1. The Benefits Of Being A Lovecat
Currently, going to work seems to be one hundred percent an obligation and zero percent fun.
People seem to go to work with no motivation. They do it because they have to, instead of actually
enjoying it. In Love is the killer app, Tim Sanders gives the best advice for separating yourself from
the rest of the pack. In this case, separating yourself from the people who "hate" doing their job. For
Sanders, the solution is to "be a lovecat". A lovecat is a person who offers wisdom freely, gives
away his address book to everyone who wants it, and is always a human (p. 3). Lovecats can be
easily identified for they are the people who like to share what they have and what they know and
are valued for doing it.
Moving on, the book mentions the idea that the business world is run by the new technologies and
advancements; statement that is not supported by Sanders. He believes that ... Show more content on

When you offer an amusing, interesting, and compassionate service, you create a positive
relationship with others that is rewarded with trust and loyalty (p. 45) People see you not only as a
service provider but as a friend and role model. Additionally, having access to people´s attention,
harness the power of positive presumption, receiving exceptional feedback form those who want to
see you grow, and most important, gaining personal satisfaction are other things that you can gain
while learning to be a lovecat.
As Sanders mentions, personal happiness is very important. When work is such a big part of our
lives, it is important to be happy with our work environment. Doing our job is more than just
completing the tasks required. We need to get to the end of the day feeling good about ourselves,
what we did for us, and what we did for others. Now, how do you get this feeling of satisfaction?
Again, you need to be a lovecat, increase your knowledge, expand your network, and share your
compassion are the three key

5. Persuasive Essay About Autism
"Nobody exist on purpose. Nobody belongs anywhere" – (Morty smith) I like this because it tells
me that I don't have to live as someone else wants me to. I wasn't born with Autism on purpose, I
wasn't born with such loving parents on purpose either I just came alive. I can do with my life as I
see fit and be happy with that because I'm was not born to do anything ,but survive with the option
of how to do so. One question I am asked all the time by my family is who are you and what are you
going to do with your future... what are you going to do to earn a living? I've given it quite a bit of
thought and I think the best response I can produce to satisfy the question is my personality, my
interest, and my education that are guiding me to a successful and independent future. My identity is
structured around adaptiveness to my autism because of how much it has impacted my life. For
instance, during the earlier periods of my life socialization was nearly impossible for me. When I
was in the third grade my attempt at making friends ended poorly as rather than socializing properly
I simply butted into conversations with topics that had nothing to do with what my peers were
discussing. I eventuality learned how to be empathetic with others which is how I developed social
skills. During the eighth grade my friend Oscar was stressed out by his sister, only having older
brothers, I couldn't really relate to him; however, empathising made the image of the issue much

9. Shakespeare’s Richard II Essay: Search for Identity in...
Search for Identity in Richard II
Shakespeare's Richard II tells the story of Richard's fall from power. Being dethroned by
Bolingbroke forces Richard to confront the limitations and nature of his power as king. As audience
members, we follow Richard on his journey of self–discovery, which enlightens him even as his life
is shattered by Bolingbroke's revolt. Paradoxically, it is in utter defeat that Richard comes closest to
understanding what it is to be human. Unfortunately he is unable to accept life as an ordinary subject
after having tasted what it means to rule.
For God's sake, let us sit upon the ground,
And tell sad stories of the death of kings–
How some have been deposed, some slain in war,
Some haunted ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Devastated by the news because he realizes it signals the now inevitable end to his rule, Richard
reconsiders what it means to be a king. He first states his newfound ideas regarding the true nature
of the power of kings, then laments that he can no longer be numbered among the ranks of
monarchs. Finally he searches for a new role he can fill, now that he can no longer be king; he
realizes there is no such role as an ordinary person that he would be content to accept.
This soliloquy expresses first Richard's new conceptualization of the origin and form of kings'
power; it stands in sharp contrast to his earlier view of kings as innately born to rule. At the opening
of the play Richard firmly believed that as king he was infallible, that he was chosen by God to rule
and that he had been born possessing those characteristics necessary to enable him to rule
effectively. He states with conviction in I.i.196: "We were not born to sue, but to command." When
Bolingbroke first challenged his authority, Richard was confident that as king as must be in the

