Inexperienced teachers have a good subject specialism, this is generally fresh from their training,
however not much practical experience in the classroom and dealing with difficult situations.
"For many newly qualified teachers, while pupils provide the ultimate reward in teaching, their
poor behavior was often the cause of the major low points". In some aspects there is very little
difference in experienced or new teachers in relation to their knowledge in their subject, both
should know their subject well and keep their knowledge updated on a regular basis. Also both
want to make a difference to their students' life, to teach them to the best of their capability.
However there are differences in how they teach their subject, how they come across to their
students and how they manage their classrooms. More experienced teachers will be more confident
in their approach, more prepared to deal with a variety of learning needs, have made mistakes in the
past and learned from these to better prepare themselves for the future. Generally new teachers lack
the confidence to teach which can only be gained through experience, they need to learn what works
and what does not, reflect on this and incorporate this into their next lesson. New teachers do

What does a story about a very religious, Puritan man who goes into the woods to see a witch party
and a story about a con man who steals a girl's fake leg have to do in common? This may seem like
an odd and unusual question, but these short stories by Flannery O'Connor and Nathaniel Hawthorne
are similar. The short stories of Good Country People and Young Goodman Brownare different in
their plots, but are alike in the personalities and flaws of the characters; both stories having
characters who are hypocritical and manipulative. Good Country People by Flannery O'Connor is
a story with a lot of ironic elements in it. These are mostly found in the way that the characters
depict themselves in contrast of how they truly are. For example, Mrs. Hopewell says that she
has no bad qualities of her own, but she is a constant liar is an how she happened to hire the
Freemans in the first place and how they were a godsend to her and how she had them for four

Mrs. Hopewell is not the only hypocrite in this story; Manley Pointer is also incredibly
hypocritical, fake, and manipulative. He depicts himself as a "Bible salesmen", but in reality he is

and judgment can be flawed, even if the person's intentions appear good to them. There is a level of

The theme of the story "The Lottery" is blind acceptance of something just because it is considered
tradition. In Jackson's "The Lottery", symbols are utilized to help show the theme. The name of the
story, "The Lottery", itself is a symbol. The term lottery can be viewed, by most, as a good thing, a
hope in winning, but winning the lottery takes on a very different, very dark meaning in
Jackson's story. Also, the names of the characters are symbols as well. For example, Graves is a
name that would portray death and Summers is a bright and cheerful name. Also, the name Old
Man Warner would show tradition. Next, is the use of the black box and the black dot on the
paper. The color black is showing darkness, evil, and death. The tradition of the black box is a

Tessie's personality is somewhat similar to Paul's but they also have their differences. Paul is very
hopeful about winning the money his family needs, he has an incredible love for his mother. He is
also very passionate about horse–races. He has a real gift for picking a winner and it's this attitude
that leads him to make money for his mother and save their house from haunting them. Tessie is also
hopeful, hopeful that she will not 'win' the lottery. Of course, we find as we read that this doesn't
happen. Tessie does 'win' the lottery and she seems to be the only one that is saddened by this fact.
Little Paul is a very hopeful, fortunate boy. He so vividly pictures the horse races to come while
riding his rocking–horse, it's as if he's in the race himself and the rocking–horse is the winning

There are both similarities and differences in "The Kiss" and "LOVE". The emotion and meaning
behind both are incredible, it shows and understands the meanings of love, lust, joy, and intimacy.
Love can either be spelt out or expressed by action and is what both pieces show. Love can be

Going
While comparing and contrasting, "A Good Man is Hard to Find" and "Where Have You Been,
Where Are You Going," readers could find similarities and differences between Arnold and The
Misfit. Both of these characters will be analyzed by an aspect of religion and their characterization
throughout the story.
Throughout the story, readers could analyze that the main characters Arnold and The Misfits knew
what they are doing. Not only do they know what they are doing but they are also really good at
what they do. These characters know how to manipulate people although the people they are
manipulating know they are bad. In "A Good Man is Hard," Arnold uses his charm to talk to
Connie. He uses this charm of his to get Connie interested. They are both villains...show more

