Jesus Change
During class time, we learned about Jesus's impact on people. Many people were changed a lot.
They became kinder and more friendly. We could see this through people's reactions to God and the
good things they did. Through Jesus's teaching, not only Paul and people in the Bible, but every
Christian is becoming better people.
Among all the apostles, the change from Saul to Paul is the most amazing one for me. The name
"Saul" was once a deadly word for the citizens under Saul's control. He hated Christians at first. He
arrested and even killed a lot of apostles. Evil and cruel are the two words that best described him.
He was a demon before he was changed by Jesus.
In Acts 9, Saul was completely changed. When he went into the city of Damascus, ... Show more

When Jesus appeared in front of him and told him that he needed to save Saul, he hesitated. His
hesitation reflected the evilness of Saul. God chose Ananias because of his pure faith. The evilness
that stopped a faithful apostle from obeying God's order must be huge. It indirectly showed how bad
Saul was and how huge the change was as well. The reaction of Ananias is an important element in
here. Saul's changes were unbelievable. He was such an evil killer three days ago. No one could
imagine that three days later, he became a true believer of Jesus. Jesus purified his soul. This made
him act like a savior. All the sins were washed away. He became a faithful follower in Jesus and
God. The bible talked a lot about his faith after being healed. In Acts 21, Paul was arrested by the
Jews. He was with the people that grabbed him. After he turned to Jesus, he showed his faith
towards God. He could have been with the persecutors and keep looking for Christians. However, he
gave up the life he was used to and changed all his characteristics. Acts 22 described the things he
did after he was released. He said, "I was very serious about serving God, the same as all of you
here today." (Acts 22:3) He stood in front of the people that wanted to kill him several minutes

Jesus Resurrection
The New Testament is not the only sacred book that gives an account of the resurrection. The Quran,
Islam's holy scripture, tells of the arrest, crucifixion, and resurrection, but if differs in no small way
from the biblical account. In Surah 4:157–8 the Quran sates: And for saying, "we killed (the
Messiah) Jesus, son of Mary," the messenger of God.
They never killed him, they never crucified him–they were made to think that they did. All factions
are full of doubt concerning this issue. They possess no knowledge; they only conjecture. For
certain, they never killed. Instead, God raised Him to Him; God is Almighty, most wise. (Authorized
English Version).
The events surrounding Jesus' resurrection can be difficult to piece together. We must ... Show more

Second, the writers of the Gospels did not attempt an exhaustive narrative; in other words, Matthew,
Mark, Luke, and John had no intention of telling us every detail of the resurrection or every event in
the order that it happened.
In the battle with skeptics regarding Jesus' resurrection, Christians are in a "no–win" situation. If the
resurrection accounts harmonize perfectly, skeptics will claim that the writers of the Gospels
conspired together.
If the resurrection accounts have some differences, skeptics will claim that the Gospels contradict
each other and therefore cannot be trusted. It is our contention that the resurrection accounts can be
harmonized and do not contradict each other.
Islam teaches that Jesus never died but was assumed into heaven. There are a couple of variations
explaining the mechanics of this. One version has the soul of Jesus departing from the body before
the torture and execution.
According to the footnote in the Authorized English Version of the Quran quoted above, "his
enemies tortured and crucified his living, but empty body." 48 thus, Jesus was assumed into heaven,
but His soul–less body was left on earth to be

Jesus In Pilate
It is a tempestuous and perilous time in the Roman Empire. Nowhere more so than in the Roman
occupied city, Jerusalem. The holy city teems with pilgrims for the springtime fete of Passover;
decades of violent resistance have tightened the iron grip of the Roman governor, Pontus Pilate.
Myriad messiahs have endeavored to free the Jewish people from the yoke of Roman oppression.
All have failed. Into the powder keg rides Yeshua of Nazareth, known today as Jesus Christ.
Accompanied by a group of armed followers, Jesus strides into the court of the Gentiles and attacks
the center of religious and commercial life, overturning tables and driving the sacrificial animals
out. As Roman law dictates, Pilate crucifies Jesus for his zealous disruption ... Show more content

His book reads like a novel. A graceful, entertaining narrative designed to present the public with a
simplified picture of ancient Palestine and early Christianity. The book does not even look like an
academic work of historical analysis. Zealot is absent of footnotes, settling for an extended notes
section towards the end of the book. In the text, he picks his sources with a selective bias. When
proving his point, Aslan pulls one quote from the gospels as evidence, but neglects legitimate
sources that conflict with or repudiate his argument. This is exampled in Aslan's analysis of the
kingdom of God. He argues that Jesus's kingdom of God calls for violent action against any who
don't support it. To verify this, he refers to the especially violent Parable of the Great Supper in
Matthew 22.2: "The Kingdom of God in Jesus's teachings...is at once the joyous wedding feast
within the king's royal hall, and the blood soaked streets outside its walls." (124) However, he fails
to recognize the same parable in Luke, which does not possess the violent passages Mark has. Many
Jesus scholars would have acknowledged this as Matthean redaction – a popular belief of Jesus
scholars that suggests Matthew edited certain parts of the Q gospel. As a scholar of Religions, Aslan
must have known about Matthean redaction. Yet, he doesn't include it in his

Barabbas And Jesus
In this passage by Mark, Pilate asks the crowd of people who they wanted free: Jesus or Barabbas.
Barabbas is a prisoner with murderers. Pilate asks the crowd if they wanted the Jesus, the King of
the Jews, freed. The chief priests were jealous at the time of Jesus' religious recognition and how
much he was celebrated. Therefore, they brainwashed the crowds into rejecting Pilate's offer and
saying "Crucify him!" even though there is no reason to do so. Pilate does not want to risk his fame
and appreciation from society, so he frees Barabbas the prisoner and sends Jesus to die. Jesus is
tortured and mocked by the soldiers. They place a crown of thorns on his head and continue to
disrespect him. After Jesus is wounded all over, he is sent to

Jesus The Liberator
Fr. Jon Sobrino, in his book Jesus the Liberator, focuses on the historical Jesus in an effort to
highlight the abuses being suffered by the poor and oppressed in Central and South America.
Unfortunately by highlighting the words and actions of the human Jesus and claiming that the
Kingdom of God was particularly meant for the "world of the poor", Sobrino ran afoul of the
Congregation of the Doctrine of Faith (CDF) who believed, among other things, that his argument
somehow failed to affirm the divinity of Jesus the Christ. By focusing on a Christology 'from
below', Sobrino champions the equalizing of an imbalance of Christologies where the focus tends to
be predominantly on the divine and mystical Christ, also known as Christology 'from ... Show more

Most Christian Americans do not find themselves in the category of oppressor the way Jesus thought
of them during His time. We learn from Sobrino that Jesus believed the oppressors to be, "...the rich,
scribes and Pharisees, priests and rulers, as those who hold economic, cultural, religious, and
political power..." (170). Yet, most Christian Americans also do not find themselves in the abject
poverty or oppressive conditions faced by those during Jesus' time and even today in places like
Central and South America, Africa, Asia and the war torn Middle East. Understanding this, Sobrino
clearly points out the need to choose to find solidarity with the poor and oppressed in order to
journey towards the Kingdom of God. As Christians, we understand that we have an obligation to
use our time, talent, and treasure to help do our share in bringing about the Kingdom. What better
way in making use of the attributes than to direct them towards those in most

Jesus Crucifixion
Anthony Liccione once said, "Unto the Cross came death, and unto death came the Cross." This
quote relates to the poem, "The Dream of The Rood" because it talks about the story of how Jesus'
crucifixion. In the poem states, "It seemed to me that I saw a more wonderful tree lifted in the air,
wound round with light, the brightest of beams." This symbolizes that he has stumbled across the
Tree of Life mentioned in the Bible. Adam and Eve ate an apple off this tree even though God had
forbidden it. The tree the poem was glorious on one side with gems and beauty; however, the other
side showed a different face of 'Christ'. The side of judgement and how mankind treated him and
crucified him for living a religion filled life. The poem mentions that the tree was "cut down from
the edge of the wood, ripped up by my roots. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The poem tells the story of what came next, "They pierced me with dark nails; on me are the
wounds visible, the open wounds of malice; I did not dare to injure any of them." These stanzas
explain the nails being inserted into the hands of Jesus Christ; even though, he knew it was possible
for him to end the pain, he endured it insure that the people who followed him even in this moment
would be saved. Jesus hung on the Cross for many, many hours while people laid at his feet for
repentance, just as the man in the poem laid in front of the tree focusing on the sin that he had

Jesus and Moses
According to the book of Matthew, "Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the
king," indicating he was born between 6 and 4 BCE (Matthew 2:1). The Bible refers to this as the
virgin birth because Joseph and Mary never conceived him. He was a human being in which God
took his form. Very little is known about his childhood and the Bible only reveals a picture of Jesus
and his teachings when he was approximately 30 years of age. Whatever happened to Jesus during
these years is a mystery to us all, but whatever happened transformed him into the divine being
which he is today.
Jesus was raised under Judaism and sternly believed in the practices and Jewish customs. In Luke
2:41–52, Luke reveals that Jesus went missing ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The third temptation reveals man's desire for power. In all three, Jesus relied on God, as should his
followers for strength and direction. It is only after this that Jesus uses his true God given powers to
help and convert people.
Jesus began to travel throughout the lands amassing a trusted circle of 13 apostles, the original true
believers in Jesus as the prophet, to spread the word of God. Jesus himself would be the center
piece. His ability to cure the blind and heal the sick created a surreal aurora about him that interested
everybody. My favorite stories occur in Matthew 14 when Jesus feeds 5000 people with one loaf of
bread and one jug of wine. The turning point in Jesus life occurred during this time too when he
walked on water. He did not do this to persuade others or convince them of his god given powers.
He did this for his apostles and his apostles only. He wanted to show them true faith and belief in
God and the power it held. Peter was able to take a few steps towards Jesus, but when he became
fearful and lost his faith, he quickly sank. Jesus responded by telling him, "You of little faith, why
did you doubt" (Matthew 14:31). This moment marks a turning point in the Bible. From here on, the
political workings that would lead to his crucifixion had begun and Jesus knew he was running out
of time.
The greatest moment in Jesus' life is the Transfiguration of Jesus where Peter discovers first hand
Jesus is the true son

