyone who hurts them. I will do anything to keep
them safe. Even if they get a scratch on them I would ask my sister what happen to my nieces. So
if I don't get an answer I will tell my sister to do something. I love them so much so I try to call
every night once in a while when I feel sad. But when I call to talk to them I don't even get
answer. So I call and call over and over again until they answer. I would do any thing to be able to
see my nieces. I love them so much I would do anything to see them. I love them all very much. I
hate to see them in pain. I would do anything to see them. I love them a lot with all my heart.
What I like to do in my free time is play with my cats, play with my guinea pig, do slime with my
sister, watch television, play my tablet, play my phone, play with my mini computer. I also like to
call my mom when I am at my dad's, when I am at my mom's I like to text my dad' and when I am
at both of my parents I like to call my sister to talk to my nieces. What describes me as kind,

My Love My Mother
Now I wasn't some kind of sociopath as a child (for the most part), I have always loved my mom.
But when you're a child you love people very shallowly, it's just a thing you say before bed or
when you hug a family member. It doesn't usually go deeper than that for a child. Love though is
more than a word its an action that requires selflessness, understanding, and sacrifice. And at age 14
I was going to learn step by step how to truly love someone.
To understand this story we have to go a little further back Into my past. See my mom as
Hypoparathyroidism (fifty cent word I know). It means that her hormones are out of control,
leaving her constantly tired and in pain. She's been sick my whole life and has required multiple
surgeries. Sometimes it was hard and my sisters and I had to miss out on some thing's (though
not many because my mom was amazing). For awhile everything was fine, then my dad got
diagnosed with a rare form of bone cancer. He was given only a few months to live, but he fought
hard for nearly two years before he died on August 2nd, 2012. Two long years of worry, strife, of
doctors visits, of a never ending stream of visitors, and two years of people rallying around us and
showing us love.
At the end of it all I was left without my dad (my best friend) and what at the time felt like the
broken pieces of a family, barely being held together at the seams. I was a very bitter tween moody,
sarcastic, and tired of my family. Now looking back at 18 I can see

I Care For My Mother
1.I care for my dear mother, art, and education. I care for my mom because she is the woman that
gave me life and raised me to become the person who I am today. I have learned how to treat other
people better through watching her, and she has shown me what it means to be honest and
trustworthy. She has forced me to take challenges like applying to colleges outside of Texas even
though I had never been anywhere else than Texas, Oklahoma, and Mexico. She has supported me in
my goals to receive a college degree to someday help underprivileged family in poor communities
and poor countries. Second, I care for my education. Every day I help my family, and I have realized
that I would like to expand my assistance and help others. As I mentioned, I want to be a college
graduate and be certified in a field that will allow me to assist people, such as children. I am not
sure what I want to do with the rest of my life, but I know that I want to help people. I want to be
able to use the skills and knowledge I learn in college for the betterment of others and myself.
College is the vehicle for this because I believe the only way for me to flourish mentally and
financially is growing in my education. Education is already my passion, and college will suffice
my hunger for knowledge. Third, I care for art. Beyond honing my skills in traditional subjects, I
have become deeply invested in developing as an artist. At first, art in my eyes was just something
that I was good at creating.

Love Of A Mother Essay
A LOVE OF A MOTHER
Mother is the woman who gave birth to you. Mother is the one who knows all about you and
Mother is the one who sacrifice all for you. So all mother in the world should be respected because
we all know that they deserve it and always remember that we are here because of them. Love,
respect and care your mother as you can, Because if you love someone you feel that they are very
important to you and if you respect you have a good opinion of them, and lastly if you care you feel
that it is important and are concerned about it.
She is the first person to sacrifice her life by giving birth to all of us children. She taught us how
to walk, talk and smile. Our first mentor and teacher in helping us determine what is right and
wrong. That is how our mothers are! Some moms, especially in our new generation evolve as the
sole providers of the family. Many are saying that mothers are the emotional backbones of the
family. If problems occur they are the strongest person to hold back and we can...show more content...
She is her children's best friend. A mother is someone who loves you unconditionally and more than
life itself. Mothers are angels in disguise sent from God to watch and help us through our
troublesome times. We hardly stop to think of how they feel and if they need help, we abuse them in
a sense by not appreciating them enough. The definition for love is a great liking or affection.
But love is something stronger. Love doesn't give up, doesn't have a swelled head and doesn't
force itself on others. Love isn't jealous, is always forgiving and without love, we are nothing. A
mother's love is a bond that connects us together, even before birth. It is stronger than any feeling
of hate or fury. Love takes on everything, even if it can't carry it all. Mothers may seem just like
ordinary people, but they are really super heroes in disguise! They show their love in a million
different ways every

