BETTER INTERPRETING ODOS
Vision
Build a new way of being in haute couture fashion, promoting peace, a sustainable
environment and cultural exchange of local communities as well as overcoming size barriers
Mission
Contribute to improving the living conditions of local communities, with respect for human
dignity, the rule of law, fundamental freedoms and human rights, with a view to the economic
and social development of cities and communities.
3. 3
Framework
The developing coaching, poems and haute couture fashion brand, Minina Retro, implements
the international program, One Dress, One Smile (ODOS). The objective is to contribute to the
poverty reduction, through the design, manufacture and sale of exclusive and colorful haute
couture dresses, in which sixty percent of the sale of each item goes towards capacity building
and technical on development projects, implemented by the public and private sectors in pilot
countries, from 2021 to 2030, fulfilling the decade of Action launched by the UN to accelerate
the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). ODOS forms a partnership with the England-based
Global Peace Let's Tak organization, DEV 17 AHIABGA (Ad Hoc International Advisory Board of
Global Goodwill Ambassadors for the UN Global Compact) based in the United States of America,
and the Alliance for Humanity, based in Sweden. Through technical assistance to governments
and non-governmental organizations, ODOS makes available the expertise of round twenty
international organizations covering all seventeen areas of the SDGs on all continents.
Joining ODOS Program
ODOS, as a social development program, welcomes all organizations that advocate the ten
principles of the UN Global Compact, as well as individuals from all social spheres, without any
discrimination based on gender or race, tribes and nations, languages, politics and religions,
governments and individuals. ODOS and its partners launch, in each pilot community, funds
managed by the community through cooperatives to support families in the creation of income-
generating activities, with the objective of training them for the implementation of projects to
improve living conditions.
Community Management Funds can enable families in urban areas, especially in informal
settlements, with special attention to families affected by the covid-19 pandemic, to recover
income or initiate activities that allow them to have a financial benefit around the fashion
industry (modeling, cutting and sewing, customization, recycling, crafts, among other
specialties). In each round, a cooperation agreement will be signed with the local organization
that is responsible for making and selling haute couture dresses and handcrafts to its partners
and friends at a fair local price in order to retain sixty percent of sales for its development
projects, previously between the coordination of the ODOS program and partner. Forty percent
of sales go to ODOS, which provides the dress designs, and technical assistance for the creation
of the humanitarian fund to support projects and programs for accelerating the Sustainable
Development Goals. A follow-up and coaching team is provided by ODOS throughout the cycle.