Eulogy For Jesus
When I think of the goodness of Jesus of Jesus, and all He has done for me, my very soul cries out
Halleluiah, praise God for saving me.
Today, I want the world to know, I am not ashamed to say, that it is because of You Lord, I live and
have my being.
I thank my mama so much for telling me about the love of Jesus. I want to especially thank you
Gledy and Loretta, for telling me about Salvation and inviting me to Philadelphia on 10 streets
Sinkor, where I accepted Jesus as my personal Savior.
I especially want to say thanks to Archbishop Joel Laurore, for building the foundation of the Word
of God in me, and Bishop Darlingston Johnson and Pastor Nat Friday, for sharing the Word of God

3. Understanding what Jesus did on the Cross for us, and hold fast unto it;
4. Pray without ceasing, pray, pray, pray;
5. Read your Word and study, study, study;
6. Love others with the love of Jesus;
7. I am also learning, people will hurt, and say all manner of evil things about and 95%, they are all
wrong about you, but forgive them anyway, and focus on the most important person in your life, and
that is Jesus.
8. Pray for your children, pray for your families, pray for your country, pray for those in authority,
and pray for those who really hurt you.
Thanks to all who's writing on my page to wish me Happy Birthday today.
May the Grace of God cover you, may He add more years to you with good health, may He protect

Jesus: The Theological Statements Of Jesus Christ
Theological Statements about Christ
In between 4–1 BC a baby called Jesus was born who grow up to be a revolutionary man. He was
the one being with the most influence on earth since, he inspired a new religion and a new lifestyle
in which even now a day many laws are based on. He was not just a human he was also the saviour
the one he claimed to be son of God, the anointed one, the one who gives life, and many other
blessings. All through the bible the humanity, claims he said of who he was are mentioned and his
purpose revealed those his claims.
All throughout the bible it talks about a savior. In the old testament people are anxious for the
messiah to come and save them. In the new testament the savior has arrived but only few believe ...

Jesus did not just demonstrated to be human but he was demonstrated and said that he was what he
claim to be. something he claims to be is eternal and also God of all Jews. In John 8 he said that he
was the "I AM". when looking more in the old testament in Exodus 3: 14 the bush that looks like it
was burning but it actually was not burning, answers Moses question of what his name was which is
"I AM". He claims the same thing again in John 11:1–14 by giving live to Lazarus with that he
shows that he is the owner of life. In John 8: 12 Jesus claims to be the light of the world, because
befor hand he opened the eyes of the blind man. In John 10:7–8 Jesus claims to be the door of
salvation. Which many interpreted that he will be King, but he meant to save them from sin. Also in
John 14:1–14 he makes known that he is the only way to heaven, that statement made him lose
many of his followers. They left him because they believed that by being born into a Jewish family
will give you eternal life in heaven, and not through accepting Jesus as their saviour. In John 10: 11
he claim to be the Good shepherd, which means that we are his sheeps and he guides us. Those are
some of the claims Jesus did about himself.
The bible reveals who jesus really is, he is Human but at the same time he is what he claims to be.
Many do not believe that jesus was a human or that what he claims to be is true, but by the actions
he did it is enough evidence to believe both of them. In each of the claims he mentioned he first
made a miracle or actions that were not common for the people in that time. Even though he did all
does miracles he was still human. He had feelings, physical difficulties and other thing that all
humans face in a daily bases. Jesus is human and everything he claims to

Jesus And Jesus Signs In The Gospel Of Jesus
Although there are many signs throughout the Gospel of John (John 2:1–11), the wedding at Cana
was one of the first signs that Jesus performed within his lifetime. The story beings explaining the
scene, "On the third day there was a wedding in Cana in Galilee, and the mother of Jesus was there.
Jesus and his disciples were also invited to the wedding" (John 2:1–2). Understanding those who
were acquainted with Jesus were all present during the wedding allows for the reader to assume that
this could have been the first sign Jesus was able to show his loving disciples that he truly was the
divine power. Although the disciples of Jesus did believe that he was truly the Messiah, they had not
physically seen an actual miracle to be performed by the divine being. Realizing that not only was
this the first physical sign that Jesus performed to the people of Galilee, but also to his immediate
followers, is an incredible fact that not many take into consideration.
At the beginning of the chapter 2 in the Gospel of John, the mother of Jesus was the first to hold a
converse with the divine being. The wine had ran short for the wedding, enabling the mother of
Jesus to gain a sense of empathy for the bride and groom. This empathy enabled her to tell her son,
"They have no wine" (John 2:3). Jesus responded, "Women, how does your concern affect me? My
hour has not come yet." (John 2:4). The response Jesus gave to his mother was quite unusual. The
typical response to a mother from her son

The people told Jesus to perform a miracle if He wanted them to believe. They told Him that Moses
gave the Israelites manna to eat, saying "The Scriptures say, 'Moses gave them bread from heaven to
eat."
Moses was just a man who had faith in God and tried to follow God's will as best as he could. God
gave the manna, Moses was just the one who told them what it was and how to gather and prepare it.
The people worshiped Moses over God and asked Jesus "What can you do"? They wanted Jesus to
prove He was greater than Moses.
The Israelites who came out of Egypt saw the works of God and the faith of Moses and they still did
not believe. Had Jesus showed these who followed him across the lake a miracle they would have

He tells them that He lives because the living God sent Him and therefore anyone who feeds on Him
will live because of Him.
This can be a hard teaching to understand. What is the "Flesh" of Jesus? What is His "Blood"? To
understand this we have to understand a couple of things.
First, when He says we will live, He is talking about our spirits. Our bodies will face death and
decay. They will be raised one day and glorified, but still they will die. The Scriptures clearly teach
whoever believes will not die but have eternal life.
Our spirits die by being separated from God. We must be fed spiritually in order for our spirits to
live. What do we feed our spirits on? The Word of God. Who is the Word of God? None other than
Jesus. Unless we feast on the Word our spirits will weaken and begin to die.
Now, why must we drink His blood? The Law prohibited the drinking of blood because life is in the
blood. When we drink Christ's blood, we are drinking from the cup of salvation. We are taking His
life inside of us. In other words we are accepting Him as our personal savior. It is by His blood that
was shed that we are cleansed of our

Is Jesus Christ Is Jesus A Feminist?
Jesus was a man who loved all who came to him. From the little children to the oldest of men, Jesus
Christ was not discriminatory to anyone he came across. But when it came to women, the gender
that most people ignored aside from the purpose of procreation, Jesus did not feel any different.
However, was Jesus just showing them the love of God or was he truly on their side? Therefore, if
Jesus truly is who the Bible says He is, then He is a feminist through and through. Firstly, before the
argument of the fact that Jesus Christ was, in fact, a feminist during his limited time on Earth is
made, the definition of feminism should be discussed in its entirety. According to Nancy
Frankenberry, any idea of feminism "...must promote the elimination of gender inequality"
(Frankenberry, "Feminist Philosophy of Religion"). There are multiple types of feminism, branching
anywhere from culture feminism which involves encouraging feminine behavior to radical feminism
which involves getting rid of the concept of gender completely. The type of feminism that Jesus
would most likely associate with would be conservative feminism, which allows Him, by today's
social standards, to continue to believe in biblical values and beliefs while also promoting male and
female equality at the same time. Now that it has been clarified that the Son of God is in fact
conservative in practice but still is able to treat women with respect, it will be easier to explain why
He has such a belief.

