excellence. We organize and focus our entire team’s efforts to design projects that:
• are functionally based & user-driven;

• and most importantly, meet our client’s budget and schedule.
D/P/S uses a multidisciplinary approach to architecture and design. We never compromise our clients’
needs for our design aesthetic; instead, our architects, landscape architects, interior designers and

if they are built and maintained as envisioned.excellence in the entire Southwest Region.
3. LEED
Dekker/Perich/Sabatini has extensive experience in the design of LEED buildings and is committed
to incorporating appropriate sustainable strategies into our projects. Although sustainable design
has recently become a popular national trend, our firm has embraced this concept for many years
as responsible design professionals. We have realized energy efficient projects for our unique
climate by using common sense approaches to building siting, solar orientation, appropriate
fenestration, building mass, appropriate mechanical systems, and the use of building materials
readily available in our region.
Dekker/Perich/Sabatini has become increasingly involved in LEED-based projects in the past few
years. We have been a member of the U.S. Green Building Council, the organization that created
LEED, since 2001. We have designed many projects that have achieved or are pursuing LEED
certification, and several other projects that were designed to LEED standards did not pursue formal
certification. These include educational, commercial, residential, and institutional projects designed
using the LEED-NC, LEED-CS, and LEED-CI rating systems.
In addition, Dekker/Perich/Sabatini has more LEED Accredited Professionals on staff than any other
firm in New Mexico. We currently have 27 LEED Accredited Professionals. Through our internal
training program, we have trained over 100 staff members in both the fundamentals of LEED and
our own method for successfully managing LEED projects.
4. Higher Education
Dekker/Perich/Sabatini has collaborated with many prestigious higher education clients throughout
the west. We have worked with these institutions to create campus facilities that are at the leading
edge of design, incorporating the latest technologies with spaces that reflect the most current
thinking in educational pedagogies. Our process is one that brings together all stakeholders of a
facility and campus to create projects that respond to multiple layers of needs.
Our work centers on a balanced response to changing ideas in teaching with recognition of the
institution’s reputation and tradition. Our emphasis is always on how the building supports the
goals and aspirations of learning and research, but always within the context of the campus fabric.
We also recognize that campus design is as much about the spaces between buildings as the
buildings themselves, and we take special care in providing facilities that enhance and reinforce the
pattern of the campus experience.
We are involved in numerous industry-related organizations such as the Society of College and
University Planners (SCUP). We support the research activities of such organizations to stay abreast
of current and future market trends. This knowledge benefits not only our firm, but also our clients.
5. K-12 Education
Dekker/Perich/Sabatini provides specialty design services for a variety of educational facilities
projects. The firm has purposely staffed the company with professionals experienced in primary,
secondary, and post-secondary facility design throughout the Southwest. This diverse pool of talent
enables us to develop innovative design solutions that draw upon the best ideas and practices from
throughout the region. A well-designed building not only provides an aesthetically pleasing and
functional environment for its current occupants, but also provides an edge to our clients as they
reach out to additional students and recruit and retain teachers and staff.
At Dekker/Perich/Sabatini we take seriously the responsibility that the environments we create have
lasting impacts on the lives of the people who live, work, and learn in them. We believe that our
clients, the end-users of educational facilities, include the students, teachers, administrators, parents,
and community members, in addition to the facilities and procurement personnel. While it is
imperative that we meet or exceed the client’s needs and expectations for production on schedule
and within budget, it is also vital that we produce designs that are aesthetically pleasing, thought-
provoking, and functional in every way to facilitate the education process. To successfully achieve
these results, we practice a design process that is inclusive, involving design and programming
sessions with representatives of the stakeholder groups to achieve maximum synergy, collaboration,
and the best solution.
We are involved in numerous industry-related organizations such as the Council of Educational
Facilities Planners International (CEFPI). We support the research activities of such organizations to
stay abreast of current and future market trends. This knowledge benefits not only our firm, but also
our clients.

diverse pool of talent enables us to develop innovative design solutions that draw upon the best
ideas and practices from throughout the nation. A well-designed building provides an “edge” to
our clients as they respond to their competitors. This is true whether the task at hand is to reach out
to customers or to recruit and retain tenants and employees.

Dekker/Perich/Sabatini is committed to delivering quality multi-family housing to serve the Western
United States. We have a full-time dedicated and experienced staff for creating well-designed
projects and have developed the knowledge, resources and networks that allow us to deliver the
best possible product to our clients. Successful housing projects are very market driven. Rents,
vacancy rates, demand and construction costs are all interrelated. Helping our clients succeed is a
product of tailoring the project design to the match the market demand. We work closely with our
clients to quickly produce graphic packages that illustrate flexible solutions that can be easily priced
and worked into a proforma. Focusing on the amenities, construction costs, rent structure and
financing options very early in the process helps give shape to the finished product.
We have extensive experience in working with approval agencies such as the US Department of
Housing and Urban Development and the Mortgage Finance Authority for tax credit applications
for affordable housing. We have built strong relationships with contractors who specialize in
housing, as well as companies that provide bonding assistance and nonprofit agencies involved in
tax credit applications.
Housing is a project type that is very exciting to us. We understand the processes involved from
inception of an idea through completion of a project. Our knowledge of these processes offers
value to our clients.

achieving the most dynamic results we can deliver, smoothly and reliably. Our staff of Interior
Designers and Interior Architects continually keeps abreast of the latest in design and construction
in order to provide you with the highest level of expertise.
We realize, however, that a successful project requires more than experience and expertise. A
successful project is about developing trust, having passion, thinking innovatively, and being
engaged. We promise to be fully engaged in your project. We have a desire to create not only
a building that fits your needs, we want to build personal relationships. We look forward to the
opportunity to demonstrate our commitment to you.
