Responsibilities Brand Strategy & Marketing:
* Develop strategies that energize and strongly differentiate the DailyCandy brand in the
marketplace including defining/redefining the brand positioning and developing new messaging
strategies.
* Develop and implement strategic marketing plans to support prioritized initiatives across
multiple platforms (email, web, social, mobile), resulting in increased site trafc, commerce
sales, audience growth/acquisition and heightened DailyCandy brand awareness.
* Develop 360-degree executional strategy with cross-functional groups (including but not
limited to Editorial, Creative, Sales Development, Deals Merchandising, and Product
Management).
Audience Development:
* Create and implement audience development plans for each platform, working closely with
Editorial, Product, Sales Development, Deals Merchandising and Technology teams to ensure
that we leverage every opportunity for traffic growth, meet the needs of the advertising
marketplace and drive e-commerce transactions.
* Continually optimize email products and delivery tactics to improve open rates, increase e-
commerce conversions and drive significant website traffic.

2. * Develop, execute and continually improve partnerships and promotional/sweepstakes
programs reaching sizeable external audiences to drive significant subscriber/member
acquisition and website traffic. Work closely with the Editorial team to ensure that the
promotions attract qualified leads.
* Design, develop, manage and optimize campaigns in the areas of online advertising, social
media marketing, and SEM, working with internal and external constituents.
* Achieve targeted audience acquisition and engagement results and ensure timely and
effective execution of marketing tactics and programs.
Social Commerce Strategy and Sales Goals:
* Create and execute successful advertising campaigns, media strategies and marketing
programs to increase DailyCandy Deals brand awareness, drive traffic, conversion and repeat
purchasing.
* Create and implement integrated marketing calendar for DailyCandy Deals including
promotional programs, coupons, RAF, email marketing, etc.
* Work with Sales and Sales Marketing departments to raise the DailyCandy brand's visibility
with clients and agencies.
* Partner effectively with the Merchandising Team to build seasonal ecommerce marketing
strategy and ensure all programs support the DailyCandy Deals and contribute to ecommerce
revenue growth.
* Execute the marketing strategy around social media, in partnership with the Editorial team.
P/L Management and Business Intelligence:
* Oversee budget for key acquisition and engagement programs to maximize opportunities and
ROI. Calculate ROI for each program and make recommendations based on results to increase
opt-ins, traffic, conversion, AOV, and repeat purchases.
* Support General Manager with analysis of key marketing metrics and site performance.
Communicate reporting and analysis with key stakeholders to share pertinent leanings.
* Leverage analytics aggressively to optimize all of our business activities, from audience
development itself, to content creation, product development and other new business initiatives
as well as analytics to establish, interpret, and analyze critical online KPI (key performance
indicator) targets
Team Management:
* Oversees team of 3 direct reports and 6 total team members, including Audience
Development, Business Intelligence and Event Planning. Responsible for mentoring people and
managing recruiting, talent development, evaluation and career planning.
* Establish relationships with counterparts in NBCU to share best practices, leverage company
resources and gain value for DailyCandy and DailyCandy Deals.
* Manage DailyCandy's internal and corporate digital promotional inventory.
Qualifications/Requirements Eligibility Requirements :

* Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
* Must be 18 years or older
* 10+ years of media or consumer marketing experience, including at least 7 years experience
in online media and marketing, direct marketing or customer relationship management.
* Strong understanding of the DailyCandy brand, pop-culture trends, the digital marketplace and
how they all inter-relate.
* Expert-level experience in email marketing including 3 years managing a large-scale and
multi-dimensional email program AND experience working with one or more major ESPs.
* Experience in all facets of database marketing including ROI, LTV, RFM and direct marketing
campaign management technology and processes. Strong working knowledge of Omniture.
* Significant experience in all aspects of online audience development, including SEO, SEM,
online advertising, online contests and promotions, social media marketing and newsletter
marketing.