I Admire My Mother Essay
When you look at my family right now, you can see that everyone is separated from each other.
My mom and sister live in the states, my other sister lives in the Philippines, and I live here on
Saipan with my father. My mother is the kind of person that can voice her opinions, one that can
speak to people, and someone who can find a way through any situation. These are some of the
reasons I admire my mother deeply. When you look at my mother, she is a lady of Asian descent
who seemingly has a quiet and menacing aura. One thing I admire about my mom is the fact that
she can speak her mind out, whether it was hurtful to one or not. I recall a time when we were at
a big mall with a seemingly endless vast of clothing, which seemed to be Macy's clothing shop if I
recall correctly. We then entered the faded sliding door in which the intoxicating smell of sweet
perfume assaulted my nostrils; the smell was extremely thick it seemed as if you could see the waft
of perfume. This scent caused my mother to say "The smell here is horrid", and the staff working
there looked at my mother wondering "who was this lady who just insulted the...show more content...
During those adventurous trips I seem to notice that people often spoke to her. In just about
anywhere, whether it may be a shop or a hospital, my mother seemed to run into people that knew
her, including the dock with the big huge ships; someone seemed to have known my mother. I
remember going to Managaha and my mom just stepped into a boat and asked a man to take us to
Managaha, and he did. Apparently my mom was his first aid instructor, so he gave us a free ride
there and back. I saw the glittering ocean and I smelled the fresh salty breeze, it was almost as if
you could taste the air of salt. The ocean was a magical place, after we stayed at Managaha for a bit
we returned home. My mother's affable personality was one of her charming marks that attracted

Personal Narrative : I Love My Mother
I love my mom. I wouldn't replace her for anything, but my mom and I don't always get along. We

when I don't obey or listen to her and I don't like to listen or obey her. We both don't like to admit

got dressed and came to the bathroom. I didn't dry my hair because I always believed my hair can

need to. It is fine, I always air dry it." This time she yelled," JIAMEI GO DRY YOUR

didn't want to blow dry my hair?ВЁ Which triggered my mom get even more heated. "It is not that

My Mother's Selfless Love
Mothers are our life philosophers with selfless love. Mothers make us, kids, become especially
thoughtful about the nature of life. Among all the lovely things in the nature, mothers are the most
rare and precious, as we only have one mother in the whole world. Like Henry Ward Beecher, the
19th century American Congregationalist Clergyman, once said that, "The mothers' heart is the
child's schoolroom." We are influenced by our mothers throughout our life; so am I. I might forget
the words that my mother say to me, but I still remember the feeling that she gave me. It's just like I
don't remember lyric, but I still remember the tune of the song. She is my greatest source of
education and I have fallen in love with her since the first second I opened my eyes. My mother is a
mother and her heart also happens to be my schoolroom.
A young girl who got married at the age of 17 to a guy that she had never known before. She is

her parents' funeral. Her two siblings are not capable of helping the family, but only asking her for
money while she was struggling to pay her parents' debts. People changed, she thought at that time,

My Mother Essay
My mother has had the greatest influence on me. Growing Up she has taught me many things.
She has helped me many times and still does. I have learned many lessons with her helping me.
Responsibility is one of the very important things she has taught me. How to be a good person
around others that are not. My mother has been and still is the only parent I see every day. While
being with her I have learned many things. She has taught me to be responsible for my things like
my clothing and art supplies, around people, and my siblings. At home I have to finish my chores
sweeping, mopping, washing laundry, cleaning of the tables and the counter top, and sometimes
clean the yard. Most of the time I have to help my sisters with their laundry or sweeping, and
sometimes cook for my family when my mother and grandmother are not home. When I have too
much work at home and schoolwork my mother would help me finish my chores and we will be
free for the rest of the day and when that happens we all spend time as a family and go eat or
watch a movie. I have learned lessons while living with my mother and a big family. A lesson I
have learned was never add too much salt in my rice and soup. Do not add a bunch of soap into
the washer machine or I will have to clean it up myself and to sew but do not push a needle up
between two cloths while your thumb is in the way. Mother was busy helping my sisters with their
laundry and the food was not prepared. I had nothing to do so she called my name

