In 2011, a Slovakian secondary school continued its international cooperation project with schools in Germany, Poland, Italy, and Turkey focused on environment and renewable energy sources. During bilateral meetings in Bratislava and Izmir, students visited various power plants and historical sites while learning about environmental protection and energy. The multi-year project aimed to promote intercultural education and language skills through international exchanges focused on renewable energies. Partners communicated online and through annual meetings to collaborate on presentations and other work highlighting the importance of sustainable energy solutions.

Bratislava, Slovakia continued in international
cooperation with other countries of European union

4. BILATERAL PROJECT MEETING IN BRATISLAVA
 From 1st March – 6th March 2011 was held bilateral
project meeting in Bratislava. 9 polish students and 3
polish teachers visited our country
 During the meeting we visited three power plants,
located near Bratislava
 The first was hydropower plant in Gabcikovo,
because it is Slovak largest hydroelectric power plant
 the second was nuclear PP Jaslovske Bohunice
 and the latest PP was Wind PP near the Slovak-
Austrian border in Prellenkirchen.

 In addition, we attended some historical
monuments of Bratislava and vicinity – Devin
castle, Bratislava castle, Primacialny Palace,
Red Stone, the ceramic factory in Pezinok.
During the visit in our school, we discussed
about energy in the future because we were
in exhibition Energy in future – fusion and we
presented them visiting of solar PP Kľučovec
because slovak students participated in this
excursion

 During our meeting in Ismir we visited the city hall Izmir,
where we could listen to some lectures about environmental
program of the city Izmir, Conak square, Cesme castle,
windmills in Alacati, geothermal PP Balcova, ruins of
Ephesus and Selcuk Museum

 It was very difficult day because it was work
at school
 We had to describe the places we visited, our
own thoughts and feelings connected with the
people we could met, the best memories,
moments of joy or sadness ...
 We made mixed nationality groups and we
worked together.
 Than we sent our book to german teacher –
