Building a One-Team
People – Process – Technology
● Complex, multi-supplier environment
● Atkins is the Prime to a
multidisciplinary team of experts
across four main suppliers
● Varying cultures and objectives
across each organisation
● Both Private and Public bodies
To celebrate successes of individuals
and the team with regular events
throughout the year and an annual
‘Whole Team Event’.
Strong teamwork, ‘no blame’ and
‘positive challenge’ cultures.
Transparent decision making,
collaboration and clear communication
with each other.
An interdependent programme where
workstreams are accountable but
require support from one another.
The three main components are;
signing up AOs, data transformation
and platform development build.
We operate using a flat structure to
empower and take advantage of the
diverse skills and experience of the
team.
We promote constructive change, with
team & individual accountability.
We regularly review risks, both within
workstreams and across the
programme, ensuring mitigations are in
place and actioned.
Maintaining a RACI chart and ensuring
there is clear scope of responsibilities
across all teams including supply chain.
Following the Cross Government
Service Standard.
We deliver an integrated data sharing
platform featuring a complete data
map of the MVP region’s underground
assets.

To improve the efficiency and safety of underground
works by creating a secure, auditable, trusted and
reliable platform. It will provide a consistent,
interactive digital map of buried asset data. This is
accessible when, where and how it is needed by
those planning and executing excavations on behalf
of underground asset owners. It will lead to
enhanced communication between parties and
improve data quality.