My Relationship With My Mother Essay
My relationship with my mother, Jodi Lynn Borchert, started the day that I was born, February 25,
1995, and it continues to this day even though she lives in Idaho and I live in Colorado. She is a
part of my family which is defined on p. 328 in our books as a "network of people who share their
lives over long periods of time and are bound by marriage, blood, or commitment". Jodi is my
biological mother and this makes us family through blood. To be more specific about my mother is
that she is a part of my Nuclear family (p.329), a family consisting of a wife (my mother), husband
(my father), and their biological child (me). All my life my mother has always called me Konis.
As stated in our textbook on p. 193, words and phrases that have unique meanings to a particular
relationship, such as pet names or private phrases with special meaning are called personal
idioms. Every time my mom calls me Konis, my mom is using a personal idiom because only the
two of us know the personal meaning behind the nick name that she calls me. Even though we
don't know where she came up with the nick name. Since we both live a couple of states away
from each other we both must have regular relationship maintenance (p. 304), meaning that we both
make communication and supportive behaviors to sustain a desired relationship. I do this by
making time once a week to call her just to talk about what's going on in her life. She also does this
by talking to me one a week but also finding time to

what she learned through her life. She also learned to accept her mother. However in the story
she does not talk about this at all. She did not feel to accept or love her mother in the story. Next,
in the video Maya talks about why her mother abandoned her and that she was loving. In the
memoir her mother seemed very rude and awkward when she was talking to Maya. Maya gives her
reasons that Vivian was not ready to be a parent and that she loved her in the video. Those are some
differences between "Learning to Love my Mother" and "From Mom me and Mom". There are
similarities and differences in the two stories. Both however give different information that are not
in one another. Also, they do give some same information about Maya Angelou's life. Maya was
able to accept her mother and love her. The main lesson she learned was that love heals and her
mother's love healed her. I also get angry at my mom sometimes but in the end I love her and she
loves me as

The Relationship I Have With My Mother Essay
The relationship I have with my mother is complicated. During the first five years of my life, my
grandparents were the ones who raised my brother and I. I vividly remember the day when my
mother left to come to the United States. I constantly cried and chased after her, but she did not look
back at me nor explained the situation. Most likely, she must have thought that I was too young to
understand what was going on. Instead, with that memory, she left me scarred. Since then, I began
to develop a resentment towards her. A month before my sixth birthday, my father came to the
Philippines to bring my brother and I to the United States. I felt neutral about the situation. And
since I have not seen my mother in so long, my grudge died down. It felt as though I was going to
meet a stranger.
In my family, I am the middle child. My parents treat my siblings and I differently, which is more
noticeable from my mom. However, both of my parents seem to favor my siblings over me. My
dad prefers my younger sister, while my mom favors my older brother. Growing up, it is very
evident that favoritism occurs within this household. I am often considered as the problematic
child. I believe that the reason for so is because my parents did not give me as much attention
compared to my siblings, so they do not understand how I feel. I also grew up in a family where
disclosing how I feel is difficult to do without coming across as disrespectful towards my parents.
This conflict of favoritism and

