Kwanzaa is an African–American and Pan–African holiday that celebrates family, community and
culture. It is observed from December 26 through January 1 and its origins may be found in the first
harvest celebrations of Africa, from which this holiday takes its name. Kwanzaa is derived from the
phrase, "matunda ya kwanza," which means "first fruits" in Swahili, a Pan–African tongue that is
the most widely spoken language of Africa. The first–fruits celebrations are recorded in African

The time I received an iPhone as a Christmas present I tended to go outside a lot less than I did
before I received the present. Being outside riding a dirt bike makes people feel better than when
they are inside and busy being attached to their phone. I have never seen anyone riding a dirt bike

organizations also hold New Year's countdown parties, with the most noteworthy ones held at The
Curve, Changkat Bukit Bintang, and KLCC Park. The most glamorous celebration is the fireworks
display at the Petronas Towers.
Mumbai
Since Mumbai has a relatively large percentage of Christians, there are many churches that hold
religious services during Christmas time. The streets are lit up and numerous restaurants such as
Yauatcha, Copa, Serafina hand out free vouchers and gifts.
The biggest public celebration of New Year in Mumbai is at India Gate, where there is a beautiful
fireworks display. Apart from this, five star hotels hold grand countdown parties at their venue.
However the general populace celebrates the New Year by holding private parties among family and
friends or the youth celebrate at bars and clubs with friends.