The Crucifixion Of Jesus

1800 Century Art of Jesus
This picture of Jesus was created in 1782 and is located in the Church of St. Vincent, Mason. The
artist was David, Jacques–Louis. This picture shows Jesus on the Cross, saving us from sin. This
picture can show Jesus as either divine or human because as we see, Jesus is looking up towards the
heavens, praying to God so he can forgive us. The picture, however, is definitely showing the
Crucifixion/Death of Jesus, which is pretty human. My feelings/attitude towards this painting is that
it is a good way to show Jesus' Crucifixion. We see Jesus nailed to the cross, praying, and we also
see that he is thin. This shows how Jesus didn't have much to eat and relied on others to feed him,
just like the poor. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

saved because he talked to the other man of how they are thieves and that unlike them Jesus has
done nothing wrong. Also, unlike the other painting, this one shows us the people gathered around
Jesus praying and weeping. My feelings/attitude of this painting is no different of the last. However,

Jesus Legacy
Life to Legacy of Jesus
Jesus, born from a virgin astonished people with his understanding at a young age. He would go on
to perform miracles and disciple the word of God through adulthood. Then would leave a legacy that
would affect the world for thousands of years, providing a set of teachings entire countries would
live by. Jesus defined society through miracles, his knowledge and teachings.
Before Jesus was born, he was a miracle "Mary was a virgin when jesus was conceived and that she
was found to be with child from the Holy Spirit" (Jesus). By Mary knowing that she was conceived
by the Holy Spirit, this reinsured their faith and put the on the right path on how to raise Jesus so he
could then later start his ministry. As a young child, around 12, Jesus parents lost him. They found
him in the Temple. "Jesus' parents found him in the temple, asking questions and having discussions

Resurrection Of Jesus
I believe that within the Gospels in the Bible we are able to find a deeper understanding of God's
unbelievable love for us as it discloses God's true purpose for Jesus' life, which is so much more
than just showing us how to be good people. Jesus came to strengthen his understanding. Bruce
Bickel and Stan Jantz said I Knowing the Bible 101: A Guide to God's Word in Plain Language that
"As a man, Christ knew the struggles that we face in our daily lives. He was not immune to
temptation, pain, and sorrow." (p. 220) This was so that God could carry out his plan to save us,
which Bickle and Jantz described like this ""Luke includes this quote of Jesus, which gives the best
statement of His purpose: And I, the Son of Man, have come to seek and save those like him who

I did not know that his ministry had only been done in a 3 year time span, which I find absolutely
astounding. What he was able to accomplish in just 3 years and the legacy he left behind after his

see his resurrection in a new light after the reading this week, because I knew that it was God's plan,
but I never really looked at it as an act of service like described by Bickel and Jantz "Mark
emphasizes Christ's ultimate act of servanthood with the crucifixion." Reading that opened my eyes,

Understanding Jesus
P1. Jesus touchs each of our lives in different ways, his desire for each of us is to know who He
is.Though Jesus would love for each of us to have an insightful persecutive of who he is, the reality
is the perspectives from individuals very. Jesus does not pressure the dynamics of having him as the
ultimate source of our lives, despite the fact he awaits upon us all to proactively invite him into our
lives. The wisdom we formulate around knowing who God is, will establish the characteristics of
how we portray Him."To demonstrate God's love, Jesus defended from the Father and worker
toward his "hour," time of his suffering and death on behalf of the world." P.290 Our efforts of
understanding who Jesus is will determine the standards of how our faith with God will grow.
Eventhough faith is a significant element to the formulation of believing in Christ, proception,
disarmament and impression of Jesus is what will ultimately establish the formation of faith.

The account of this story is that while travelling with his parents to the city of Jerusalem for
Passover. Jesus was inadvertently left behind and was later found among rabbis within a temple
having an in–depth conversation over the Torah. It is said that even as a boy, Jesus was gifted with
immense knowledge and understanding of Jewish traditions, and a well had established a personal
connection with the God. An example of this connection can be witness in his reference through
pray to God as "Abba", which is an Aramaic and Hebrew term for the word Father (Fisher pg. 289).
No further reports are made within the Gospel on the life of Jesus until eighteen years later, at which
point, it is stated that Jesus appears before John the Baptist on the Jordan River seeking baptismal.
At that time, John was calling people to the River for the purpose of repenting their sins and become
sanctified and through immersion in the river they would become spiritually purified. John was
reluctant to perform this ceremony on Jesus, under the premise that he (Jesus) is believed to be
without sin; however, it was Jesus that insisted. One interpretation behind this, as Fisher explains, is
that this was seen as Jesus' "consecration to God as the Messiah" (Fisher pg. 290). An additional
theory offered, is that he (Jesus) was undergoing this ceremony of baptismal on behalf of all
mankind. Lastly, is it said that the baptism was

Jesus Is Jesus The Only Savior?
Analysis
Many today struggle with the Christian teaching that the only way to salvation is through faith in
Jesus Christ. There are a variety of alternatives offered, notably pluralism and inclusivism. In the
second half of his book Is Jesus the Only Savior? Dr. Ronald Nash addresses the teaching of
inclusivism, comparing its claims with the claims of orthodox Christianity and evaluating the merits
of those claims. It is the purpose of this analysis to evaluate his rebuttal of inclusivism as presented
in chapters 7–11 of Is Jesus the Only Savior?.
Dr. Nash approaches this discussion with a masterful command of the subject. He earned a PhD in
Philosophy at Syracuse University, going on to serve as a professor for over forty years. According
to the biographical information given on the back cover of our text, he "served twenty–seven years
as professor of philosophy and department chairperson at Western Kentucky University" and has
authored or edited "more than twenty–five books." In addition, Dr. Nash was professor of
philosophy at both Reformed Theological Seminary and Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.
His wide–ranging scholarship addresses topics such as faith and reason, liberation theology, social
justice, and St. Augustine's theory of knowledge. This background enables Dr. Nash to engage in
this issue with both philosophical clarity and historical perspective. While Dr. Nash does not claim
to be a New Testament scholar, he demonstrates a clear familiarity with the

In Christianity the virgin birth is important so that God can be man and teach us himself to salvation
and the right path of living. Also that Jesus would not be born in sin ,because if Joseph was his
father he would be born through sin and wouldn't be able to die on the cross or wouldn't have taught

This is the atheistic worldly view about the virgin birth.
The biblical or religious views on the virgin birth are very different from each other one believes in
that God exist and the other believes in no God at all. Biblical from the passages from Luke it is
clear that Jesus was born through a virgin birth through the working of the Holy Spirit. How ever
even though jesus was born through the holy spirit he still has human characteristics because he had
a human mother so he adopted from each characteristics from God from the Holy Spirit to human
from Mary.
The purpose of God becoming man was to bring forth salvation of salvation for all of mankind. Paul
said in (1 Timothy 1:15) Christ Jesus came into this world to save sinners. The biblical uses
salvation to be related to redemption and liberation. We read in the book of Exodus that God called
his people out of Egypt and how he saved them from the ruling and harsh treatment of Pharaoh in

Epilogue To Jesus
Good morning brother and sister, I pray all is well with your soul... as we continue on this series on
"Get thee Behind Me, Satan"...here in Luke we see a different biblical story of Jesus fasting and
praying for forty days in the wilderness and Satan came to tempted Him...oh brother and sister we
sometimes think that Jesus temptations were not real because they were not exactly like ours. There
was never a sinful pull or a sinful memory inside of Jesus, like in us. But in many ways, Jesus
temptations were more real and more severe. For us, often times the pressure of temptation only
relents when we give in – and Jesus never did. He had to withstand a much greater pressure of
temptation than you or I ever will....
Oh all of us walk in the spirit, it's good to walk in it... but as you walk, Satan is throwing everything
at you to try and turn you around... but when I was in the world... everything was good... when I was
doing evil and hateful things... life was good...and if I really think about it... I did not see many
temptation...because to me those temptations was a blessing... founding or seeing money/things that
did not belong to me...was a blessing.... seeing someone needing help was better for them than me
attitude...looking at someone walking, while I drive made me smile... oh brother and sister as long it
wasn't me I did not care about you.... so when you're not ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

Jesus used Scripture to battle Satan temptation, not some elaborate spiritual power inaccessible to
us. Jesus fought this battle as a Spirit–filled, Word–of–God–filled man. He drew on no divine
resources that are unavailable to us.... in other word, the same thing that is available to you and me,
Jesus used it on the devil... We effectively resist temptation in the same way Jesus did: filled with
the Holy Spirit, we answer Satan seductive lies by shining the light of Gods truth upon them. If we
are ignorant of Gods truth, we are poorly armed in the fight against

Introduction
The Christ of Christianity made radical claims in regards to his relationship to Judaism. Jesus was
no timid Jewish rabbi. He claimed that he was the fulfillment of the entire Jewish Tanakh! Luke
quotes the Christ as saying, "all things which are written about Me in the Law of Moses and the
Prophets and the Psalms must be fulfilled." (Luke 24:44) Jesus reinterpreted Jewish symbols and re–
applied them to himself. (Wilson, 55) The many followers of Jesus today are still offending Jews by
claiming that the Jewish religion is incomplete and no longer salvific without the incorporation of
the Christ. Modern Jews reject the application of the prophecies ... Show more content on

(Acts 7)
The Tabernacle and the Temple Christians argue that even the Tabernacle of Moses and the Temple
of Solomon testify about Christ. The author of the book of Hebrews tells us why God's patterns for
the Tabernacle were so precise and specific: "Therefore it was necessary for the copies of the things
in the heavens to be cleansed with these, but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices
than these. For Christ did not enter a holy place made with hands, a mere copy of the true one, but
into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us" (Hebrews 9:23–24). The Tabernacle
is a partial reflection of heaven. Evangelist and author, Theodore Epp, illustrates in his book,
Portraits of Christ in the Tabernacle, that every single item and area in the Tabernacle foreshadowed
Christian truths. He bases several connections on the structure of the temple. The open Outer Court,
the semi–restricted Holy Place, and the exclusive Holy of Holies are compared to man's body, soul,
and spirit; Jesus' claim to be the Way, the Truth, and the Life; and the system by which one comes to
approach God. (10–21) One should consider God's intent for the Tabernacle in the first place: "Let
them construct a sanctuary for Me, that I may dwell among them" (Exodus 25:8) The purpose of the
Tabernacle was so that God may have a place to dwell among His people. God could not dwell with
His people unless their sins were atoned for. The