Love My Mother Essay

  • 1. A Mother's Love In My Aged Mother By Matsuo Basho A mothers love I analyzed, My Aged Mother by Matsuo Basho. The emperor issues a cruel order to have all the old folks abandoned and left to die. They have no use to the community at an old age. A poor farmer lived with his aged mother down the hill. During work he received the news of the order and dreaded having to go home. As he returns from work he packs his mother's supper, lifted her onto his back and started walking towards the Obatsayuma, the mountain of the "abandoning of aged". The mother was anxious as they drifted path to path going deeper and deeper into the woods. She began to break branches off trees to leave a path, so her son could find his way back home. As he put her down onto the pile of leaves, she told him to follow the path of twigs. He looked back down the path and looked at his hopeless mother and lifted her back onto his back. He couldn't believe the kind act from his mother, so he took her back home. When he arrived, he told the emperor his story and the emperor listened to his story and abolished the cruel order. There are three characters. The emperor is a cruel absolute leader, a warrior who declared the decree to have the old folk abandoned and left to die. He feels that the older folk do not contribute, are not strong, and they have no use to the community. He is a role model to the kingdom, he motivates the people to see the strongest ability within themselves. The emperor realized the act of the poor farmer's mother showed him that the Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 2. Mother And Daughter Relationships Reflecting back over the course of the pass four years, I have dealt with various situations that remain difficult to explain. In my life I have dealt with love, loss, and betrayal of the one person, I trusted the most in my life my mother. A mother and daughters love is a special bond that spans throughout the years; therefore, through laughter, worry, smiles, and tears. There is a sense of trust cannot be broken; a depth of love that is unspoken which turns into a lifelong friendship built on trust, sharing, hugs, kisses, warmth, and caring. A mother daughter love is two hearts that come together as one. A love so unconditional that could never be broken. Nevertheless, this should be true, describing the love between a mother and daughter. What has happened in my past would make you rethink a mother's love for her daughter. A person you thought would jump in front of a bullet for you and never lie to you or steal to gain for her own benefit. A person that only thought about herself and not her own children, which is a tragic story, based on the betrayal from your own mother. She has also destroyed a twenty–five year marriage over another man who probably does not exist in my view. When I was in my junior year of high school, my mother decided to go to college to receive a Medical Assistant degree. It was a delightful time for my brother and me, to have a better chance paying for college. My brother and I never expected what the outcome of my mother Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 3. My Mom Taught Me Looking back through my life, i have realized my mother has taught me the most. The one who means the most to me, the one person that has been the absolute best she can be for me and our family, always. The strongest most wise human being i know has been in my life since day one, which i am forever grateful for. "The happiest people don't have the best of everything, they just make the best of everything." This quote is something my mom has always lived by and taught her kids at a young age. We weren't rich, didn't have everything we needed at times but we always had our family and love that went all around, which was enough for us. My mom is honestly my rock, she has been there for me through everything. Throughout life we have definitely had our differences, mostly it's me, the teenager wanting to do something stupid and my mom trying to show me why i shouldn't make these careless decisions. As a teenager you might think you are grown and know everything that's why the parents are there to knock some sense into our brains, they have been through the same exact stuff, they can shed some light on the situation. Parents try to teach their kids to learn from their mistakes but, everyone has to learn from their own mistakes. So the parents can only do their best at teaching their children morals. My mother has taught me everything i know, starting off with being grateful everyday, living in the moment every single day, to seize the day. My mom has taught me right from Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 4. Love My Mother We try to compare our parents to other parents, our friends always tell us 'hey your mom and dad were super cool' but we think to ourselves, are my parents that cool. I think the world revolves on how strict or soft our parents can be. We all have our experiences with our parents growing up to now that we're in college, we look back and we ask ourselves was my mom or dad strict with me or soft, which leads me to telling you this story were i will be explaining how my mother was soft compared to Sophia's mother from tiger mom. In this story short "why i love my strict chinese mom" by Sophia–Chua–Rubenfield, she talks about how her mother was so strict with her. Sophia was 18 years old at this time, so at the beginning of the story Sophia starts telling us how she had such a hard mother know everybody criticized her. My mother raised me like every other parent excluding her rules, in the story Tiger mom Sophia explains how critically involved her mom was in school with her, She explains to us how strict and uptight she was with her during her period of growing up. I feel like my mom was very lenient more say soft as I grew up, she had her boundaries she had her walls and she only told me once the things I had to do, things are very set out and forward between me and my mother there is no hiding anything no lies. So I felt like I had her trust there is no curfew there is never a talk about hey don't do this don't do that don't hang out with these people, I feel like she never Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 5. Motherly Love Essay Motherly Love In the three stories we read by Flannery O'Connor; "The Comforts of Home", "Everything That Rises Must Converge", and "The Enduring Chill", the major relationship portrayed was between mothers and their hypersensitive sons. While all of the major characters, the sons, were noticeably similar, the lesser characters of the mothers were also very alike in many ways. Many of their views, gestures and outward qualities paralleled throughout the stories. After rereading all of the stories again I came to the realization that the mothers O'Connor wrote in her stories were variations of the same person. One of the qualities that jump out first is that all three mothers are...show more content... The boys feel that either their mother did not do a good enough job raising them or that she has disrupted the proper pace of their lives. This is apparent in all the boys but especially confusing in the case of Julian. At the beginning of the story he says "he could have stood his lot better if she [his mother] had been an old hag who drank and screamed at him" (5) yet later talks about how "there was no reason for her to think she could always depend on him" (14). While he feels that she raised him well, he does not want her to feel that he will be there for her like she seems to have been there for him. Asbury makes it very clear that he feels his mother was the unnerving force that lead to the demise of his life. Upon his death, he wanted his mother to read a letter her wrote to her about "what she had done to him" (91) but thought, "that his mother would not understand the letter at once... he thought she would be able to see that he forgave her for all that she had done to him" (91). This statement, like Julian's is not truly supported in any way. It appears in both stories that the boys mothers did everything they possible could to give their children the best of life. Thomas, on the other hand, does not feel quite as much observable loathing to his mother and says that he "loved his mother. He loved her because it was his nature to do so, but there were times when he could not endure her love for him" (118). Unlike the other Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 6. My Mother Essay What can one say about their mother? One may talk about her positive and negative characteristics. There are so many great traits I love and admire about my mom, that it would be difficult and unfair to write about just one. Being strong, generous and optimistic are all some great personality traits, which my mother possesses. Ever since I can remember, my mother has been a strong individual. She raised my brother and I financially, emotionally, physically and spiritually by herself. My mom gave her all, by that I mean, she worked two jobs to make sure her children ate properly and that they had the essential amenities to grow happily and successfully. Another way she supported us was with love and care. My mom...show more content... My mother My mother has always had strong faith and views in her religion. When I was younger, every day and night, she would bring prayer time to me and my brother's attention. My mom instilled As a child, my mother displayed the seriousness of spirituality. In which she expressed her faith in us at an early age, that prayer time was not the time to make jokes nor to complain about having to partake in it. One lesson she taught us the most, was how seriousness about our spiritual beliefs could provide us with a substantial, stable and structural lifestyle. My mother's heart is at its purest when giving. I witnessed my mother chip in and pay for people's rent, car notes, and buying them groceries. Although my mother's intentions were good, occasionally, her generosity has been taken advantage of. One time a close friend of the family, came to my mother in desperate need. He asked her to loan him a large amount of money, with the agreement that he would pay back in either monthly or weekly installments. My mom never did see the money that was due to her. Despite the incident she still gives and encourages others to give, whether is it a donation, or volunteering your time in your community. My Get more content on HelpWriting.net

