Question 6
1. In the research and planning stage of our production we used computers, to research our
movie genre and use a piece of software called Prezi to make presentations of our findings.
We also used cameras to conduct interviews with our target audience, take pictures of
written work and take pictures of target audience case studies. Finally we used a piece of
software called Word to record things such as the script.
In the construction of our film we used cameras to film the movie opening, and to
take pictures of us filming. We used a piece of software called Movie Studio Platinum
to edit the footage. We also used Internet Explorer to get the resources for editing
the movie, such as the royalty free music and the images needed for the logo and
studio logo. We had to use microphones for recording the voices after we had
recording issues.
For the Evaluation of our movie opening we used Prezi and Word to write up our
evaluation of the movie opening. To post our evaluations made on word we
used a piece of software called Slideshare, which turned the word documents
into a scrollable presentation. We also used YouTube to post our movie
opening on there for the blog.
In all three stages we used blogger, to post our research, filming updates, and
analysis.
I had two problems with the software I used. With Photoshop I didn’t know how to use it properly,
since I don’t use it often. This slowed down my progress in making my studio logo; however I got
used to the process once I started to do the film logo. With the hardware, however, we had a
problem with the microphone because our phones were on so that ruined the sound in some of the
shots, however we managed to fix the problem by recording the sound again.
Before the preliminary task I had never used blogger before, however the software was easy to use
and allowed me to post my updates without any problems. I had no problems recording the film
either because I had used a camera to record movies before; what’s more I was not the one
recording most of the time.