The Historical Jesus, Jesus as Messiah, and Jesus the...
Jesus Christ, the figure who changed history more than any other, did many miracles to show others
that he was God's son. God gave Jesus power over nature, power over disease, and even power over
death. As a young Christian, my knowledge was a little understudied, to say the least. Now, as this
module comes to a close, I realize that I have learned so much! While writing this summary paper, I
intend to discuss my understanding of the historical Jesus, Jesus as the Messiah, and Jesus as the
Personal Savior. About two thousand years ago God arranged the most humiliating circumstances
possible for his incarnation into humanity. Jesus was born to a teenage virgin named Mary and her
husband Joseph.
The Annunciation is the revelation ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
When Mary arrived, Elizabeth's baby leaped in her womb for joy. This confirmed Gabriel's
prophecy that John would have the Holy Spirit even before birth (New Advent, 2006)
Joseph considered calling off the marriage after learning that Mary had conceived. Gabriel appeared
to Joseph in a dream and told him to marry her because the conception was caused by the Holy
Spirit. Joseph took Mary as his wife and kept her a virgin until Jesus was born.
Joseph took Mary to Bethlehem to register for a census. While there, Mary gave birth to Jesus. She
laid him in a manger because there was no room at the inn. Shepards visited Jesus there.
Later, wise men brought gifts to Jesus. They told Herod the Great, a wicked king, that Jesus would
rule Israel. Herod sent soldiers to kill the children in Bethlehem. Warned by an angel, Joseph took
his family to Egypt. After Herod died, they returned to Israel and raised Jesus in a town called
Nazareth. Jesus grew up in Nazareth. The Bible gives us a little information about his childhood.
Jesus was taken to Jerusalem for Passover when he was twelve. He spoke with the teachers at the
Temple, who were amazed at his understanding (Life of Christ, 2006). Joseph was a carpenter, and
taught Jesus the trade. Jesus worked as a carpenter until his ministry began. He was about thirty
years old at the time. Jesus taught people how to live godly lives. As he traveled around Israel, Jesus
taught with sermons and parables. He

The Genealogy Of Jesus
The genealogy of Jesus Christ reveals that he belongs to the House of David, which fulfills God's
promise that the Messiah would come from David's line; this shows readers that Jesus accomplishes
God's covenants and the hopes of the Israelites. The genealogy also links him to Abraham, the
original patriarch and father of the Jews. However, Jesus' genealogy also includes sinners, cheaters,
liars, and other people with questionable backgrounds, reminding readers how Jesus spent time with
similar people in his adulthood. Moreover, these connections convey that Jesus takes the role of the
Suffering Servant, who bears the sins of multitudes, from the very beginning of his life and origins.
The Incarnation is the dogma that God became mortal as Jesus Christ to save the world from its sins;
it illustrates the both fully human and fully divine nature of Jesus Christ. Jesus came as Savior who
would take away the sins of the world. He also came as a symbol of God's love: God sent his only
Son to save humans, conveying how he exists as a loving God. Additionally, Jesus models loving
and holy behavior so that Christians can imitate and therefore become more like him. Finally, the
Incarnation also adopts mortal humans into the divine family through the Holy Spirit. ... Show more

Reflection Of Jesus
Jesus continues to preach. He forbids divorce and advocates chastity, while expounding the virtues
of asceticism. He warns against the pitfalls of wealth, teaches forgiveness, and welcomes children.
In Jerusalem, cheering crowds await him. People "spread their cloaks on the road, and others cut
branches from the trees and spread them on the road" (Matthew 21:8). Upon his arrival in
Jerusalem, Jesus expels money changers from the Jewish temple and defies the chief priests and
elders, saying, "My house shall be called a house of prayer, but you are making it a den of robbers"
(Matthew 21:13). Jesus's action earns him the support of the crowds. He chastises Jewish leaders,
telling them they have been poor caretakers of the temple and that the people have been
hypocritical, focusing on technical legal issues rather than "justice and mercy and faith" (Matthew
23:23). Seeing the wickedness of Jerusalem, and foreseeing God's punishment of the wicked, Jesus
warns his disciples to be prepared for the end of the world. He says that tribulations will precede the
final judgment, but that the Son of man–Jesus himself–will come, and that the righteous will be
saved.
In Chapter 26, Jesus celebrates the Last Supper with the disciples. Jesus indicates that Judas, one of
his disciples, will betray him. Jesus predicts that after his death, the other disciples will flee, and
Peter will also betray him. WhenHe breaks bread and drinks wine with the disciples, Jesus initiates a

Discipleship In Jesus
Discipleship
Teachers around the time when Jesus lived thought that learning was such that the people who
wanted to learn should come to them to be taught. But Jesus felt differently and rather than waiting
for people to come to him, he went out to find them and then chose them to be his followers. He
called them disciples and this word means one who learns. But Jesus chose his disciples carefully as
we are told in Mark 1:16–20 and also in Mark 3:13–19. In the first passage, Jesus appoints his first
four disciples, Simon, Andrew, James and John. Jesus said to them "Come, follow me, and I will
make you fishers of men." (Mark 1:17) In Mark 2:13–17, Jesus calls up the fifth disciple, Levi who
was a tax collector, and Jesus later renamed him ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
They have to rely on other people and as it is said in Morley's passage on discipleship, "For they set
out with nothing but the word of God in their hearts."
When Jesus tells the disciples about the cost of discipleship (Mark 8:27–33) he means that they
should be prepared to put God and his commandments first before anything else, and they must be
prepared to suffer for their beliefs. Jesus told them that the most important commandment is "Love
God and your neighbour as yourself," (Exodus 20: 3–17) and many disciples throughout the ages
have made many sacrifices to try and put this teaching into practise. When Jesus said to take up the
cross, we can assume that because we all have a cross to bear, we should take up our vocation, and
that means for us to follow Jesus regardless of the sacrifices we have to make. When we are told we
should follow him, it means that we should travel down the same road as Jesus and suffer the many
trials of being a disciple.
But, in Mark 10:29–31 we are told about the rewards of discipleship and the strange reward they
receive for their suffering. Jesus says this to the disciples after he tells them the story of the Rich
Young Man.
In this passage, the rich young man asks Jesus what he must do to inherit eternal life. Jesus tells him
that he must give up his wealth, but the man is unable to do so. The

cannot be proclaimed "cold turkey" just straight out of the blue.
Martin Kahler in a famous aphorism claimed that Mark is "a passion narrative with an extended
introduction." However it is a necessary introduction. It is the milk before the solid food. If Mark
had began with Peter's declaration at chapter 8 it would ring hollow. The first eight chapters allow us
to see, as Peter saw, through Jesus' teaching, healing, exorcisms, and preaching that there was
something much more than an amazing authoritative, divine man. These introductory

Scriptures and Jesus' own personal testimony and prophecies (Matthew 16:21; 20:17), they still did
not understand, at least in the beginning. But how quickly that confusion and bewilderment turned
to joy after their eyes were opened. When I became a true follower of Jesus many years ago, I can

the same joy Jesus' followers experienced after the resurrection.

The Gospel Of Matthew's Jesus: The Story Of Jesus
In antiquity, when many Jews would convert into Christianity, the Gospel of Matthew was written.
As the first book to start the New Testament, the Gospel of Matthew uses a different style as it was
written with the perspective from a Jew. Matthew uses this unique perspective on Jesus as a chance
to tell the story of who Jesus is and why he is important. In doing so, Matthew's biography of Jesus
convincingly presents Jesus as the promised Messiah, the Son of God. The Gospel of Matthew is
consistent in both the theme and the perspective of Jesus as the divine deliverer, appointed by God
the father. Indeed, Matthew validates that Jesus is the Christ; the prophesied Savior. Matthew begins
with the genealogy of Jesus in order to depict that Jesus ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The reality that Jesus has risen from the dead had been denied, which would argue that Jesus was
not a divine Messiah. The well–known argument for this phenomenon was that Jesus' disciples
simply "came by night and stole him away while we were asleep." (Matthew 28:13). With the
disciples stealing the body of Jesus, they could execute a lie and claim that the resurrection had truly
happened. To resolve this, Matthew purposefully mentions the "plan to give a large sum of money to
the soldier" to convince them to cover up the fact of Jesus' resurrection. (Matthew 28:12). This verse
is powerful because it indicates that the tomb was truly empty. Instead of the Jews denying that the
tomb was empty, they decided to come up with an explanation as to how this phenomenon occurred.
By mentioning the argument that the disciples have stolen the body only confirmed the significant
truth that the tomb was empty. Furthermore, Matthew resolves the theory that Jesus' disciples have
stolen the body, as Matthew expresses that Pilate gave an order to secure the burial of Jesus and sent
a "guard of soldiers; go, make it as secure as you can. So they went with the guard and made the
tomb secure by sealing the stone." (Matthew 27:65–66). Matthew illustrates that every possible
precaution was taken in order to prevent an enactment of a resurrection. The large number of
soldiers placed

In the next few verses I want us to see the contrast between Judas' betrayal and the graciousness of

Of all of the issues that confront both Judaism and Christians, the most divisive is the question
surrounding the messiahship of Jesus. The undergirding principle of Christianity is that Jesus is the
Christ. Christians believe that Jesus is the Messiah; the deliverer prophesied by the Jewish prophets

and perhaps other small segments do not believe the Messiah has come. With such a theological gap,

Jesus In The Bible: Who Was Jesus
Question #1 – Who was Jesus? Jesus was a great teacher who came to help us live better lives.
There are many accounts of this in the Gospels where Jesus' teaches his people. We learn about
Jesus in the Gospels from his birth, death, resurrection, and everything in between. Other than his
teachings in the Gospels, we see miracles that he has done like healing a leper and a paralyzed man,
or feeding 5,000 people with just two fish and five loaves of bread. We can learn a lot about Jesus
from names he is given like Messiah for example. Messiah is used many times in the Bible and it
means "anointed one." The Jewish people expected God to send a Messiah to help them with their
problems and this would be Jesus. By knowing the meaning of Messiah,