At age fifteen I say, "You're so annoying– I can't wait to move out!" At age eighteen, I'll be saying "I miss home." At age twenty–seven I'll be saying "I miss my mom." At age forty I'll be saying "I miss you so much; I wish you didn't have to go." My mom is the sun to my shine. My mother is a hard worker. She loves what she does for a living. She does arrangements for peoples' houses. I've seen her work from 7 a.m. to midnight at times. The hard work pays off but most of her earnings go to bills or groceries. Family is an important thing to my mother. She loves to spend as much time as she can with them. She believes in the Hawaiian saying, "Ohanna: Nobody gets left behind." This past summer we went on a cruise ship. The whole side of my mom's family had gone. I enjoyed my time there, especially when we arrived in Cozumel, MX. One of the most embarrassing things that could happen to me frightened my mom to death. Purging is said to make you lose weight. The banging on the restroom door startled me knowing I would be caught. From that point on she took extra care of my health. Looking after what I ate, when I should exercise etc. When I was fourteen, my parents and I made a deal that if I lost twenty pounds, I would be able to get my first tattoo. She supported me with it, thus, me losing the weight. Not everyone grows up with manners. I have a high tolerance for respect. Growing up going to church every Sunday due to my mom helped me adapt to maturity. Not that I'm highly bipolar, but I do lose my temper really drastically. I've been taught by my mom to forgive and forget. Through the worst of her times that people have put her through; she forgives. She tells me I have the blood of my dad seeing as how I will always hold a grudge towards someone no matter what. I know my mom wants the best for her kids, Get more content on HelpWriting.net

She's been a wealth of advice to call on when I'm clueless and a shoulder to cry on when I'm down. Her compassion for others inspires me to be a better person as does the guidance she has given me over the years. She's not afraid to give me a reality check and to tell me the things I don't want to hear even though I need to. She keeps me grounded and teaches me to appreciate the smaller things in life. My mom also does not go soft on her kids; she can be a formidable disciplinarian when she wants to and will not hesitate to set us straight when we broke the rules. She won't let anybody walk over her and is really quick to anger if you try. My mother is strong–willed and stubborn; when she sets her mind to something almost nothing will stop her and what an impossible feat it is to change her mind on something. She is very impatient; when she wants something done she wants it done at this very moment, no later. She is idealistic and she enjoys the simpler things that life has to offer. She loves nature and would love nothing more than to be living in a cabin in the mountains while listening to country music. She does not pay much attention to news happening outside her local area and prefers to focus on what's happening in her immediate area. From my mother I have learned how to be the person that I am today. Through her I have learned the importance of family and that it is paramount to spend time with them while I still have it. Even now I try to spend time with my family when I have the opportunity to. Form her I have learned compassion for those around me and for animals. Even Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 9. Narrative Essay On Mothers Love A Mother's Love My mom has had the greatest impact on my life. She has always taught me to always try my hardest and to treat everyone equally and with respect. My mom's heart and determination is what I hope to have one day. She always puts anyone before herself. She is the kindness, most generous woman I have ever met. I can only hope to become like my mom one day. My mom impact my life because of all the different experiences we have experienced together. After that, my mom started telling us that my great–grandmother just recently passed away. I didn't really know my great–grandmother, but when my mom told me the horrible news, my heart broke into a thousand pieces because I knew how much my mom loved her grandmother. Later that week, we traveled to Great Bend for her funeral. It was a very depressing day and all you could see were people weeping, but you could tell they were trying to put a brave face on. My mom tried her hardest to keep her tears in, but she couldn't, it was just too hard for her. I hugged my mom and told her that everything was going to be alright and that I love her so much. My mom has her down moments, but she also has those exciting, fun moments. The week before summer vacation in sixth grade, my mom and I decided to go to Elitch Gardens in Denver, Colorado. The road trip was super fun, but there was quite a lot of traffic that day. Once we arrived, we bought our tickets and went through security. The metal detector went off on my mom because she forgot to put her phone in the box. Elitch Gardens was very crowded that day. We couldn't get anywhere without bumping into all the sweaty people. The lines were super long and all these little kids were fussing about waiting in line. We decided to get on the tallest wooden roller coaster there, Get more content on HelpWriting.net

