2. POTENTIAL NAMES
• Bellezza
• DI MODA
• VIBRAZIONI
• POSITIVA(feminine)
• TRUCCO
• Aphrodite
• FREYA
• VENUS
I decided to pick the name FREYA for my
magazine because it looked more
aesthically pleasing.
Freya is the Goddess of love in Norse
mythology, but she is also associated
with sex, lust, beauty, sorcery, fertility,
gold, war and death. I thought that
meanings behind the name Freya would
be effective and go along with the idea
of Hollie being a powerful women.
3. MAIN SELL LINES
• Top 10 trends of 2019
• Beauty and fashion trends from 2002-now
• Hollie and her life as an influencer
• Torturous trolls try to takeover the media
• Cutest winter outfits of the century
• The making of a modern style icon
• exclusive
4. INSPIRATION
I took inspiration of the way her name is on show from
this picture. I was really inspired by the colour palettes
and especially the blue calm, happy toned one just
below.
This was the magazine that had inspired me the most
due to the pull quote around the silhouette, the colour
palette is simple and clean and modest. She has sub
images in with her article which makes it fun and
entertaining so you see a little bit more into her life. I
really like how she has the statements or questions in a
bolder font to make them noticeable and then
underneath she answers, adding to the article.

6. INSPIRATION PICTURES INCLUDED
• These are some pictures I
thought about adding
onto my magazine of
celebrities to attract more
of an audience. I
eventually decided that I
wanted to take not of the
glamour magazine
featuring kylie jenner and
just have it as hollie and
nobody else on my front
cover. However these are
the images I would have
included. I would have
added them around the
bottom and right hand
side of my front cover and
remover the background
from them so it was just
the celeb and a quote or

These are the types of images I wanted to
include and manipulate by getting rid of
the background and adjusting some
lighting. I had chosen these pictures due to
the fact they were quite neutral and went
along side with my magazines themes and
colour palleted. However I later decided I
did not want to use these due to my
magazine looking too cluttered and un
professional. This is when I decided to
make the magazine all about hollie. If I had
added the pictures it would have looked
unproffesional and rushed.
7. PHOTOGRAPHY PLANNING
• Location- studio, looks more professional, I can get perfect lighting.
• Props- makeup brush? Palette? Lighting- lowkey, focus on hollies face
and body.
• Model- Hollie Joice.
• No sub images because hollie is the main story.
• Images on double page spread will be small and inspired by GLAMOURs
kylie jenner double page spread with a look of a timeline.
• High key lighting
• Close up/ medium shot for front cover
10. FINAL FRONT PAGE COVER
I've picked this picture as my front cover because of the way Hollie is
posing and looking down at the camera with a serious smirk on her
face. The camera angle is looking up front the ground, known as a
worms eye. This makes Hollie look extremely powerful and like she has
nothing to care about.
i thought that this was a good way to show that she is powerful and
she has taken control of her life, it gives us the image that she has a
strong and big personality where I feel like in the other pictures
didn't’t met my standards for this magazine n the sense of me wanting
to promote strong women and their fashion and beauty. There was
pictures that were very similar to this and one of them I was going to
choose. This one right here:
The reasoning for not picking this one was because
I thought that it didn't’t look as powerful with her
feet not fully in it and its at a higher angel so it
doesn't’t look as relevant as the one I actually
picked.
11. FINAL DOUBLE PAGE SPREAD
• For the double page spread i have chosen to do a time
line of little pictures resembling a time line of her
career and they would be used as sub images and
another source of entertainment.
• I have chosen this picture on the bottom left as the
dominant image because I felt that Hollie looked a lot
more playful which is the opposite to how she looked
on the cover.
• It shows us two different sides of Hollie. It implies that
she is not all serious and she has a playful, witty side.

13. DRAFT FRONT COVER
I created a draft for my front cover
but decided I was unsure on how it
looks.
I decided I wanted to play around
with the editing of the front cover
and do things such as reduce the
width of your sell-lines, reduce the
font size, just have 2-3 sell lines
and I wanted to experiment with
changing the font.
29/11/19
I made those changes and move
the main sell lines to make the
front cover look less cluttered and
full. I then chose to make the font
smaller which makes it fit the front
cover.
14. FINAL FRONT COVER
• I decided to change the front cover again and space out
the sub stories so it looked more appealing. It looks less
cramped and more professional. I also added a website at
the bottom of the page.
• On the magazine covers that I have used as inspiration
they look calm and have their sub stories spaced out and
very few of them. I decided to take on this idea and I
thought that having a lot of sub stories is going to take
away the main focus of the model in my dominant image
and if they're all closely and tightly packed together its
going to take away the ‘clean’ look that I have aspired to
achieve with this magazine.

16. DPS PROGRESS
My first option was this picture for my dominant image but I
later chose to change that. The reason being because I felt
like the one that best suit my storyline was the second one
as I mention her best friend in there and we hear a lot about
how he helps her cope with what she does and her genuine
everyday lifestyle.
I felt that the second image would keep the audience more
entertained as they would want to know who this male
figure is, why they seem so close to each other, why their
body language is the way it is. However the first image can
make the audience bored as it is very similar to the image
that we decided to use as our front cover.
People would be more intrigued if someone else in hollies
life is involved as it goes that little bit further than just
getting to know Hollie. You get to know her friend and what
he helps her with, etc.
17. DPS PROGESS
I chose to change the colour on the page where the article will be located as it fits with the picture
more than just having a blocked white colour. It looks more professional as it blends and has the
same colours.
I have started to add a text and bend it around the silhouette of my models which was inspired by
the double page spread of kylie Jenner by GLAMOUR which is located on one of my first slides and
in my planning of the magazine.
Having the grey background makes things look like more effort was involved than just a white
unprofessional block and I feel that it fits perfectly with my front cover image and my double page
spread image.
18. DPS PROGRESS
I finished the text around the
silhouettes and used a pull quote
from the article to intrigue the
audience. I picked one of the most
emotionally attached quotes so it
would make the readers feel a
certain way. This had taken quite a
while and a lot of effort was put
into it. I had to use several tools
repetitively to create the perfect
outlines of my models in this
picture.
I done it like this because my
inspiration for my magazine was
the one of kylie Jenner created by
glamour.
19. FINAL DPS
I finished my article and added hollies name and
page numbers to make the whole page come
together. I used a drop cap, and a sub image so it
would look more professional.
I changed the colour of the questions so they would
stand out and I used the colour blue as it
connotates a calming atmosphere. The calming
blue that I had chosen to use doesn’t clash with the
rest of the colours as my whole page is set to a very
modern, clean looking colour pallete.
I was very specific with the shade of blue, I didn’t
want an over whelming bright one or one that was
too dark so I used the colour dropping tool and
picked up tnhis shade of blue from my models
