Oulad berhil belongs to Almnabha tribe, one of the tribes that are located in the southern
foothills of the High Atlas and exactly northeast of Taroudannt. Almnabhha is originally the
center of the tribes of Amazigh old tribes of Msamudah and Sanhaja. Almnabha after it was
invaded by Ouled Driss tribes they spread the Arabic language and have been affected by their
culture.
The naming the city of Oulad Berhil is due to a person named "Borhil" this title is for
frequent travels and lack of stability in a particular place, and descended from the honorable
blessed children of "Mr. Abdullah Alaquaoui" was inhabited by the children of Borios tribe
"Children of Yahya" and then moved to the upper "Almnabha" and settled with his descendants
and his sons in this region.
Oulad Berhil is at the foot of the mountains of the High Atlas and in the high-Souss River not
far from the Anti-Atlas. It is dominated by the character of extraversion and includes sandy soils

The secondary Moulay Youssef is the school where I study today. It
is in the northeast of the city and on the road to Marrakech. Moulay
Youssef is the second secondary school in the city after Dakhla high
school. Our school is smaller as the latter contains a middle school.
Moulay Yusuf contains only high school due to the narrow area and
its size of students. It has 10 classrooms that can carry 40 students
each. It is made up of almost 19 teachers. In addition to the library
and athletic fields (basketball, football, handball, volleyball ...), the
clothes changing rooms for both boys and girls and a prayer room.
Secondary Moulay youssef was established nearly 14 years ago and
dubbed Moulay Youssef name relative to the Sultan Moulay Youssef,
who was appointed sultan of Morocco, to be the Sultan No. 20 of
Alawites, after Sultan Moulay Abdelhafid waived the throne
immediately after the signing of the Treaty of Protection 1912.
Our school organizes cultural institution contests and sport
activities organized by secondary school teachers throughout the
school year, receiving awards in various local and regional
competitions.

My favourite sport
The sport of
basketball is known as
a fun past time for any
person young or old.
Basketball is a great
way of exercise and a
great way to have fun
with friends and
possibly make some
new ones. I love to
watch and play the
game; basketball is a
very entertaining
sport and can be
played by anyone.
Basketball has many
negative and positive things about it based on my opinion. Basketball is known as a
good pastime in many people’s eyes but can also be seen as a passion for many others.
Basketball in my opinion is the best thing I can do with my friends to have fun while
burning a few calories. I see basketball as a fun and easy way to have fun rather than
sitting on the couch all day playing video games or watching television. One reason I
love basketball is because you need only yourself to play the game or, you can play
with teammates. I prefer to have others to play with rather than just playing alone. To
me there is not only one word that I can describe basketball. You meet tons of people
and you are able to play with your friends for hours without getting one thought of
boredom. One thing I love about basketball is that people have many different styles of
play. There are styles such as a passer, playmaker, shooter, defensive player, and
dunker or highflyer. When you play basketball you feel much more confident and make
you not care much about how others think about you. When I possess the ball in
basketball I have the mentality of being the best and no one could stop me. Many
people have creative ideas and find new ways to trick the opposing players. Playing
Basketball is very entertaining since
there are endless ideas you can think of
just with a hoop and a basketball. There
are many reasons why I love to play the
game of Basketball but I also love to
watch the game also.
Basketball to me is overall the best
sport out of all of the other sports such
as baseball, soccer, and football. I also
believe out of all these sports basketball
is the best sport to watch on television.
Basketball is very fun to watch on television because when you watch it you can take
the moves you see the professional’s perform and add them to your style of play. I take
many of my moves from professional basketball players and make them my own
because they expand my arsenal of tricks. There are a variety of tricks the players
perform during games it makes the games much more enjoyable to be watching.