I am protective of my sisters, my nieces, my brother, and my mom. I would do what ever I could for my family. I love my family with all my heart. Cause if anything happens to any of my family I will hunt after anyone who hurts them. I will do anything to keep them safe. Even if they get a scratch on them I would ask my sister what happen to my nieces. So if I don't get an answer I will tell my sister to do something. I love them so much so I try to call every night once in a while when I feel sad. But when I call to talk to them I don't even get answer. So I call and call over and over again until they answer. I would do any thing to be able to see my nieces. I love them so much I would do anything to see them. I love them all very much. I hate to see them in pain. I would do anything to see them. I love them a lot with all my heart. What I like to do in my free time is play with my cats, play with my guinea pig, do slime with my sister, watch television, play my tablet, play my phone, play with my mini computer. • 11. My Love My Mother Now I wasn't some kind of sociopath as a child (for the most part), I have always loved my mom. But when you're a child you love people very shallowly, it's just a thing you say before bed or when you hug a family member. It doesn't usually go deeper than that for a child. Love though is more than a word its an action that requires selflessness, understanding, and sacrifice. And at age 14 I was going to learn step by step how to truly love someone. To understand this story we have to go a little further back Into my past. See my mom as Hypoparathyroidism (fifty cent word I know). It means that her hormones are out of control, leaving her constantly tired and in pain. She's been sick my whole life and has required multiple surgeries. Sometimes it was hard and my sisters and I had to miss out on some thing's (though not many because my mom was amazing). For awhile everything was fine, then my dad got diagnosed with a rare form of bone cancer. He was given only a few months to live, but he fought hard for nearly two years before he died on August 2nd, 2012. Two long years of worry, strife, of doctors visits, of a never ending stream of visitors, and two years of people rallying around us and showing us love. At the end of it all I was left without my dad (my best friend) and what at the time felt like the broken pieces of a family, barely being held together at the seams. I was a very bitter tween moody, sarcastic, and tired of my family. Now looking back at 18 I can see Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 12. I Care For My Mother 1.I care for my dear mother, art, and education. I care for my mom because she is the woman that gave me life and raised me to become the person who I am today. I have learned how to treat other people better through watching her, and she has shown me what it means to be honest and trustworthy. She has forced me to take challenges like applying to colleges outside of Texas even though I had never been anywhere else than Texas, Oklahoma, and Mexico. She has supported me in my goals to receive a college degree to someday help underprivileged family in poor communities and poor countries. Second, I care for my education. Every day I help my family, and I have realized that I would like to expand my assistance and help others. As I mentioned, I want to be a college graduate and be certified in a field that will allow me to assist people, such as children. I am not sure what I want to do with the rest of my life, but I know that I want to help people. I want to be able to use the skills and knowledge I learn in college for the betterment of others and myself. College is the vehicle for this because I believe the only way for me to flourish mentally and financially is growing in my education. Education is already my passion, and college will suffice my hunger for knowledge. Third, I care for art. Beyond honing my skills in traditional subjects, I have become deeply invested in developing as an artist. At first, art in my eyes was just something that I was good at creating. • 13. Love Of A Mother Essay A LOVE OF A MOTHER Mother is the woman who gave birth to you. Mother is the one who knows all about you and Mother is the one who sacrifice all for you. So all mother in the world should be respected because we all know that they deserve it and always remember that we are here because of them. Love, respect and care your mother as you can, Because if you love someone you feel that they are very important to you and if you respect you have a good opinion of them, and lastly if you care you feel that it is important and are concerned about it. She is the first person to sacrifice her life by giving birth to all of us children. She taught us how to walk, talk and smile. Our first mentor and teacher in helping us determine what is right and wrong. That is how our mothers are! Some moms, especially in our new generation evolve as the sole providers of the family. Many are saying that mothers are the emotional backbones of the family. If problems occur they are the strongest person to hold back and we can...show more content... She is her children's best friend. A mother is someone who loves you unconditionally and more than life itself. Mothers are angels in disguise sent from God to watch and help us through our troublesome times. We hardly stop to think of how they feel and if they need help, we abuse them in a sense by not appreciating them enough. The definition for love is a great liking or affection. But love is something stronger. Love doesn't give up, doesn't have a swelled head and doesn't force itself on others. Love isn't jealous, is always forgiving and without love, we are nothing. A mother's love is a bond that connects us together, even before birth. It is stronger than any feeling of hate or fury. Love takes on everything, even if it can't carry it all. Mothers may seem just like ordinary people, but they are really super