Jesus ' Ministry On Jesus And His Disciples
4. Commentary.
8:27.While Mark has been clearly focusing on Jesus' ministry in Galilee where his authority was
exhibited in his teaching and the miraculous, he now transits by altering his scene of action from
Galilee to the 'the way' to Jerusalem via Caesarea Philippi. The construction 'Jesus and his disciples'
is not frequently employed by the author especially when reporting on Jesus' journeying episodes.
Often times he renders the verbal form in singular when referring to Jesus alone or the third person
plural 'they' for both Jesus and his disciples . This pointing is significant for it marks a turning point
on what is to follow. This path is exclusively Jesus' as it will climax with Jesus alone at the cross
when all his disciples will have deserted him.
With his disciples, he journeys into the Caesarea Philippi. This is significant geographical shift for
most of Jesus' ministry had been in Galilee. He now goes north east of Bethsaida, into a popularly
Hellenistic city. At the territorial border exiting into non–Jewish territory. It is a city that was built
by Philip and named after Roman emperor and Herod Antipas's brother Philip. It had long been a
center of Pagan worship and prominently a site for emperor worship . Importantly it was a city for
political rulers. The significance of Jesus choice to visit this city has been highly disputed by various
scholars. Stain argues that, "this geographical designation must be a historical reminiscence since

The Leadership of Jesus
The Leadership of Jesus
The question of whether leaders are born or can be taught is one that is common in leadership
discussions. My personal opinion is that leaders can be taught, and should be taught by studying the
principles and practices by which our history's most effective leaders led. Furthermore; it is
important to realize that leadership through hierarchies is quickly becoming inferior to leadership
through service and having a joint vision shared by all those affected by this leader. Jesus was such a
leader; a servant leader. Jesus said, "whoever wants to become great among you must be your
servant, and whoever wants to be first must be your slave— just as the Son of Man did not come to

Be on your guard against all kinds of greed; a man's life does not consist in the abundance of his
possessions" (Luke 12:15). Jesus was a strategic and convincing teacher because he offered hope to
those who had none, but made His followers aware of the dangers of putting ourselves and our
possessions ahead of God. Jesus was a great strategist and this can clearly be seen by the vastness of
the movement that he started. From the very beginning, Jesus was committed to training the leaders
who would continue to spread his message long after his death. Jesus realized the importance in
focusing on his disciples and teaching them the very details of his personal values and lifestyle.
Jesus could surely reach more people by sending out his disciples to spread his message, but he also
"appointed seventy–two others and sent them two by two ahead of him to every town and place
where he was about to go" (Luke 10:1) this was an excellent strategy in order to make people aware
of his arrival. However, it was also a strategy to teach his followers to have confidence in him; he
tells them: "he who listens to you listens to me; he who rejects you rejects me; but he who rejects
me rejects him who sent me" and when the seventy–two returned and told him, "Lord, even the
demons submit to us in your name", Jesus replied, "do not rejoice that the spirits submit to you, but
rejoice that your names are written in heaven" (Luke 10:16–20). Jesus

The illumination that occurs with the archeological data is a deeper understanding of the history of
those who were like Jesus–the lower–middle class, not so well off citizens. This deeper
understanding of the way in which life was lived, the structures in which they resided, the
consequences of outside Greco–Roman influence, and the overall culture of this place brings into
focus the birth, the life, and the death of Jesus. By understanding that Jesus was as Magness states,
"...Jesus likely was a native Galilean–that is, a person of mixed origins whose family had been
Judaized by the Hasmoneans approximately a century before his time," (Magness pg 194). Which is
to say that the fluidity of one culture i.e. Greco–roman... would be mixed with those around the area
and created a community of people with beliefs and ways of living that differed from those outside
the communities during this time and were shared–like urban centers today, such as Chicago with a
mixture of both standard American culture, outside cultures, and those who dwell within both. This
conclusion can be reached through the explanation of the varying gospel accounts of the birth of

Jesus Of Nazareth: Does Jesus Exist?
In the modern age many people no longer believe in Jesus Christ. They claim that modern science
and historical data disproves Jesus. In fact, this just is the opposite. Most scholars do not doubt that
Jesus of Nazareth existed, but it is His divinity that they doubt. By looking at historical documents
and using basic reason one can see that Jesus Christ did exist, and through His actions we can see
that he was divine. To find a census of any kind from the first century is quite the daunting task, so
to find The man that was Jesus of Nazareth we can look to of course the gospels but also the church
fathers and even some Roman scholars from the time period to help make the case for Christ
existence. Tacitus a Roman senator and historian discusses Jesus as being the beginner of the

We have actual documentation of Pontius Pilates governorship of Judaea from 26–36 C.E. and many
scholars place Jesus Christ death at around 29 C.E. So to refute Tacitus would be absurd because of
how close to the time of Jesus he lived and would have had up to date records on all things the
Roman government would have done such as executions. Now that we have sound evidence of Jesus
Christ life and death we can look at the gospels and what they have to say about Jesus. Now that we
have external reasons to believe Jesus existed we can look internally at his life. The best and clearest
sources of Jesus' life come from the gospels, however theories and beliefs have risen to try and
"debunk" the gospels of being credible. One such theory is the idea that the gospels were originally
anonymous and only a century or so later given names to show credibility. First off I would like to

summarized as follows: a man named Joseph, from Arimathea, went to Pilate and asked for the body
of Jesus, which was then given to him. Joseph took the body of Jesus, wrapped it in linen, and laid it
in an unused tomb. Further details, which are attested to in three of the gospels, include the facts that
the tomb was new (Matt. 27:60, Luke 23:53, John 19:41); it was cut from stone or rock (Matt.
27:60, Mark 15:46, Luke 23:53); and women observed the burial (Matt. 27:61; Mark 15:47; Luke
23:55). Joseph of Arimathea receives no other mention ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Jesus Change

