How to Repairing a broken touch screen! It is a nightmare especially when all your contacts and details are shared on your phone. https://androidparts.wordpress.com/2015/07/25/how-to-fix-the-broken-touch-screen-of-your-htc-phone/
2. Repairing a broken touch screen can be a
nightmare especially when all your
contacts and details are shared on your
phone. Most of us don’t remember phone
numbers by heart. Once the number is
saved on our phone, we make calls by
searching for the number in our contact
list. As such if the phone becomes
defunct, we can be in a soup. Following
are 13 easy steps that will help you to
replace the broken screen so that you
can again use your Smartphone.
3. # We will begin with removing the 5 Torx screws from
the base. In case you think that you will get confused,
click a picture of your phone so that you know what was
where.
1st Step
5. • Remove the 5 Torx screws that can be seen now.
• Push the main device out of the metal chassis. Be
careful while doing it, don’t be too hard while
handling as this might break the chassis.
• Get the two 5 Torx screws at the top.
• As we are separating the display elements from
the phone you need to be extra careful. Look for
the 2 ribbon cables coming in the side. Use the
pry tool to remove the tape, if any. Lifts up the
white locking element and with the help of a small
screw remove the ribbons.
Other Steps
6. # Now comes the hardest part of repairing the
phone all by your own. You need to remove the
gasket that binds the digitizer with the display
chassis. In order to soften the adhesive you need
to heat it. But be careful. Too much heat can
destroy the display screen, so we recommend that
you use a hair dryer. Keep the mouth of the dryer
away and keep on rotating the heat throughout the
phone so that the adhesive loosens and the gasket
comes off.
7. • Use the pry tool to lift up the least broken part
of the glass. If the adhesive is too sticky then
you need to use the heat again so that it becomes
easier to remove the glass.
• If you have damaged the gasket in the process
then comes this step. You need to replace it with
a new one. There are many online stores that deal
in these HTC parts that you can easily purchase.
• If there is any protective film inside the phone
then remove it. Now feed the new digitizer ribbon,
angle it properly and firmly push it down so that
the glue gets stuck properly.
8. Now switch on your phone and wait for it to spring
back to life once again. Voila! You are all set to use
the phone once again.
