present. It can also show characters, this is
a way of giving the audience some sense
out of the film.

part of the plot, creating suspense.

audience with the amount of action that
there is going on, which can also be a
good way of showing the genre.

The film “Halloween” (1978) uses the
colours black and orange with a carved
pumpkin and the main title. It also shows
to the audience the sinister edge of the
film.
