Scene 1 (presenting)
Sam: There are millions of people worldwidewho use streaming services.
Connor: Netflix and Youtube are to name a few of the major streaming
services in today’s society.
Sam: Today we will explore the question on everyone’s mind.
Connor: Is TV dead?
Scene 2 (narration)
Connor: Youtube is one of the most popular streaming services with
billions of people each month subscribing.
Sam: Every minute more than 100 hours of video is uploaded to Youtube
through people's personalYoutube channels.
Sam: Although Youtube is the mostwatched, Netflix is a close contender to the
streaming giants. Both are very influential
Connor: Indeed, Netflix are said to havebeen one of the key instigators of the
decline in TV. 50% of the decline in TV was due to Netflix as well as 29 billion
hours werespent by people watching things on Netflix.
Scene 3 (presenting)-----
Sam: Well, time to get the people's opinion don't you think?
Connor: Definitely. Where else better to go then here, at Solihull Sixth Form
and ask the students what they think.
Scene 4 (presenting)-----
Sam: Seems like Youtube is a popular service.
Connor: Everyonewe interviewed said they would rather watch streaming
services.
2. Sam: They also commented on the fact they preferred Youtube as well.
Connor: One of the Youtubers, PewDiePie, has 49 million subscribers.
Sam: That really is an astounding figure. Could they even be considered as
celebrities nowadays?
Scene 5 (presenting)
Connor: We need an expert now, hmmmmm.
Sam: Whatabout the content creators themselves?
Connor: I know the perfect person.
Scene 7 (presenting)-----
Sam: Fascinating isn't it! This whole Youtube thing.
Connor: For sure, I mean half the young generation in England havepractically
abandoned TV.
Sam: Really? Well, let's justsee whatsome of these guys think.
Connor: We came to Solihull town centre and asked someof the younger
demographic what they think about this shifting change in viewing
experiences.
Scene 9 (narration)
Sam: Worldwide, 1 million people havechanged from TV to streaming services.
Connor: Although, there has been a slight increasein SmartTV's, streaming is
still very much in the lead with the unbelievable figures they are handing over
each year.
Scene 10 (presenting)
Sam: Well, very interesting.
Connor: Seems to be a bit of a trend going on here
Sam: It's notall doom and gloomfor TV though is it?
3. Connor: Not necessarily, there are many new TV's on the market that offer
these services.
Sam: We interviewed Media expert and teacher Nick Waring.

Sam: That wasdifferent to the creators'view
Connor: He seems to think that there are alternatives to TV, not necessarily
that it's dying out.

Sam: Nowadays thereis such an array of technology that people don't know
whereto start!
Connor: Billions of people worldwidehaveadmitted to using morethan
portable device each day.

Sam: I think maybe one more expert would do the trick, justto level out the
playing field.
Connor: We interviewed one of the managers of the technology department at
John Lewis in Solihull

Connor: Looks like we're getting de ja vu.
Sam: Well, looks like streaming services area favourableoption.
Connor: With the amount on offer, this isn't surprising in my opinion.
Sam: There are somevery strong views from some of the public as well as the
experts.