A short story
Funny Childhood Memory
One springtime Friday, I sat on our front step with my brother and the neighborhood boys, trying to
think of a new adventure to spice up the weekend. Turns out, it found us, as that nasty little Andy
Heffner pedaled up on a brand-new Schwinn his father had just bought him. He bragged and preened,
sneering down at our well-used banana-seat bikes with the high-rise handlebars. But what Andy didn’t
know was we’d just finished a new bike we’d been working on since getting an idea from the movie Easy
Rider. It had long front forks and a tiny front wheel, and we hoped it would fly. The boys and I sat,
hard-faced and quiet, while Andy went on and on. We waited, hoping for those inevitable words of all
braggarts: “Why, I bet …” We didn’t have to wait long. Andy challenged us to a race, clucking at us like a
chicken, and my brother Pete shot right back, “Bring it on!” Saturday morning you’d have thought the
County Fair was opening, the way kids from all over crowded in to see the race. We laid out the course,
four miles in all, posting kids along the way. We didn’t want any cheating. As high noon ticked close
and the racers stood ready, Andy’s brother piped up, “I bet a week’s worth of soda pop my brother
wins!” I didn’t pause a moment. “I’ll take that bet!” Pete looked at me, his eyes saying, “Are you nuts?”
Then the starting whistle blew and the dust flew. Sure enough, at the first turn, Andy tried to cheat by
cutting through the woods. But our good buddy Steve was watching from a tree branch with his
slingshot handy, and when that rotten apple hit Andy in the back of the head, the cheater returned to
the course with a dazed look. Pete yelled, “Good shooting!” and waved as he sped down the path. With
only 100 yards to the finish, Andy closed the gap and the racers were almost neck and neck. Kids lining
the roadside yelled and hollered. Their cheers might’ve been just the right fuel, because our handsome
homemade bike reached out and raced across the finish line several lengths ahead of Andy and his
shiny Schwinn. The braggart coasted in and flashed us a dirty look. I smiled and met his lack of
sportsmanship with a reminder, “Don’t forget that soda pop.” Later that night, we sat on the porch,
watching fireflies, drinking our cold pop and grinning with contentment. Sure, Andy had a fancy new
bike, but that day we’d earned something better. Jan Hipple By: Youssef Nidmansour

Mohammed VI was the second child and oldest son of Hassan II. On the day of his birth, Mohammed
was appointed Heir Apparent and Crown Prince. His father was keen on giving him a religious and
political education from an early age— at the age of four, he started attending the Qur'anic school at
the Royal Palace.
Mohammed VI completed his primary and
secondary studies at Royal College and attained his
Baccalaureate in 1981, before gaining a bachelor's degree
in law at the Mohammed V University at Agdal in 1985.
His research paper dealt with "the Arab-African Union
and the Strategy of the Kingdom of Morocco in matters
of International Relations". He has also frequented the
Imperial College and University of Rabat. He was
furthermore appointed President of the Arab Games, and
was commissioned a Colonel Major of the Royal
Moroccan Army on 26 November 1985. He served as the
Coordinator of the Offices and Services of the Royal
Armed Forces until 1994.
In 1987, Mohammed VI obtained his first
Certificat d'Études Supérieures (CES) in political
sciences, and in July 1988 he obtained a Diplôme
d'Études Approfondies (DEA) in public law. In November 1988, he trained in Brussels with Jacques
Delors, then-President of the European Commission.
Mohammed VI obtained his PhD in law with distinction on 29 October 1993 from the French
University of Nice Sophia Antipolis for his thesis on "EEC-Maghreb Relations".On 12 July 1994, he
was promoted to the military rank of Major General, and that same year he became President of the
High Council of Culture and Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Moroccan Army.
He speaks Arabic, English, Spanish and French
Mohammed VI also created the so-called Instance Equité et Réconciliation (IER), which was
tasked with researching human rights violations. This move was welcomed by many as promoting
democracy.
In a speech delivered on 9 March 2011, the King said that parliament would receive "new powers that
enable it to discharge its representative, legislative, and regulatory mission". In addition, the powers of the
judiciary were granted greater independence. The king announced that he was impaneling a committee
of legal scholars to produce a draft constitution by June 2011. On 1 July, voters approved a set of political
reforms proposed by Mohammed VI.

Leonardo was born on April 15, 1452, "at the third hour of the night" in the Tuscan hill town of Vinci,
in the lower valley of the Arno River in the territory of Florence. He was the son of Messer Piero Fruosino di
Antonio da Vinci, a Florentine notary, and Caterina, a peasant who may have been a slave from the Middle
East. Leonardo had no surname in the modern sense, "da Vinci" simply meaning "of Vinci": his full birth
name was "Leonardo di ser Piero da Vinci", meaning "Leonardo, son of (Mes)ser Piero from Vinci."
Little is known about Leonardo's early life. He spent his first five years in the hamlet of Anchiano, then
lived in the household of his father, grandparents and uncle, Francesco, in the small town of Vinci. His father
had married a sixteen-year-old girl named Albiera, who loved Leonardo but died young. In later life,
Leonardo only recorded two childhood incidents. One, which he regarded as an omen, was when a kite
dropped from the sky and hovered over his cradle, its tail feathers brushing his face. The second occurred
while exploring in the mountains. He discovered a cave and was both terrified that some great monster
might lurk there, and driven by curiosity to find out what was inside.
Leonardo's early life has been the subject of historical conjecture.
Vasari, the 16th century biographer of Renaissance painters tells of how a
local peasant requested that Ser Piero ask his talented son to paint a
picture on a round plaque. Leonardo responded with a painting of snakes
spitting fire which was so terrifying that Ser Piero sold it to a Florentine
art dealer, who sold it to the Duke of Milan. Meanwhile, having made a
profit, Ser Piero bought a plaque decorated with a heart pierced by an
arrow, which he gave to the peasant.
Mona Lisa
The Mona Lisa is a famous 16th-century portrait by
Leonardo da Vinci. The Mona Lisa's mysterious smile has
beguiled generations of viewers, but the true identity of the woman pictured in the portrait
remains unknown, despite intensive research by art historians. Many believe the Mona Lisa to
be a portrait of Lisa Gherardini Giocondo, the wife of a wealthy merchant, Francesco del
Giocondo. (That's why the Mona Lisa is known in Italy as La Gioconda.)

