This document contains questions from a formative assessment given to an 8th grade student about designing an experiment to test how an enzyme digests starch. The student is asked to identify the independent variable they would change, how they would change it, which variables would be kept the same, and the dependent variable they would measure. They are also asked to indicate when they would take measurements and whether they would do repeats. Finally, they are prompted to draw a blank data table to record their results.
