This is a storyboard that introduces the concepts of force to young learners, as this is still a raw WIP, content and comp imagery may change in the final version, comments are welcome.

This Story board is a work in progress, content and
comp imagery are subject to changes.

2. Brief list of guidelines to follow for all session SBs:
•Must have spoken words(VO) less than 1500 in total.
•Must have On Screen text less than total spoken words.
•Should have at least one central character(Neha, Deva, etc).
•Can have imagery from shutterstock.com and clipart.com
•Must avoid examples from NCERT/private publisher books
wherever possible.
•Must have CCE complaint content.
•Can have videos/pictures/illustrations that can be
shot/illustrated under normal circumstances.
•Should have scientific enquiry activities wherever possible.
•Should have goody bag relating to facts/information(Do you
know(s))

Learning ObjectivesBy the end of this session you would be able to:Identify push and pullDefine forceUnderstand the direction of forceIndentify the conditions necessary for force to come into effect
Meet Neha. She’s wants to keep things around her very organized.
VO:If need be she would even rearrange the position of a tiger on skateboard.
VO:She really enjoys doing all this.
VO:It’s the physics of pulls and pushes that helps Neha all day.
VO:Neha wonders what all can push and pull do?
VO:Neha can figures out some examples of pull. While using a catapult,Pulling a string (to open blinds),Opening a cupboard, pulling a toy tied to a string.
VO:Did you notice that a push can change an object’s position.Withdrawing, removing and taking away are also some instances of pull.
VO:Now look at this.Similar to pull a push can also change the position of an object. We also experience when objects are pressed or moved in the same direction.
VO:A push or pull can even change shapes, just like force applied on a straw changes its shape.
VO:Or when pressing an orange.
VO:A pull can also change shapes .
VO:Neha likes elephants and the same way she deforms an orange, an elephant can change the shape of a ball by pushing over it.
VO:Neha observes when Tia pushes a pencil towards a moving toy car, its direction changes. Thus, a push can change the direction of a moving object.
VO:Neha remember that she saw a swmimmer/ dolphing pulling a kayak towards the beach, its direction changed. Thus, a pull can change the direction of a moving object.
VO:Thus we can conclude that Force is considered as a EFFORT that is mainly applied to bring about a change in the object with respect to its position, state, direction etc.
VO:From all the examples we have seen, we can say that the effort this effort is broadly taken under 2 heads: PUSH and PULL
VO:Push is taken as a force that is applied on an object such that the force is away from the source of application.Effect observed due to the applied force is also in the direction of the force i.e. Away from the source
VO:Effect observed due to the applied force is also in the direction of the force i.e. Away from the source
VO:Pull is the effort applied on an object so that the force is towards the source of the force applied. Thus the resulting effect is also in the direction of the source as seen here.
VO:Give the direction of the force
VO:In all the examples presented in previous sections, the point is clear that : A minimum of 2 objects are required for the application & effect of the force
VO:Thus interaction or communication between related objects is necessary to see or observe the action of the force applied. In all such systems force becomes the cause & change due to this becomes effect.
VO:identify cause and effect
VO:By now Neha has learnt many things about force, she is now good with the physics of push and pull.