14. Quotes From Bartleby The Scrivener
Lazy, stubborn, and strength are commonly construed with the American people. An American
archetype is a person that represents universal American human patterns. People have said that the
character Bartleby from Bartleby, the Scrivener demonstrates resemblance to an American
archetype. The novella is set during the mid 1800's on Wallstreet. During this time period there was
a rise in change and the world was moving at a rapid pace. Bartleby struggle with change and relates
to an American archetype by being lazy, stubborn and strong inside the work place. Bartleby is a
very ignorant man who commonly refuses to do the simplest tasks. He would often be asked by his
boss to copy down a legal document and he would just refuse. He resembles the human pattern of an
American archetype that was unwilling to accept change. Bartleby displays his unwillingness to
change when he is given the choice to either move out of his office or go to jail and says "at present
I would prefer not to make any change at all." (Melville 26) He believes that his life was perfect the
way it was. This was commonly seen in America during the time period when you had a battle
between the younger generation with new ideals and the older generation refusing change. Bartleby
is acting like the older generation by ignoring the need to move on and willingness to open up to
new ideals. It is even seen in today's culture often seen with gay rights and the fight between

18. Descriptive Speech About Theatre
When you're on stage, you have the opportunity to forget your pains and sorrows. You get to take on
someone else's life for a while, and it is bliss compared to your reality. However, my journey to this
nirvana was a tough and late one. In my opinion, you should start theatre as early as possible. That
way, you can quit if you hate it, but you can stay if you love it. Despite my late arrival to the hobby,
I have grown to adore theatre, despite my journey being emotionally taxing. Logan Wagner is a 20
year old male who lives in the humble town of Forest, Virginia. A Brookville Theatre Alumni and
current member of Lynchburg College Theatre. Being my cousin, I'm one of the few being who truly
knows him. Most people don't know Logan Wagner. They know Ebeneezer Scrooge, the king from
Cinderella, Phillip from Drop Dead, the Wizard of Oz, and Wilbur Turnblad. If you give him a
character to play, he will lose who he is and be replaced by that character. Growing up, I've always
looked up to him. I've been in awe at his plays. His acting, his comedy, his singing. He embodies
Broadway. Once I finally made it to sixth grade, I saw the opportunity to be like him... I didn't take
it. I thought a play called "Legally Blonde" sounded dumb, and all I needed then was more ways to
embarrass myself. Then I went to see it a few months later, and it was incredible. During the rest of
that school year and the beginning of the next, I became good friends with Brendan Schoeneweis

Perfect Life and Perfect Families What is a perfect life or perfect family? From an outsider looking
in, what does that life look like for you? Is the pressure of comparing your family with others and
realizing that you do not measure up to what you see? We all have dreams of what our ideal life
would be. Sometimes these are prompted by the "model" families that we have seen, or perhaps they
are the dreams we had of what our own family should be like. Is there such a thing as perfect
families or the perfect life? In the movie Juno and American Beauty some of these families try so
hard to look picture perfect, however they are far from it. Remember that looks can be deceiving
and comparison unfair. In the movie Juno, sixteen year old Juno is the type of girl that beats to her
own drum, and doesn't really care what other people think of her. Juno ends up pregnant from her
boyfriend, Paulie Bleeker. So she decides to have the baby and give the baby up for adoption. Juno
finds the perfect couple to adopt her baby. She finds Mark and Vanessa Loring, a yuppie couple
living in the suburbs. Juno likes the Loring's and in some respect has found what looks to be kindred
spirits in Mark, with whom she shares a love of grunge music and horror films. Vanessa is a little
more uptight and is the one in the relationship seemingly most eager to have a baby. Juno enters a
closed adoption contract with the Loring's. Throughout the film you find out just how imperfect

26. Between Utopias Essay
Although comparing one society to another does not require them to be different in government or
human behavior, it does necessarily weight one's faults against its victories to render it better or
worse than the other. This comparative structure, found between Thomas More's two books of
Utopia, poses the country of Utopia opposite the broader communities of world civilization. Despite
the comparison of Utopia as distinct from and morally better than widespread society, in truth
Utopia is, at best, an extension. The sloth of governments abroad have led Utopians to pursue lives
of group work rather than personal property. In Book I, Hythloday confronts the wealthy as
"rapacious, wicked, and useless, while the poor are unassuming, modest ... Show more content on

Instead of this injustice of jailing, the Utopians choose to take slaves. The fate facing slaves in
Utopia is to be "kept constantly at work, and are always fettered" (70). Considering the premise in
Book I of the Polylerites' constant work, Utopian slavery sounds vaguely tolerable, aside from the
fetters, and the fact that the Utopians do not need to work full days. The Utopians excuse slavery by
claiming they "deal with their own people more harshly" because they had "the best of moral
training" (70). In this case, the criminal is punished for moral delinquency in the form of slavery's
high moral standing. But perhaps the most remarkable and revealing of justifications is that "A third
class of slaves consists of hardworking penniless drudges from other nations who voluntarily choose
to become slaves in Utopia" (71). The appeal here, beyond the hilarity, is the existence of a third
class of slaves. Not only do Utopians believe in and use slavery, but also they take no issue with the
concept of a class system: not only to have slaves, but to have classes thereof. With slavery
considered voluntary for some, punishment for others, and simply the luck of the draw for the rest, it
appears the Utopians cannot reach the rationality they claim to behold.
Although they consider politics of other states to be flawed and corrupted, Utopia is not without its
suspicions. Kings of