Dropping out from school
A dropout recovery initiative is any community, government, non-profit or business
program in which students who have previously left school are sought out for the
purpose of re-enrollment. Such initiatives are often focused on former high
school students who are still young enough to have their educations publicly
subsidized, generally those 22 years of age and younger.
Dropping out of school is an issue faced by many teenagers today. It results from
several main causes and consequence and lead to many bad.
Most of the students who leave school at an early age have poor families who are either
unemployed or employed but low income, and their parents can’t provide them with
school necessities.
Sometimes when those parents are unemployed, their children leave
school in order to earn a living, to help support the family. Other students drop out
because they are not motivated to stay at school. Or have repeated failure, or are
suspended. They think that school is a waste of time, and that is no good for the future.
It is true that, students who drop out of school face many more problems
in their leave life, than those who graduate. First of all, they depend on their parents
income, as they end in by being unemployed. As they grow in they discover that, their
choice was unsuccessful so they turn to drugs, theft and crime either as an escape or
as revenge from society which, they blame for their failure.
Some parents don’t recognize the importance of education; they should not
encourage their children to drop out of schools. Moreover, the parents and the
government should stress on the value of education.
In addition, school administrators, counselors and teachers should help them with their
personal problems, to keep them in touch with schools.

What is Pollution?
Pollution, we hear it every other day at school, college and read about it in newspapers. So what is it?
Pollution occurs when pollutants contaminate the natural surroundings; which brings about changes
that affect our normal lifestyles adversely. Pollutants are the key elements or components of pollution
which are generally waste materials of different forms. Pollution disturbs our ecosystem and the
balance in the environment. With modernization and development in our lives pollution has reached its
peak; giving rise to global warming and human illness.
Types & Causes of
Pollution
Air Pollution is the most prominent
and dangerous form of pollution. It
occurs due to many reasons. Excessive
burning of fuel which is a necessity of
our daily lives for cooking, driving
and other industrial activities; releases
a huge amount of chemical substances
in the air everyday; these pollute the air.
Water Pollution has taken toll of all the surviving species of the earth. Almost 60% of the species live
in water bodies. It occurs due to
several factors; the industrial wastes
dumped into the rivers and other water
bodies cause an imbalance in the water
leading to its severe contamination and
death of aquatic species.
Soil pollution occurs due to
incorporation of unwanted chemicals
in the soil due to human activities. Use
of insecticides and pesticides absorbs the nitrogen compounds from the soil making it unfit for plants
to derive nutrition from. Release of industrial waste, mining and deforestation also exploits the soil.
Since plants can’t grow properly, they can’t hold the soil and this leads to soil erosion.
11. 10
Noise pollution is caused when noise which is an unpleasant sound affects our ears and leads to
psychological problems like stress, hypertension, hearing impairment, etc. It is caused by machines in
industries, loud music.
Radioactive pollution is highly dangerous when it occurs. It can occur due to nuclear plant
malfunctions, improper nuclear waste disposal, accidents, etc. It causes cancer, infertility, blindness,
defects at the time of birth; can sterilise soil and affect air and water.
Thermal/heat pollution is due to the excess heat in the environment creating unwanted changes over
long time periods; due to huge number of industrial plants, deforestation and air pollution. It increases
the earth’s temperature, causing drastic climatic changes and extinction of wildlife.
Light pollution occurs due to prominent excess illumination of an area. It is largely visible in big
cities, on advertising boards and billboards, in sports or entertainment events at the night. In residential
areas the lives of the inhabitants is greatly affected by this.
Solutions for Air Pollution
1. Use public mode of transportation: Encourage people to use more and more public modes of
transportation to reduce pollution. Also, try to make use of car pooling. If you and your colleagues
come from the same locality and have same timings you can explore this option to save energy and
money.
2. Conserve energy: Switch off fans and lights when you are going out. Large amount of fossil fuels are burnt
to produce electricity. You can save the environment from degradation by reducing the amount of fossil fuels to
be burned.
3. Understand the concept of Reduce, Reuse and Recycle: Do not throw away items that are of no
use to you. In-fact reuse them for some other purpose. For e.g. you can use old jars to store cereals or
pulses.
4. Emphasis on clean energy resources: Clean energy technologies like solar, wind and
geothermal are on high these days. Governments of various countries have been providing grants to
consumers who are interested in installing solar panels for their home. This will go a long way to curb
air pollution.
5. Use energy efficient devices: CFL lights consume less electricity as against their counterparts.
They live longer, consume less electricity, lower electricity bills and also help you to reduce pollution by
consuming less energy.