heroes in disguise! They show their love in a million different ways every Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 14. I Admire My Mother Essay When you look at my family right now, you can see that everyone is separated from each other. My mom and sister live in the states, my other sister lives in the Philippines, and I live here on Saipan with my father. My mother is the kind of person that can voice her opinions, one that can speak to people, and someone who can find a way through any situation. These are some of the reasons I admire my mother deeply. When you look at my mother, she is a lady of Asian descent who seemingly has a quiet and menacing aura. One thing I admire about my mom is the fact that she can speak her mind out, whether it was hurtful to one or not. I recall a time when we were at a big mall with a seemingly endless vast of clothing, which seemed to be Macy's clothing shop if I recall correctly. We then entered the faded sliding door in which the intoxicating smell of sweet perfume assaulted my nostrils; the smell was extremely thick it seemed as if you could see the waft of perfume. This scent caused my mother to say "The smell here is horrid", and the staff working there looked at my mother wondering "who was this lady who just insulted the...show more content... During those adventurous trips I seem to notice that people often spoke to her. In just about anywhere, whether it may be a shop or a hospital, my mother seemed to run into people that knew her, including the dock with the big huge ships; someone seemed to have known my mother. I remember going to Managaha and my mom just stepped into a boat and asked a man to take us to Managaha, and he did. Apparently my mom was his first aid instructor, so he gave us a free ride there and back. I saw the glittering ocean and I smelled the fresh salty breeze, it was almost as if you could taste the air of salt. The ocean was a magical place, after we stayed at Managaha for a bit we returned home. My mother's affable personality was one of her charming marks that attracted people to Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 15. Personal Narrative : I Love My Mother I love my mom. I wouldn't replace her for anything, but my mom and I don't always get along. We fight, we have our difference but we are both for sure are stubborn like a mule. She doesn't like it when I don't obey or listen to her and I don't like to listen or obey her. We both don't like to admit wrong either. We have many fights but this is one of the fights that is most memorable to me. (well that cuz it was the most recent one) It was on a Tuesday night, I finished showering and I got dressed and came to the bathroom. I didn't dry my hair because I always believed my hair can be air dry and blow drying will damage my hair. My mom then said," Jiamei, go dry your hair." I ignored. She said it again but this time a little louder. I replied back " I don't want to and I don't need to. It is fine, I always air dry it." This time she yelled," JIAMEI GO DRY YOUR HAIR!!!!!!ВЁ ВЁNO, I don't want to and I don't need to" stubborn I replied. My mom came in my room angry and pissed. She starts getting violent and pushed everything off my desk and start pulling the plugs off from my computer and threw my phone across the room. There's me running to her and trying to hold her back. I started to yell,ВЁ Why are you getting so angry just because I didn't want to blow dry my hair?ВЁ Which triggered my mom get even more heated. "It is not that you don't blow dry your hair made me mad is because you don't ever listen to me!ВЁ she yelled. The stubborn me who still don't think I am wrong yet Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 16. My Mother's Selfless Love Mothers are our life philosophers with selfless love. Mothers make us, kids, become especially thoughtful about the nature of life. Among all the lovely things in the nature, mothers are the most rare and precious, as we only have one mother in the whole world. Like Henry Ward Beecher, the 19th century American Congregationalist Clergyman, once said that, "The mothers' heart is the child's schoolroom." We are influenced by our mothers throughout our life; so am I. I might forget the words that my mother say to me, but I still remember the feeling that she gave me. It's just like I don't remember lyric, but I still remember the tune of the song. She is my greatest source of education and I have fallen in love with her since the first second I opened my eyes. My mother is a mother and her heart also happens to be my schoolroom. A young girl who got married at the age of 17 to a guy that she had never known before. She is helping her parents running their restaurant business which is welly known in the 1990s. Later on, her parents passed away after her first kid born. She had faced many financial problems after her parents' funeral. Her two siblings are not capable of helping the family, but only asking her for money while she was struggling to pay her parents' debts. People changed, she thought at that time, "Why do her relatives suddenly want the money back that fast before the contract? Are they afraid that I can't pay off the debt?" She tried her best to pay those people Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 17. My Mother Essay My mother has had the greatest influence on me. Growing Up she has taught me many things. She has helped me many times and still does. I have learned many lessons with her helping me. Responsibility is one of the very important things she has taught me. How to be a good person around others that are not. My mother has been and still is the only parent I see every day. While being with her I have learned many things. She has taught me to be responsible for my things like my clothing and art supplies, around people, and my siblings. At home I have to finish my chores sweeping, mopping, washing laundry, cleaning of the tables and the counter top, and sometimes