My fascination with hacking and robotics have opened my mind to the future. For example, when I
first thought of hacking I only thought it was taking passwords for facebook accounts; however, the
more I investigated the more malevolent it proved to be. This showed me a pretty grim future due to
how robotics is making its way into the medical field and military. This introduced me to cyber
security the career that I now more than ever wish to pursue in my future. Robotics on the other
hand appears to be much more benevolent. Robotics has also been implemented into the rescue filed
in order to help find people who are trapped in places considered too dangerous for other people to

case this fascination was spurred by the information that I've gathered from the internet. The
information that I've gathered from the internet has enriched my vocabulary and made me tech

34. Analysis Of To Build A Fire By Jack London
"To Build a Fire" by Jack London is set in the harsh landscape of the Yukon Wilderness where the
sun does not shine for months and the temperature is continuously more than 50 degrees below zero.
London introduces us to the main character whom he only calls "the man" and to his companion, a
wolf–dog. The man is headed for an old claim on the left fork of Henderson Creek to meet the
"boys". As they travel, the dog is aware of the brutal cold, however, the man is only aware of the
cold when his spit crackles in the air. Yet, the man isn't concerned about the cold. The man continues
traveling at about four miles per hour until, he reaches Henderson Creek and notices traps that hide
pools of water under the snow. He takes care to avoid these traps by forcing his dog to travel ahead
of him. At 12:30 p.m., the man arrives at the forks of the creeks and eats his lunch. In the act of
trying to eat, he is astonished by the rate at which his fingers become numb from the cold. After the
man makes a fire and has a smoke, he moves on. At a place where there were no signs of any trap
beneath the ice, the man falls through and wets himself halfway to the knees. Knowing the danger of
his predicament, the man quickly builds a fire to dry out his feet. Unknowingly, the man built his
fire underneath a snow–covered tree and just as the fire is roaring to life, an avalanche of snow falls

38. The Possibility Of Evil Short Story
We all like to look at things that appeal to us. But sometimes appearances can deceive us: such as a
good deal going online until you're ready to pay and they hit you with shipping and handling taxes
and therefore raising the price dramatically. Or a movie that has a good trailer but once you watch it
as a result the movie was not as good as it appeared to be. It's good to notice the bigger picture and
to analyze it in more depth, rather than judge it but it's first sight. The main characters in the short
stories "Lamb to the Slaughter", by Roald Dahl, "The Possibility of Evil", by Shirley Jackson, could
have adapted from this lesson. In "Lamb to the Slaughter" Mrs. Maloney is this sweet, loving and
caring wife who loves her husband dearly, but once he came back from work he hit her with
heartbreaking and bad news: which sets her off. In "The Possibility of Evil" Miss Strangeworth
appears to be this kind and respected elderly lady, but behind close doors she is completely different.
Just because we see something to appear to be good doesn't mean that it can't reveal it's true colors
in a blink of an eye. Or that it could be the total opposite of your initial though. In both stories, the
reader discovers that even though something may appear to be one thing, it could turn out to be
something completely different. In "The Possibility of Evil," Shirley Jackson gives us a character
who may seem to be the town's most respected and longest established resident, but who actually

and today you live in the present which you simply know really do not need them any longer, then

58. Essay on Huck Finn: Appearance Versus Reality
Many people in this world will believe in the first impression they get. The appearance people see
will usually satisfy them without further investigating into the reality of a situation. The difference
between appearance and reality can be quite different. This also applies to literature. There are many
instances where an author will describes a character as kind, but is actually deceptive and mean. In
the novel The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, there are characters and situations that show how
appearances can differ from reality. The three main instances are the Grangerford and Shepherdson
feud, through the Duke and the Dauphin, and Miss Watson.

The Duke and the Dauphin are two men who fake their appearance for a living. As con–men, they
rely on people to believe in their appearance. The episode of the Royal Nonesuch illustrates how the
Duke and the Dauphin swindle people. They put up posters around the town stating that there would
be a performance of the Royal Nonesuch for three nights. The tricksters' plan was to charge the
villagers to get in to the performance, and then the Dauphin would cut the performance extremely
short. They achieved this and made a large sum of money. They also use their ability to fake their
appearance to gain special treatment from people. This was seen when the Duke said, "I will reveal
it to you, for I feel I may have confidence in you. By rights I am a duke" (163)! The Dauphin
quickly followed the Duke's lead and said, "You ain't the only person that's ben snaked down

However, Huck was smart enough to be able to identify the men as fakes and see past their