Jurassic World is a film directed by Colin Trevorrow from San Fransisco. A film with
adventure and action and also thriller. I can say that this one is my favourite film in 2015
because the special thing in this movie is the creatures which are already extinct.
The actors were so great and excellent; they made the film close to reality and their
costumes were casual a little bit.
The music helps you to feel
that you are part of the film
because it was perfect, music
of adventure. It takes you to
that Jurassic park which is a
new theme park built on the
original site of Jurassic park.
Everything was going well
until the park’s newest
attraction, a modified
giant stealth, a killing machine that escaped containment and goes on a killing spree.
It is an amazing and an interesting film because I like dinosaurs so much and all the
things that are about them. By: Khadija Ben chad

{Father & Son}
It's not time to make a change
Just relax, take it easy
You're still young, that's your fault
There's so much you have to know
Find a girl, settle down
If you want you can marry
Look at me, I am old, but I'm happy
I was once like you are now
And I know that it's not easy
To be calm when you've found
Something going on
But take your time, think a lot
Think of everything you've got
For you will still be here tomorrow
But your dreams may not
How can I try to explain?
When I do he turns away again
It's always been the same, same old story
From the moment I could talk
I was ordered to listen
Now there's a way
And I know that I have to go away
I know I have to go
It's not time to make a change
Just relax, take it slowly
You're still young, that's your fault
There's so much you have to go through
Find a girl, settle down
If you want you can marry
Look at me, I am old, but I'm happy
All the times that I've cried
Keeping all the things I knew inside
It's hard, but it's harder to ignore it
If they were right I'd agree
But it's them they know, not me
Now there's a way
And I know that I have to go away
I know I have to go

A letter to a pen-pal
Oulad Berhil, Taroudannt
March 9th
Dear Laura,
Thank you for your letter and I’m so happy because you told me a lot of
information about your celebration.
In Morocco, we also celebrate a celebration like yours. It’s Ashura. It’s an
Islamic celebration. People wear traditional clothes and give money for kids.
Also, they splash each other with water and throw eggs at each other. They
also set a bonfire at night.
For the special food and drinks, we eat couscous with the sheep head or with
dry meat from Eid-Al-adha.
There are a lot of activities that we do on this celebration. I hope you get some
information about it now.
I wish you liked this letter.
Your best friend, Damia.

“People who live in glass houses shouldn’t throw stones.”
Don’t criticize others since you’re not perfect yourself.
“Hope for the best but prepare for the worst.”
Bad things might happen.
“Better late than never.”
It’s better to do something on time. But if you can’t, just doing it any time is good.
“All good things must come to an end.”
You can’t keep having good luck or fun forever; eventually, it will stop.
“Actions speak louder than words.”
Just saying you’ll do something doesn’t mean much. Actually doing it is harder and

“Good things come to those who wait.”
Be patient, eventually something good will happen.
“Two wrongs don’t make a right.”
When someone has done something bad to you, trying to get revenge will only make
things worse.

Trying to convince people with ideas and words is more effective than trying to force
people to do what you want.

“No man is an island.”
You can’t live completely independent. Everyone needs help from other people.
“The squeaky wheel gets the grease.”
You can get better service if you complain about something. If you wait patiently, no
one’s going to help you.

My Proverbs

“I think the worst time to have a heart attack is
during a game of charades. Especially if your
teammates are bad guessers.”
One day three children sat and are proud of their
parents. The first said: my dad is fast he sends
the arrow and run down, reaches the target
before the arrow. The second boy responded,
saying: Dad is faster than him; he fires the bullet
from his gun, starts to run down and reaches the
target before the bullet fired. The third boy said:
Dad’s faster than all of them, he always comes
back to the house at four, despite the fact that
his work ends up at five.
First: Do you know Why Doctors put the mask
on their faces during the surgery??
Two: so no one knows them
When the operation fails.

first and found it rotting and threw it, cut
the second then he found it musty and
threw it, quickly cut the third and eats it.
