Edublogs
Edublogs was my main bog where I posted absolutely everything
from my very first test footage to a tutorial on how to get the best
hair line on a magazine cover. Edublogs is now host to over
2,000,000 blogs for educational purposes which is why they are
such a good host for my blog. I also aim to post my evaluation up
on the blog which is very helpful as all the posts put ot my blog can
be not only monitored to tell me about comments but they can
also be categorised into different catagorys.

Google
Google is the worlds leading search engine with the most useful
feature possible.This is why I always used it to help me find the
facts and figures I needed when doing most of my research it also
helped me asYouTube is actually a product of Google.As the
leading search engine It was helpful in pointing me in the right
way with links off on the side bar which was helpful for finding out
about smaller films that fit to my genre.

YouTube
YouTube was one of the most easy to use websites through the
research and construction stages it was also very helpful for
getting audience feedback through the blog.The best part was
the video service which they offered as when I needed to get a clip
onto the blog I uploaded it toYouTube and then after it being
uploaded and me putting in all the details I then got a embed link
and put it straight into a post which made my life incredibly easy
when doing this sort of thing.And if you look at my blog you will
see that there was an awful lot of it

IMDB
IMDB is a data base full of all the stats and figures for most the
films through history.This was a vital tool during the research and
planning stage as it helped me to asses income from genres and
also provided me with lists which I could then take and develop
into tables for income and success though mediums like awards
etc. it was also helpful to link films to genres this was especially
helpful during the research stage when finding films in my genre.

How I used Facebook/twitter
Face book and twitter are the worlds leading social networks with
Facebook having well in excess of 1 billion users and twitter having
650 million active users every day. I used them both as a mean to
gather audiences opinions and thoughts on all my products
however I was cautious to ignore comments from family members
as they tend to be overly kind and don’t often give an honest
opinion.

How I used the technology's to gather info from target audience
As previously said I used twitter and Facebook as two of my main
methods for gathering thoughts where my actual main source was
Edu blogs as with this I could go directly to the people who want
to see my product and leave constructive criticism on it.There
were other methods of gaining the audiences feedback however I
felt like it wouldn’t of been effective enough for me so I didn’t
want to over complicate things.One other method I did use
however was poll daddy but after I got one set of results the site
was so confusing that I didn’t bother from there on in .

Tripod
The tripod was one of the most useful tools that I used through
the whole of the construction and evaluation.The tripod I used
was a high end gittos one which was incredibly sturdy and reliable.
An example of when it was helpful was during the shoot for the
magazine cover when I was on my own and needed to keep the
camera up to take the images this is when it came into its own and
was incredibly useful.

Camera
There were two different camera that I used for the two different
types of media I was producing.
Filming – I used my D7000 for the filming as it boasts a large
megapixel sensor and as a dslr I was able to swap the lenses in and
out at my choosing which gave me the full versatility that I needed
and with full HD recording it was perfect for the job.
Photography – for this I used a D3 camera.The reason behind this
change was that the D3 has a full frame sensor which enables it to
capture much more detailed images and it also has a higher
megapixel count which gets even more detail.The reason that I
didn't’t use it for the filming was due to the fact that It doesn’t
have a filming mode

Microphone
I used the microphone for the voice over on my clip which added a
critical aspect to my trailer. I used a rode microphone and pic up to
capture the highest quality audio possible this worked well with
my high production value on the rest of my trailer.

Adobe software's
Adobe was the back bone of the whole project as without it none
of my trailer would have been possible.Adobe is the worlds leader
in creative technology with innovative products like
Photoshop, premier pro, after effects and many more but it is also
has created one of the worlds most useful tools in the form of
flash which can read almost any document.This is why adobe are
so iconic in the media scene not only for there great products but
for there innovative edge.

Photoshop
Photoshop is world resound as the best photo editing software
and that is absolutely true from my experience with it.This is
especially true with the way I was enabled to do so much between
Photoshop and InDesign as I edited an image for my magazine
cover which I then saved in a psd doc. But due to the cross nature I
was able to put that document in the InDesign which speaks
volumes about them both and if it wasn’t down to this I wouldn’t
of been able to make my magazine cover the way I did

InDesign
InDesign was the best tool I could use for the production of my
magazine as it contains all the features any magazine maker
would ever need.The best part of the software which really shone
through during my construction was the versatility and ease of use
as I was able to create a pro looking magazine cover.The best tool
was the resizer as when I had my main image I needed to post an
image over the top but it was to big but using the tool I was able to
resize the image to the right size in seconds.

Premier pro
Premier pro was the best for all round editing and digital touch up
which is why its adobes best video production tool to date and
why it was so hardly in the production of my media trailer. Premier
pro offers such a wide range of tools and effects that hardly
anyone touched it massive potential during the making. I made
the most as I have a wide knowledge of the software so can easily
work my way around this helped as I really had the best
knowledge to make my trailer.

After effects
After effects offers a full editing suit suited to post production and
high end special effects this could be explosions to title making
which is what I used it for.The reason it was so good at letting me
make a title is that it had a key frame where you could animate
text to make it do what you want with out you having to put in a
tonne of effort.

How I used Illustrator
I used illustrator to make all of the models on the poster it was
extremely useful as it allowed me to develop and change the
characters at will using the drawing tool that they have in the
software. It adobes main tool for drawing typefaces and
characters so I used it to my advantage

Tech used in evaluation
I have used two different technologies in my evaluation the first
being PowerPoint which was the template on which I built and put
all my evaluation including my videos and research into my
audience etc. the second was slideshare this enabled me to put my
PowerPoint document online and to then post it onto my blog, I
found this to be incredibly helpful in the analysis and evaluation of
my product as it meant I could edit at home using PowerPoint and
then go and put it online using the slideshare website.

Technological convergence
All the technologies I have talked about in my analysis and
evaluation have been amazing not only on there own but at
working together as well. It has been critical to my success that
they have worked as well as they have done. An example of the
hardware working with the software was in Photoshop as when I
loaded my images of the memory card I found that the software
already knew what to correct from the camera which shows that
the two working together really helped my construction. But all
together they all worked really well to help me with my
construction, research, planning and evaluation
