How did you use media technologies
in the construction and research,
planning and evaluation stages?

2. iMacs
I’d say the iMacs were the
technology that I used the most
and spent the most time on
because all of the editing
software was on there and that
was the most time consuming
part. I used iMovie to edit my
footage together to create my
music video, I also used it for my
preliminary. Once you know
how to use the program it is
quite easy to follow and use
which is why I chose to use
iMovie, it also has the option to
use text, transitions and effects
if necessary. As I am on my own
in a group I was able to choose
all of the editing decisions that I
wanted.

3. Video Camera
This allowed me to take footage of everything I
needed for my music video, it also allowed me a
lot of extra footage due to the space available in
case I lost or decided to change any footage
afterwards.

4. Slideshare
This was a big part in research and planning as a
lot of my research went on to PowerPoint's so I
was then able to publish the PowerPoint's onto
my blog via slideshare. I was also then after able
to make any changes on my slideshare account
without having to re-upload which was helpful.

5. Surveymonkey
I used surveymonkey to conduct primary
research and get various opinions on several
things about alternative rock. Using
surveymonkey was very useful as it allowed
people to answer the survey in their own time
and wouldn’t have to feel embarrassed about
answering as it was anonymous. It also felt more
reliable as I was personally getting the results,
they weren’t second hand so couldn’t have been
changed.

6. Twitter
Twitter the social networking site allowed me to
share my surveymonkey link so that people
were aware of the survey so they could fill it our
for me, this allowed a range of people to answer
it which was helpful.
