Challenges and Goals <ul><li>Challenges </li></ul><ul><li>Current social media presence is not engaging but provides lots of content </li></ul><ul><li>Current blog is authored by one individual </li></ul><ul><li>Goals </li></ul><ul><li>Attract new businesses to MI by pushing individual growth sectors through social marketing </li></ul><ul><li>Keep current MI businesses engaged through social media platforms </li></ul>
  3. 3. Give Businesses the Upper Hand: Engage Them!!! <ul><li>Currently the MEDC utilizes several platforms of social media networks. After some research of how each of these are used there is not much engaging but each provides lots of content. This campaign will focus on enhancing the use of those social media platforms and getting business to become more engaged and participate in the conversation. </li></ul>

Marketing <ul><li>Send update to fans when something new is posted </li></ul><ul><li>Encourage Fans to leave comments </li></ul><ul><li>Monitor those comments (Engage in conversation) </li></ul><ul><li>Create an Ad for Facebook Fan Page to attract more Fans </li></ul><ul><li>Link Blog to Fan Page </li></ul>

Engage Future Business Owners with Google AdWords <ul><li>To promote growth a Google Adwords campaign would be great. </li></ul><ul><li>The focus area should be the primary growth areas of business in MI such as alternative energy, life sciences, water technology </li></ul><ul><li>When others search for any of these key terms and starting a business in these areas an ad can pop up leading them to the website </li></ul>

In this campaign several things should be monitored </li></ul><ul><li>Comments on each social media platform </li></ul><ul><li>Use monitter or social mention to track tweets </li></ul><ul><li>Use Google Analytics to track Adwords </li></ul><ul><li>Track comments and views on blog site </li></ul>
