Walk through Science Erasmus+ 2018 - 2020

1. Visit to the Local Science Centre
As part of the event "November- the month of Science"
which is organized annually in our country, a group of
pupils from our school together with teacher Ruzha
Angeleska visited the Faculty of Natural Sciences and
Mathematics in Skopje.

2. During our visit we attended on:
1. Popular scientific lectures in the fields of
biology, chemistry and geography such as:
 Monitoring of brown bear in
Prespa region in our country -
its prevalence in our country
and its life
 Mendeleev and the Periodic
Element System – the data
on known chemical elements,
such as their electronic
configuration,
electronegativity values,
atomic number and chemical
symbol

3.  Geoparks -their establishment,
sustainability and the benefits
thereof. Geoparks are not only
important for its geological
forms, its also possess various
ecological, archaeological,
historical and cultural landmarks.
In the last 20 years, geoparks in
the world have grown and
already are registered 255 in 40
countries. Most are in China
(38), Spain (12), Italy (10).

4. 2. Presentation of a large number of projects
developed by high school students in our
country in the field of biology, geography,
physics and chemistry.

5. - The pupil from our school presented the project of
geography with a model and presentation of Mark's
Towers - located near our city of Prilep. Emphasis on
the presentation was given to the natural value and
uniqueness of this site ie the age, origin and
geomorphological composition of the rocks.

6. - Also the other pupil from our school presented the project of
chemistry - polymer containing urethane bonding –
RNHCOOR. Procedure: put in a glass of polyol, tegoamine
BDE, tegoamine 33, toluene diisocyanate, silicon and water.
Polyol and diisocyanate are the main reactants, BDE and
tegoamine 33 are catalysts. The silicon acts as a surfactant,
while water helps in the inflating reaction, in which reaction
with toluene diisocyanate yields CO2 which is actually the
cause of the inflatable foam.

7. This visit to the Faculty of Natural Sciences and
Mathematics - the interesting lectures by the professors
and the presentation of quite interesting projects by
pupils, expanded our knowledge in the field of natural
sciences.