clean the yard. Most of the time I have to help my sisters with their laundry or sweeping, and sometimes cook for my family when my mother and grandmother are not home. When I have too much work at home and schoolwork my mother would help me finish my chores and we will be free for the rest of the day and when that happens we all spend time as a family and go eat or watch a movie. I have learned lessons while living with my mother and a big family. A lesson I have learned was never add too much salt in my rice and soup. Do not add a bunch of soap into the washer machine or I will have to clean it up myself and to sew but do not push a needle up between two cloths while your thumb is in the way. Mother was busy helping my sisters with their laundry and the food was not prepared. I had nothing to do so she called my name Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 18. My Relationship With My Mother Essay My relationship with my mother, Jodi Lynn Borchert, started the day that I was born, February 25, 1995, and it continues to this day even though she lives in Idaho and I live in Colorado. She is a part of my family which is defined on p. 328 in our books as a "network of people who share their lives over long periods of time and are bound by marriage, blood, or commitment". Jodi is my biological mother and this makes us family through blood. To be more specific about my mother is that she is a part of my Nuclear family (p.329), a family consisting of a wife (my mother), husband (my father), and their biological child (me). All my life my mother has always called me Konis. As stated in our textbook on p. 193, words and phrases that have unique meanings to a particular relationship, such as pet names or private phrases with special meaning are called personal idioms. Every time my mom calls me Konis, my mom is using a personal idiom because only the two of us know the personal meaning behind the nick name that she calls me. Even though we don't know where she came up with the nick name. Since we both live a couple of states away from each other we both must have regular relationship maintenance (p. 304), meaning that we both make communication and supportive behaviors to sustain a desired relationship. I do this by making time once a week to call her just to talk about what's going on in her life. She also does this by talking to me one a week but also finding time to Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 19. From Mom Me And Mom By Maya Angelou Essay Maya Angelou was abandoned by her mother and then sent to live with her grandmother with her brother when she was 3. 10 years later she came back to live with her mother Maya thought her mother looked weired because of how pretty she looked, she thought there was no way she could be her mother. Maya Angelou shows the story of her life by writing a story "From Mom Me and Mom" and in an interview called "Learning to love my mother". In both stories she talks about her life but there are some differences between the interview and the memoir . Also in both stories there are similarities that occur as well. First, in the scene from the video Maya talks about when she went to go visit her mother when she was 7 which was a disastrous visit. This was not talked about in the memoir. Another huge difference is that toward the end of the video Maya explains her feelings toward her mother and what she learned through her life. She also learned to accept her mother. However in the story she does not talk about this at all. She did not feel to accept or love her mother in the story. Next, in the video Maya talks about why her mother abandoned her and that she was loving. In the memoir her mother seemed very rude and awkward when she was talking to Maya. Maya gives her reasons that Vivian was not ready to be a parent and that she loved her in the video. Those are some differences between "Learning to Love my Mother" and "From Mom me and Mom". There are similarities and differences in the two stories. Both however give different information that are not in one another. Also, they do give some same information about Maya Angelou's life. Maya was able to accept her mother and love her. The main lesson she learned was that love heals and her mother's love healed her. I also get angry at my mom sometimes but in the end I love her and she loves me as Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 20. The Relationship I Have With My Mother Essay The relationship I have with my mother is complicated. During the first five years of my life, my grandparents were the ones who raised my brother and I. I vividly remember the day when my mother left to come to the United States. I constantly cried and chased after her, but she did not look back at me nor explained the situation. Most likely, she must have thought that I was too young to understand what was going on. Instead, with that memory, she left me scarred. Since then, I began to develop a resentment towards her. A month before my sixth birthday, my father came to the Philippines to bring my brother and I to the United States. I felt neutral about the situation. And since I have not seen my mother in so long, my grudge died down. It felt as though I was going to meet a stranger. In my family, I am the middle child. My parents treat my siblings and I differently, which is more noticeable from my mom. However, both of my parents seem to favor my siblings over me. My dad prefers my younger sister, while my mom favors my older brother. Growing up, it is very evident that favoritism occurs within this household. I am often considered as the problematic child. I believe that the reason for so is because my parents did not give me as much attention compared to my siblings, so they do not understand how I feel. I also grew up in a family where disclosing how I feel is difficult to do without coming across as disrespectful towards my parents. This conflict of favoritism and Get more content on HelpWriting.net
