This document is a power point presentation on plant tissues submitted by Devi D. 4. INTRODUCTION
Different types of plant tissues are formed from

8. VASCULAR TISSUES
• The two types of complex tissues
found in plants are xylem and phloem
• Xylem tubes formed from
elongated cells
• Transports water and minerals absorbed by the roots
to the leaves
• Phloem composed of tubular inter connected cells
• Transports food synthesized in the leaves to various
parts of the plant body