  • 1. Jesus Change During class time, we learned about Jesus's impact on people. Many people were changed a lot. They became kinder and more friendly. We could see this through people's reactions to God and the good things they did. Through Jesus's teaching, not only Paul and people in the Bible, but every Christian is becoming better people. Among all the apostles, the change from Saul to Paul is the most amazing one for me. The name "Saul" was once a deadly word for the citizens under Saul's control. He hated Christians at first. He arrested and even killed a lot of apostles. Evil and cruel are the two words that best described him. He was a demon before he was changed by Jesus. In Acts 9, Saul was completely changed. When he went into the city of Damascus, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... When Jesus appeared in front of him and told him that he needed to save Saul, he hesitated. His hesitation reflected the evilness of Saul. God chose Ananias because of his pure faith. The evilness that stopped a faithful apostle from obeying God's order must be huge. It indirectly showed how bad Saul was and how huge the change was as well. The reaction of Ananias is an important element in here. Saul's changes were unbelievable. He was such an evil killer three days ago. No one could imagine that three days later, he became a true believer of Jesus. Jesus purified his soul. This made him act like a savior. All the sins were washed away. He became a faithful follower in Jesus and God. The bible talked a lot about his faith after being healed. In Acts 21, Paul was arrested by the Jews. He was with the people that grabbed him. After he turned to Jesus, he showed his faith towards God. He could have been with the persecutors and keep looking for Christians. However, he gave up the life he was used to and changed all his characteristics. Acts 22 described the things he did after he was released. He said, "I was very serious about serving God, the same as all of you here today." (Acts 22:3) He stood in front of the people that wanted to kill him several minutes ... • 2. Jesus Resurrection The New Testament is not the only sacred book that gives an account of the resurrection. The Quran, Islam's holy scripture, tells of the arrest, crucifixion, and resurrection, but if differs in no small way from the biblical account. In Surah 4:157–8 the Quran sates: And for saying, "we killed (the Messiah) Jesus, son of Mary," the messenger of God. They never killed him, they never crucified him–they were made to think that they did. All factions are full of doubt concerning this issue. They possess no knowledge; they only conjecture. For certain, they never killed. Instead, God raised Him to Him; God is Almighty, most wise. (Authorized English Version). The events surrounding Jesus' resurrection can be difficult to piece together. We must ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Second, the writers of the Gospels did not attempt an exhaustive narrative; in other words, Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John had no intention of telling us every detail of the resurrection or every event in the order that it happened. In the battle with skeptics regarding Jesus' resurrection, Christians are in a "no–win" situation. If the resurrection accounts harmonize perfectly, skeptics will claim that the writers of the Gospels conspired together. If the resurrection accounts have some differences, skeptics will claim that the Gospels contradict each other and therefore cannot be trusted. It is our contention that the resurrection accounts can be harmonized and do not contradict each other. Islam teaches that Jesus never died but was assumed into heaven. There are a couple of variations explaining the mechanics of this. One version has the soul of Jesus departing from the body before the torture and execution. According to the footnote in the Authorized English Version of the Quran quoted above, "his enemies tortured and crucified his living, but empty body." 48 thus, Jesus was assumed into heaven, but His soul–less body was left on earth to be ... • 3. Jesus In Pilate It is a tempestuous and perilous time in the Roman Empire. Nowhere more so than in the Roman occupied city, Jerusalem. The holy city teems with pilgrims for the springtime fete of Passover; decades of violent resistance have tightened the iron grip of the Roman governor, Pontus Pilate. Myriad messiahs have endeavored to free the Jewish people from the yoke of Roman oppression. All have failed. Into the powder keg rides Yeshua of Nazareth, known today as Jesus Christ. Accompanied by a group of armed followers, Jesus strides into the court of the Gentiles and attacks the center of religious and commercial life, overturning tables and driving the sacrificial animals out. As Roman law dictates, Pilate crucifies Jesus for his zealous disruption ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... His book reads like a novel. A graceful, entertaining narrative designed to present the public with a simplified picture of ancient Palestine and early Christianity. The book does not even look like an academic work of historical analysis. Zealot is absent of footnotes, settling for an extended notes section towards the end of the book. In the text, he picks his sources with a selective bias. When proving his point, Aslan pulls one quote from the gospels as evidence, but neglects legitimate sources that conflict with or repudiate his argument. This is exampled in Aslan's analysis of the kingdom of God. He argues that Jesus's kingdom of God calls for violent action against any who don't support it. To verify this, he refers to the especially violent Parable of the Great Supper in Matthew 22.2: "The Kingdom of God in Jesus's teachings...is at once the joyous wedding feast within the king's royal hall, and the blood soaked streets outside its walls." (124) However, he fails to recognize the same parable in Luke, which does not possess the violent passages Mark has. Many Jesus scholars would have acknowledged this as Matthean redaction – a popular belief of Jesus scholars that suggests Matthew edited certain parts of the Q gospel. As a scholar of Religions, Aslan must have known about Matthean redaction. Yet, he doesn't include it in his ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. Barabbas And Jesus In this passage by Mark, Pilate asks the crowd of people who they wanted free: Jesus or Barabbas. Barabbas is a prisoner with murderers. Pilate asks the crowd if they wanted the Jesus, the King of the Jews, freed. The chief priests were jealous at the time of Jesus' religious recognition and how much he was celebrated. Therefore, they brainwashed the crowds into rejecting Pilate's offer and saying "Crucify him!" even though there is no reason to do so. Pilate does not want to risk his fame and appreciation from society, so he frees Barabbas the prisoner and sends Jesus to die. Jesus is tortured and mocked by the soldiers. They place a crown of thorns on his head and continue to disrespect him. After Jesus is wounded all over, he is sent to ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 5. Jesus The Liberator Fr. Jon Sobrino, in his book Jesus the Liberator, focuses on the historical Jesus in an effort to highlight the abuses being suffered by the poor and oppressed in Central and South America. Unfortunately by highlighting the words and actions of the human Jesus and claiming that the Kingdom of God was particularly meant for the "world of the poor", Sobrino ran afoul of the Congregation of the Doctrine of Faith (CDF) who believed, among other things, that his argument somehow failed to affirm the divinity of Jesus the Christ. By focusing on a Christology 'from below', Sobrino champions the equalizing of an imbalance of Christologies where the focus tends to be predominantly on the divine and mystical Christ, also known as Christology 'from ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Most Christian Americans do not find themselves in the category of oppressor the way Jesus thought of them during His time. We learn from Sobrino that Jesus believed the oppressors to be, "...the rich, scribes and Pharisees, priests and rulers, as those who hold economic, cultural, religious, and political power..." (170). Yet, most Christian Americans also do not find themselves in the abject poverty or oppressive conditions faced by those during Jesus' time and even today in places like Central and South America, Africa, Asia and the war torn Middle East. Understanding this, Sobrino clearly points out the need to choose to find solidarity with the poor and oppressed in order to journey towards the Kingdom of God. As Christians, we understand that we have an obligation to use our time, talent, and treasure to help do our share in bringing about the Kingdom. What better way in making use of the attributes than to direct them towards those in most ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 6. Jesus Crucifixion Anthony Liccione once said, "Unto the Cross came death, and unto death came the Cross." This quote relates to the poem, "The Dream of The Rood" because it talks about the story of how Jesus' crucifixion. In the poem states, "It seemed to me that I saw a more wonderful tree lifted in the air, wound round with light, the brightest of beams." This symbolizes that he has stumbled across the Tree of Life mentioned in the Bible. Adam and Eve ate an apple off this tree even though God had forbidden it. The tree the poem was glorious on one side with gems and beauty; however, the other side showed a different face of 'Christ'. The side of judgement and how mankind treated him and crucified him for living a religion filled life. The poem mentions that the tree was "cut down from the edge of the wood, ripped up by my roots. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The poem tells the story of what came next, "They pierced me with dark nails; on me are the wounds visible, the open wounds of malice; I did not dare to injure any of them." These stanzas explain the nails being inserted into the hands of Jesus Christ; even though, he knew it was possible for him to end the pain, he endured it insure that the people who followed him even in this moment would be saved. Jesus hung on the Cross for many, many hours while people laid at his feet for repentance, just as the man in the poem laid in front of the tree focusing on the sin that he had committed in his ... • 7. Jesus and Moses According to the book of Matthew, "Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king," indicating he was born between 6 and 4 BCE (Matthew 2:1). The Bible refers to this as the virgin birth because Joseph and Mary never conceived him. He was a human being in which God took his form. Very little is known about his childhood and the Bible only reveals a picture of Jesus and his teachings when he was approximately 30 years of age. Whatever happened to Jesus during these years is a mystery to us all, but whatever happened transformed him into the divine being which he is today. Jesus was raised under Judaism and sternly believed in the practices and Jewish customs. In Luke 2:41–52, Luke reveals that Jesus went missing ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The third temptation reveals man's desire for power. In all three, Jesus relied on God, as should his followers for strength and direction. It is only after this that Jesus uses his true God given powers to help and convert people. Jesus began to travel throughout the lands amassing a trusted circle of 13 apostles, the original true believers in Jesus as the prophet, to spread the word of God. Jesus himself would be the center piece. His ability to cure the blind and heal the sick created a surreal aurora about him that interested everybody. My favorite stories occur in Matthew 14 when Jesus feeds 5000 people with one loaf of bread and one jug of wine. The turning point in Jesus life occurred during this time too when he walked on water. He did not do this to persuade others or convince them of his god given powers. He did this for his apostles and his apostles only. He wanted to show them true faith and belief in God and the power it held. Peter was able to take a few steps towards Jesus, but when he became fearful and lost his faith, he quickly sank. Jesus responded by telling him, "You of little faith, why did you doubt" (Matthew 14:31). This moment marks a turning point in the Bible. From here on, the political workings that would lead to his crucifixion had begun and Jesus knew he was running out of time. The greatest moment in Jesus' life is the Transfiguration of Jesus where Peter discovers first hand Jesus is the true son ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Read your Word and study, study, study; 6. Love others with the love of Jesus; 7. I am also learning, people will hurt, and say all manner of evil things about and 95%, they are all wrong about you, but forgive them anyway, and focus on the most important person in your life, and that is Jesus. 8. Pray for your children, pray for your families, pray for your country, pray for those in authority, and pray for those who really hurt you. He was the one being with the most influence on earth since, he inspired a new religion and a new lifestyle in which even now a day many laws are based on. He was not just a human he was also the saviour the one he claimed to be son of God, the anointed one, the one who gives life, and many other blessings. All through the bible the humanity, claims he said of who he was are mentioned and his purpose revealed those his claims. All throughout the bible it talks about a savior. He claims the same thing again in John 11:1–14 by giving live to Lazarus with that he shows that he is the owner of life. In John 8: 12 Jesus claims to be the light of the world, because befor hand he opened the eyes of the blind man. In John 10:7–8 Jesus claims to be the door of salvation. Which many interpreted that he will be King, but he meant to save them from sin. Also in John 14:1–14 he makes known that he is the only way to heaven, that statement made him lose many of his followers. They left him because they believed that by being born into a Jewish family will give you eternal life in heaven, and not through accepting Jesus as their saviour. In John 10: 11 he claim to be the Good shepherd, which means that we are his sheeps and he guides us. Those are some of the claims Jesus did about himself. The bible reveals who jesus really is, he is Human but at the same time he is what he claims to be. Many do not believe that jesus was a human or that what he claims to be is true, but by the actions he did it is enough evidence to believe both of them. In each of the claims he mentioned he first made a miracle or actions that were not common for the people in that time. Even though he did all does miracles he was still human. • 10. Jesus And Jesus Signs In The Gospel Of Jesus Although there are many signs throughout the Gospel of John (John 2:1–11), the wedding at Cana was one of the first signs that Jesus performed within his lifetime. The story beings explaining the scene, "On the third day there was a wedding in Cana in Galilee, and the mother of Jesus was there. Jesus and his disciples were also invited to the wedding" (John 2:1–2). Understanding those who were acquainted with Jesus were all present during the wedding allows for the reader to assume that this could have been the first sign Jesus was able to show his loving disciples that he truly was the divine power. Although the disciples of Jesus did believe that he was truly the Messiah, they had not physically seen an actual miracle to be performed by the divine being. Realizing that not only was this the first physical sign that Jesus performed to the people of Galilee, but also to his immediate followers, is an incredible fact that not many take into consideration. At the beginning of the chapter 2 in the Gospel of John, the mother of Jesus was the first to hold a converse with the divine being. The wine had ran short for the wedding, enabling the mother of Jesus to gain a sense of empathy for the bride and groom. This empathy enabled her to tell her son, "They have no wine" (John 2:3). Jesus responded, "Women, how does your concern affect me? My hour has not come yet." (John 2:4). The response Jesus gave to his mother was quite unusual. The typical response to a mother from her son ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