They can also be portrayed differently by why they are committing the crime. Arnold Friend is
very interested in younger girls which makes him want to convey himself as a younger man. He
says that he will take care of them but at the end no one really knows what he does but one can

was more selective of who he was going to murder. He went for those he believed didn't follow

are better with sports than woman he refers to a personal story; specifically a story about a dinner
party that he attended where the men were glued to the World Series and the women were still
chatting amongst themselves. These forms of examples are personal stories that offer validity. On
the other hand, in Britt's Neat people vs. Sloppy people she uses more dreamt up incidences to
explain her opinions. For example when explaining how neat people are "viscous with their mail"
she explains, " All ads, catalogs, pleas for charitable contributions, church bulletins, and
money–saving coupons go straight into the trash can without being opened...No sentimental
salvaging of birthday cards or the last letter a dying relative ever wrote. Into the trash it goes" (256).

Compare And Contrast On Good And Evil
In the world today, there have been many tragic occurrences that can be seen as evil, for example
the Stoneman Douglas High School shooting. On Wednesday February 14, 2018 Nikolas Cruz was
charged with 17 counts of premeditated murder. Cruz, a former student of Stoneman Douglas,
opened fire killing 17 and wounded many others. When looking at the situation, Many people argue
about Cruz's motive. Authors like William Golding, would argue that Nikolas Cruz is a innatelyevil
person, his true purpose was to hurt the kids. Whereas authors like, Gibran would argue that we, the
people, failed Nikolas because all the signs showed that he wasn't mentally stable, but no one acted
on reflecting that it was our faults. Both of these authors, have strong views of what is good and evil,
which are reflected through their writings. In Lord of the Flies, written by William Golding, and
"On Good and Evil", written by Kahlil Gibran, the two authors come up with their own depictions of
good and evil. Through Golding's writing, he describes the evil within each person...show more

Gibran uses repetition of "you are good" which directly relates with the readers implying that
there is goodness within each of us. Throughout the poem there are several different examples,
such as "You are good in countless ways," and "You are good when you strive to give of
yourself." (Gibran#) Both these examples make it seems as if he is talking directly with the
readers taking it to a personal level to get his point across that there is goodness within everyone.
Along with good there is bound to evil, but instead Gibran sees it differently. He sees evil as a effect
of trying to do good. In one of the first line of the poems Gibran says, "For what is evil but good
tortured by its own hunger and thirst? Verily when good is hungry it seeks food even in dark caves,
and when it thirsts it drinks even of dead waters."

Comparing Worldviews
Worldviews vary from person to person and faith to faith, resulting in everyone seeing the world
through their own assumptions and beliefs. Out of the many worldviews discussed in the text,
Integrative Approaches to Psychology and Christianity, and in class three stood out to me for
comparison. These three worldviews consist of Naturalism, Pantheism and Polytheism.
Worldviews, although not always correct, are how people see the world and reflect on our
expectations about life. Differences can be seen in beliefs such as if they believe in a spiritual
world, a material world, or both. Worldview's purposes are to explain the purpose of man and the
world. All three worldviews attribute the problems in the world to different aspects based on their
beliefs and have diverse notions of how to resolve the world problems. Although a few similarities
can be found among these world views, there are multiple differences found.
When attempting to explain the purpose of man and the world, all three worldviews use different
approaches. Naturalism believes man is here by chance, that humanity just happened and one day it
will phase off the earth. Polytheism takes the approach of men and creatures on earth being the
creation of gods and were put here to entertain the gods and spirits. Pantheism believes only in a
spiritual world, so everything outside the spiritual world is an illusion. Naturalism and Pantheism are
on complete opposite ends of the spectrum

show our readers a subject's similarities. When we contrast, we show our readers a subject's
differences. Compare and Contrast essays are learning–process essays. You learn about your subject
as you gather and organize information. This type of essay takes a bit of organization, and it's this

of qualities or traits that each of your subjects has, and as you do this, you will discover insights to

Aguilera has its similarities and differences, along with different perspectives of the audiences. With
different tones, moods, and purposes these songs have a huge impact on society for defining the
