13. Analysis - Which audience groups are
the most lucrative?
The audience that would bring most profit from
box office are those who enjoy genres such as
Action as this was the most profitable genre in
past years. The most profitable age range for the
UK would be 15 – 24 and these are majority
male. The most lucrative socio-economic group
is C1 – lower middle class.
These are due to the interests of the age group
as well as having a lot of disposable income
14. Analysis - What strategies should be
used to promote films?
Due to age of the most lucrative audience the
most successful methods of promotion would
be social media and in cinemas as these are
common interests in that audience. The most
common form of advertising in 2013 was
televisions as it can reach a wide audience.
15. Analysis - The importance of
technology now and in the future
Online viewing is becoming a popular form of
exhibition especially with teenage audience.
Pirating is making profit difficult as many can
just watch the films which causes a decline in
the overall profit of films and the industries.
More people now watch movies on the go
instead of going to the cinema by using websites
such as Showbox and Netflix.