They told Him that Moses gave the Israelites manna to eat, saying "The Scriptures say, 'Moses gave them bread from heaven to eat." Moses was just a man who had faith in God and tried to follow God's will as best as he could. God gave the manna, Moses was just the one who told them what it was and how to gather and prepare it. The people worshiped Moses over God and asked Jesus "What can you do"? They wanted Jesus to prove He was greater than Moses. He tells them that He lives because the living God sent Him and therefore anyone who feeds on Him will live because of Him. This can be a hard teaching to understand. What is the "Flesh" of Jesus? What is His "Blood"? To understand this we have to understand a couple of things. First, when He says we will live, He is talking about our spirits. Our bodies will face death and decay. They will be raised one day and glorified, but still they will die. The Scriptures clearly teach whoever believes will not die but have eternal life. Our spirits die by being separated from God. We must be fed spiritually in order for our spirits to live. What do we feed our spirits on? The Word of God. Who is the Word of God? None other than Jesus. Unless we feast on the Word our spirits will weaken and begin to die. Now, why must we drink His blood? The Law prohibited the drinking of blood because life is in the blood. When we drink Christ's blood, we are drinking from the cup of salvation. We are taking His life inside of us. In other words we are accepting Him as our personal savior. • 12. Is Jesus Christ Is Jesus A Feminist? Jesus was a man who loved all who came to him. From the little children to the oldest of men, Jesus Christ was not discriminatory to anyone he came across. But when it came to women, the gender that most people ignored aside from the purpose of procreation, Jesus did not feel any different. However, was Jesus just showing them the love of God or was he truly on their side? Therefore, if Jesus truly is who the Bible says He is, then He is a feminist through and through. Firstly, before the argument of the fact that Jesus Christ was, in fact, a feminist during his limited time on Earth is made, the definition of feminism should be discussed in its entirety. According to Nancy Frankenberry, any idea of feminism "...must promote the elimination of gender inequality" (Frankenberry, "Feminist Philosophy of Religion"). There are multiple types of feminism, branching anywhere from culture feminism which involves encouraging feminine behavior to radical feminism which involves getting rid of the concept of gender completely. The type of feminism that Jesus would most likely associate with would be conservative feminism, which allows Him, by today's social standards, to continue to believe in biblical values and beliefs while also promoting male and female equality at the same time. Now that it has been clarified that the Son of God is in fact conservative in practice but still is able to treat women with respect, it will be easier to explain why He has such a belief. The artist was David, Jacques–Louis. This picture shows Jesus on the Cross, saving us from sin. This picture can show Jesus as either divine or human because as we see, Jesus is looking up towards the heavens, praying to God so he can forgive us. The picture, however, is definitely showing the Crucifixion/Death of Jesus, which is pretty human. My feelings/attitude towards this painting is that it is a good way to show Jesus' Crucifixion. We see Jesus nailed to the cross, praying, and we also see that he is thin. This shows how Jesus didn't have much to eat and relied on others to feed him, just like the poor. ... John was reluctant to perform this ceremony on Jesus, under the premise that he (Jesus) is believed to be without sin; however, it was Jesus that insisted. There are a variety of alternatives offered, notably pluralism and inclusivism. In the second half of his book Is Jesus the Only Savior? Dr. Ronald Nash addresses the teaching of inclusivism, comparing its claims with the claims of orthodox Christianity and evaluating the merits of those claims. It is the purpose of this analysis to evaluate his rebuttal of inclusivism as presented in chapters 7–11 of Is Jesus the Only Savior?. Dr. Nash approaches this discussion with a masterful command of the subject. He earned a PhD in Philosophy at Syracuse University, going on to serve as a professor for over forty years. According to the biographical information given on the back cover of our text, he "served twenty–seven years as professor of philosophy and department chairperson at Western Kentucky University" and has authored or edited "more than twenty–five books." In addition, Dr. Nash was professor of philosophy at both Reformed Theological Seminary and Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. His wide–ranging scholarship addresses topics such as faith and reason, liberation theology, social justice, and St. Augustine's theory of knowledge. The author of the book of Hebrews tells us why God's patterns for the Tabernacle were so precise and specific: "Therefore it was necessary for the copies of the things in the heavens to be cleansed with these, but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these. For Christ did not enter a holy place made with hands, a mere copy of the true one, but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us" (Hebrews 9:23–24). The Tabernacle is a partial reflection of heaven. Evangelist and author, Theodore Epp, illustrates in his book, Portraits of Christ in the Tabernacle, that every single item and area in the Tabernacle foreshadowed Christian truths. He bases several connections on the structure of the temple. The open Outer Court, the semi–restricted Holy Place, and the exclusive Holy of Holies are compared to man's body, soul, and spirit; Jesus' claim to be the Way, the Truth, and the Life; and the system by which one comes to approach God. Gabriel appeared to Joseph in a dream and told him to marry her because the conception was caused by the Holy Spirit. Joseph took Mary as his wife and kept her a virgin until Jesus was born. Joseph took Mary to Bethlehem to register for a census. While there, Mary gave birth to Jesus. She laid him in a manger because there was no room at the inn. Shepards visited Jesus there. The Genealogy Of Jesus The genealogy of Jesus Christ reveals that he belongs to the House of David, which fulfills God's promise that the Messiah would come from David's line; this shows readers that Jesus accomplishes God's covenants and the hopes of the Israelites. The genealogy also links him to Abraham, the original patriarch and father of the Jews. However, Jesus' genealogy also includes sinners, cheaters, liars, and other people with questionable backgrounds, reminding readers how Jesus spent time with similar people in his adulthood. Moreover, these connections convey that Jesus takes the role of the Suffering Servant, who bears the sins of multitudes, from the very beginning of his life and origins. The Incarnation is the dogma that God became mortal as Jesus Christ to save the world from its sins; it illustrates the both fully human and fully divine nature of Jesus Christ. Jesus came as Savior who would take away the sins of the world. He also came as a symbol of God's love: God sent his only Son to save humans, conveying how he exists as a loving God. He warns against the pitfalls of wealth, teaches forgiveness, and welcomes children. In Jerusalem, cheering crowds await him. People "spread their cloaks on the road, and others cut branches from the trees and spread them on the road" (Matthew 21:8). Upon his arrival in Jerusalem, Jesus expels money changers from the Jewish temple and defies the chief priests and elders, saying, "My house shall be called a house of prayer, but you are making it a den of robbers" (Matthew 21:13). Jesus's action earns him the support of the crowds. He chastises Jewish leaders, telling them they have been poor caretakers of the temple and that the people have been hypocritical, focusing on technical legal issues rather than "justice and mercy and faith" (Matthew 23:23). He called them disciples and this word means one who learns. But Jesus chose his disciples carefully as we are told in Mark 1:16–20 and also in Mark 3:13–19. They have to rely on other people and as it is said in Morley's passage on discipleship, "For they set out with nothing but the word of God in their hearts." When Jesus tells the disciples about the cost of discipleship (Mark 8:27–33) he means that they should be prepared to put God and his commandments first before anything else, and they must be prepared to suffer for their beliefs. Jesus told them that the most important commandment is "Love God and your neighbour as yourself," (Exodus 20: 3–17) and many disciples throughout the ages have made many sacrifices to try and put this teaching into practise. When Jesus said to take up the cross, we can assume that because we all have a cross to bear, we should take up our vocation, and that means for us to follow Jesus regardless of the sacrifices we have to make. When we are told we should follow him, it means that we should travel down the same road as Jesus and suffer the many trials of being a disciple. But, in Mark 10:29–31 we are told about the rewards of discipleship and the strange reward they receive for their suffering. Jesus says this to the disciples after he tells them the story of the Rich Young Man. In this passage, the rich young man asks Jesus what he must do to inherit eternal life. Jesus tells him that he must give up his wealth, but the man is unable to do so. The ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 28. Jesus Identity The identity of Jesus 1 Corinthians 3:2 "I gave you milk, not solid food, for you were not yet ready for it." Understanding the true nature and identity of Jesus is a process, a journey, a lifelong commitment. It cannot be proclaimed "cold turkey" just straight out of the blue. Martin Kahler in a famous aphorism claimed that Mark is "a passion narrative with an extended introduction." However it is a necessary introduction. It is the milk before the solid food. If Mark had began with Peter's declaration at chapter 8 it would ring hollow. The first eight chapters allow us to see, as Peter saw, through Jesus' teaching, healing, exorcisms, and preaching that there was something much more than an amazing authoritative, divine man. • 29. The Resurrection Of Jesus Overall, the events of the resurrection must have been a period of great confusion and bewilderment to Jesus' followers. Even though Jesus' followers had knowledge of the resurrection from the Scriptures and Jesus' own personal testimony and prophecies (Matthew 16:21; 20:17), they still did not understand, at least in the beginning. But how quickly that confusion and bewilderment turned to joy after their eyes were opened. When I became a true follower of Jesus many years ago, I can remember the joy that I felt in having my eyes opened. I like to think that the joy I experienced was the same joy Jesus' followers experienced after the resurrection. Unfortunately, there are not many details concerning the actual resurrection. • 30. The Gospel Of Matthew's Jesus: The Story Of Jesus In antiquity, when many Jews would convert into Christianity, the Gospel of Matthew was written. As the first book to start the New Testament, the Gospel of Matthew uses a different style as it was written with the perspective from a Jew. Matthew uses this unique perspective on Jesus as a chance to tell the story of who Jesus is and why he is important. In doing so, Matthew's biography of Jesus convincingly presents Jesus as the promised Messiah, the Son of God. The Gospel of Matthew is consistent in both the theme and the perspective of Jesus as the divine deliverer, appointed by God the father. Indeed, Matthew validates that Jesus is the Christ; the prophesied Savior. Matthew begins with the genealogy of Jesus in order to depict that Jesus ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The reality that Jesus has risen from the dead had been denied, which would argue that Jesus was not a divine Messiah. The well–known argument for this phenomenon was that Jesus' disciples simply "came by night and stole him away while we were asleep." (Matthew 28:13). With the disciples stealing the body of Jesus, they could execute a lie and claim that the resurrection had truly happened. To resolve this, Matthew purposefully mentions the "plan to give a large sum of money to the soldier" to convince them to cover up the fact of Jesus' resurrection. (Matthew 28:12). This verse is powerful because it indicates that the tomb was truly empty. Instead of the Jews denying that the tomb was empty, they decided to come up with an explanation as to how this phenomenon occurred. By mentioning the argument that the disciples have stolen the body only confirmed the significant truth that the tomb was empty. Furthermore, Matthew resolves the theory that Jesus' disciples have stolen the body, as Matthew expresses that Pilate gave an order to secure the burial of Jesus and sent a "guard of soldiers; go, make it as secure as you can. So they went with the guard and made the tomb secure by sealing the stone." (Matthew 27:65–66). Matthew illustrates that every possible precaution was taken in order to prevent an enactment of a resurrection. The large number of soldiers placed ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 31. Close To Jesus How involved can a person be in ministry and still do not have a personal relationship with Jesus? How close can someone be to Jesus and still not know Him? How close can someone be to the truth and still do not believe it? How close can someone be to the gospel and still do not accept it? How close can someone be to heaven and still not go in? How close can someone be to Jesus and then give his heart to the devil? How much can you know about Jesus and still do not know Him. We find the answer in Judas. Judas was one of the twelve disciples, he did ministry with Jesus, He ate with Him, he traveled with Him, and he served with Him. He preached the Word and handled the financial affairs of the group, yet in spite of his close access and personal ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... When Jesus uses the word "truly" remember it's a strong affirmation of what He is about to say. It means it is the truth. In the next few verses I want us to see the contrast between Judas' betrayal and the graciousness of Jesus. The fact that Jesus makes this shocking comment indicates that He is not taken by surprise at His impending betrayal. • 32. The Messiahship Of Jesus 4 Assignment 1 Discussion Week Summarize the basic elements and how Jewish culture and Christians might engage each other on these issues: The Messiahship of Jesus? Of all of the issues that confront both Judaism and Christians, the most divisive is the question surrounding the messiahship of Jesus. The undergirding principle of Christianity is that Jesus is the Christ. Christians believe that Jesus is the Messiah; the deliverer prophesied by the Jewish prophets of the Old Testament (Jer. 23:5–6, Mic. 5:2, Isa. 7:14). Jewish culture except for Messianic people and perhaps other small segments do not believe the Messiah has come. • 33. Jesus In The Bible: Who Was Jesus Question #1 – Who was Jesus? Jesus was a great teacher who came to help us live better lives. There are many accounts of this in the Gospels where Jesus' teaches his people. We learn about Jesus in the Gospels from his birth, death, resurrection, and everything in between. Other than his teachings in the Gospels, we see miracles that he has done like healing a leper and a paralyzed man, or feeding 5,000 people with just two fish and five loaves of bread. We can learn a lot about Jesus from names he is given like Messiah for example. Messiah is used many times in the Bible and it means "anointed one." The Jewish people expected God to send a Messiah to help them with their problems and this would be Jesus. By knowing the meaning of Messiah, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 34. Jesus ' Ministry On Jesus And His Disciples 4. Commentary. 8:27.While Mark has been clearly focusing on Jesus' ministry in Galilee where his authority was exhibited in his teaching and the miraculous, he now transits by altering his scene of action from Galilee to the 'the way' to Jerusalem via Caesarea Philippi. The construction 'Jesus and his disciples' is not frequently employed by the author especially when reporting on Jesus' journeying episodes. Often times he renders the verbal form in singular when referring to Jesus alone or the third person plural 'they' for both Jesus and his disciples . This pointing is significant for it marks a turning point on what is to follow. This path is exclusively Jesus' as it will climax with Jesus alone at the cross when all his disciples will have deserted him. With his disciples, he journeys into the Caesarea Philippi. This is significant geographical shift for most of Jesus' ministry had been in Galilee. He now goes north east of Bethsaida, into a popularly Hellenistic city. At the territorial border exiting into non–Jewish territory. It is a city that was built by Philip and named after Roman emperor and Herod Antipas's brother Philip. It had long been a center of Pagan worship and prominently a site for emperor worship . Importantly it was a city for political rulers. The significance of Jesus choice to visit this city has been highly disputed by various scholars. Stain argues that, "this geographical designation must be a historical reminiscence since there is no known ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 35. The Leadership of Jesus The Leadership of Jesus The question of whether leaders are born or can be taught is one that is common in leadership discussions. My personal opinion is that leaders can be taught, and should be taught by studying the principles and practices by which our history's most effective leaders led. Furthermore; it is important to realize that leadership through hierarchies is quickly becoming inferior to leadership through service and having a joint vision shared by all those affected by this leader. Jesus was such a leader; a servant leader. Jesus said, "whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant, and whoever wants to be first must be your slave— just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give ... Jesus was a strategic and convincing teacher because he offered hope to those who had none, but made His followers aware of the dangers of putting ourselves and our possessions ahead of God. Jesus was a great strategist and this can clearly be seen by the vastness of the movement that he started. From the very beginning, Jesus was committed to training the leaders who would continue to spread his message long after his death. Jesus realized the importance in focusing on his disciples and teaching them the very details of his personal values and lifestyle. Jesus could surely reach more people by sending out his disciples to spread his message, but he also "appointed seventy–two others and sent them two by two ahead of him to every town and place where he was about to go" (Luke 10:1) this was an excellent strategy in order to make people aware of his arrival. However, it was also a strategy to teach his followers to have confidence in him; he tells them: "he who listens to you listens to me; he who rejects you rejects me; but he who rejects me rejects him who sent me" and when the seventy–two returned and told him, "Lord, even the demons submit to us in your name", Jesus replied, "do not rejoice that the spirits submit to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven" (Luke 10:16–20). The style that the writer uses/that Jesus uses is in such way giving many symbolism; the words used has many symbolism. It is a descriptive style. The illumination that occurs with the archeological data is a deeper understanding of the history of those who were like Jesus–the lower–middle class, not so well off citizens. This deeper understanding of the way in which life was lived, the structures in which they resided, the consequences of outside Greco–Roman influence, and the overall culture of this place brings into focus the birth, the life, and the death of Jesus. By understanding that Jesus was as Magness states, "...Jesus likely was a native Galilean–that is, a person of mixed origins whose family had been Judaized by the Hasmoneans approximately a century before his time," (Magness pg 194). Which is to say that the fluidity of one culture i.e. Greco–roman... would be mixed with those around the area and created a community of people with beliefs and ways of living that differed from those outside the communities during this time and were shared–like urban centers today, such as Chicago with a mixture of both standard American culture, outside cultures, and those who dwell within both. • 38. Jesus Of Nazareth: Does Jesus Exist? In the modern age many people no longer believe in Jesus Christ. They claim that modern science and historical data disproves Jesus. In fact, this just is the opposite. Most scholars do not doubt that Jesus of Nazareth existed, but it is His divinity that they doubt. By looking at historical documents and using basic reason one can see that Jesus Christ did exist, and through His actions we can see that he was divine. To find a census of any kind from the first century is quite the daunting task, so to find The man that was Jesus of Nazareth we can look to of course the gospels but also the church fathers and even some Roman scholars from the time period to help make the case for Christ existence. Tacitus a Roman senator and historian discusses Jesus as being the beginner of the Christian movement and was executed by Pontius Pilate the Roman ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... We have actual documentation of Pontius Pilates governorship of Judaea from 26–36 C.E. and many scholars place Jesus Christ death at around 29 C.E. So to refute Tacitus would be absurd because of how close to the time of Jesus he lived and would have had up to date records on all things the Roman government would have done such as executions. Now that we have sound evidence of Jesus Christ life and death we can look at the gospels and what they have to say about Jesus. Now that we have external reasons to believe Jesus existed we can look internally at his life. The best and clearest sources of Jesus' life come from the gospels, however theories and beliefs have risen to try and "debunk" the gospels of being credible. One such theory is the idea that the gospels were originally anonymous and only a century or so later given names to show credibility. First off I would like to quote Pitre and say "thus scenarios is completely incredible." (19) To first disprove this ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Jesus In The Gospels: The Burial Of Jesus The Burial of Jesus in the Gospels The recounting of Jesus' burial appears in all four gospels, with a great deal of the details shared between two, three, or all of the accounts. The common facts can be summarized as follows: a man named Joseph, from Arimathea, went to Pilate and asked for the body of Jesus, which was then given to him. Joseph took the body of Jesus, wrapped it in linen, and laid it in an unused tomb. Further details, which are attested to in three of the gospels, include the facts that the tomb was new (Matt. 27:60, Luke 23:53, John 19:41); it was cut from stone or rock (Matt. 27:60, Mark 15:46, Luke 23:53); and women observed the burial (Matt. 27:61; Mark 15:47; Luke 23:55).
