Research Paper On Yeast
1.Yeast is a microscopic unicellular fungus, their physiological properties have directed their use in biotechnology. Varied forms of yeast are
implemented in the creation of breads, beer fermentation and wine fermentation.
2.Gluten is a viscid nitrogenous protein composite existent in wheat, barley and rye. Two proteins that are present inwheat flour are gliadin and
glutenin, the main composites of gluten that aid the formation of bread.
3.The gluten substance in flour is imperative as it provides elasticity to the dough. The formation of gliadin and glutenin molecules form a sub
microscopic network, aiding the viscosity and extensibility of the dough.
4.Yeastis essential to the leavening process in bread, metabolizing the simple sugars present into a substance that exudes carbon dioxide into a strong
and elastic gluten network within the dough. Subsequently the carbon dioxide ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The fermentation process essentially is the yeast consuming the existent sugars converting them into derivative substances including carbon dioxide.
Consequently the CO2 causes gas bubbles that progressively expand and leaven the bread.
6.Kneading is essential to the formation of the gliadin and glutenin network, founding the cohesive agent that holds the bread together. Kneading
creates the strands of gluten, of which creates texture and elasticity.
7.Proving is the necessary stage prior to baking, allowing the dough to rise and leaven. Proving is considered an essential step in the fermentation
process sanctioning the yeast to form carbon dioxide and inflate the dough.
8.Bread is referred to as the staff of life due to the availability and continuous historical use. Its reputation as a staple has occurred due to the varied
formations and varieties readily available and created historically and currently. Christianity interprets it as the staple of life due to the perception of
varied quotes in the bible. Bread is evident in the majority of recorded historical civilisations.

Personal Narrative: Two Minutes About Cookies
2 Minutes About Cookies By: Anonymous _ The second that I got home I rushed to the Kitchen like an excited dog. I could smell coffee. It had
tiling that was the color of coffee creamer before it was put in the coffee. The cabinets were made of a light wood. The countertops were a slightly
lighter cream color than the tiling. The oven, microwave, and fridge were all white like snow. The toaster was stainless steel and black and matched
the coffee maker. I quickly rushed to the cabinet and grabbed the blue and white flower bag along with the rest of the ingredients. I moved the black
and stainless steel coffee maker onto a different counter and replaced it with the ingredients. I could here

In a small bowl, mix the rennet with 1/4 cup water to dissolve. In another small bowl, mix the citric acid with 1 cup water to dissolve. Pour your milk
into a pot and heat it to 85 degrees over a medium–low flame, then add the citric acid solution. Using a slotted spoon, give the milk a gentle stir. Let

a spoon into the curds –– if the indentation stays, they're ready. Place a colander on top of a bowl. Using a slotted spoon, lift the curds and place
them into the colander to let the whey drain off. Lift the colander to keep draining. Using your hands, very gently press the curds into the colander

they're ready for kneading. Put a large pot of salted water on to boil. Make sure the water is salty enough to flavor the cheese (I like it to taste at least as
salty as the sea). Once it's reached the boil, turn off the heat and let the water cool to 180 degrees, or as hot as your hands can handle. Food–safe

Sour Dough Diet
Many Americans love the delicious, yet fattening, carbohydrate recognized as bread. Usually, we all eat bread when it is stuffed with meat and cheese,
but most can't resist the taste of certain breads without the added accompaniments. Sour Dough bread, being a popular favorite, is most commonly
made by preparing your starter dough, feeding the starter dough, then finally kneading and baking the loaves. The first step is making the starter dough.
Before starting, make sure you have a large, non–metallic bowl for mixing. Making sure your bowls are non–metallic ensures that the dough will not
ruin. Mix together dry yeast, two cups of warm water, and two cups of all purpose flour. Once you have mixed all of your ingredients, obtain the mix
with a loose seal and leave the starter dough in a warm place to ferment for four to eight days and check on it occasionally. Making sure the bread is
well fermented will improve the quality of the dough. Once the days have passed, the mixture is bubbly, and there is a pleasantly sour smell; the
starter dough is ready to be used. If the starter ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
After you take the start–er dough out of the refrigerator and leave it on the counter for at least an hour, you will mix dry ingredients in a separate
bowl. Mixing the dry ingredients separate will help the process stay organized. These dry ingredients include: sugar, bread flour, and potato flakes.
Once the ingredients are mingled together, contribute the mix with the existing starter dough. Now the dough is fed and the mushy mess will need
to sit and warm to room temperature. Once bubbles start to float to the top, you are finally ready for your last step. After leaving the dough out for
a day, combine six cups of bread flour, one cup of sugar, one tablespoon of salt, a half cup of oil, one and a half cups of the starter dough, and a half
cup of warm water until the mix is thick. This combination will take you to the last

Facts About Yeast Bread
Yeast Bread Biological leavening requires living organisms such as yeast to leaven the dough. Fermentation occurs when yeast converts glucose into
ethyl alcohol and carbon dioxide, then gas bubbles from carbon dioxide were released into the mixture, causing the bread to rise. Yeast will be die if
the temperature reaches over 138 degrees Fahrenheit and dormant when less than 90 degrees. In out pizza recipe, we used warm water in the mixture
and left the dough in the warm oven afterwards to speed up the reaction. When we took the dough out, the dough was expanded and doubled in size.
Adding fat in the recipe helps shorten the gluten strands and browning. By shortening the gluten, the pizza dough will not be too tough. In our

Kristen s Cookie Company Case Study Essay
Kristen's Cookie Company
Here is the Process Flow Diagram:
The whole process throughput time of making a dozen of cookies is 26 minutes. It takes washing, mixing and spooning 8 minutes to make a dozen of
cookies. And preparation and bake time totally are 10 minutes. The final step of cooling, packing and accepting payment of cookies takes roommate 8
minutes to finish the cycle. Assume the night capacity is 4 hours, so Kristen and roommate have 240 minutes operating time. Since the oven only holds
one tray, the second dozen takes an additional 10 minutes to bake. For example, first dozen of cookies take 26 minutes to make, second dozen of
cookies take 36 minutes to make and third dozen of cookies take 46 minutes to make. So we can ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Although the oven only holds one tray per time, it takes 6 minutes to washing and mixing steps. So we still need 3 trays to be well–prepare. The
bottleneck operation would be the speed of operation, which is time you spend in preparing and baking. The speed with which you can produce
cookies depends on the cycle time of baking. If we can rent another oven, it will increase our efficiency in order to make more cookies with lower
cost. Because mixer can mix ingredients for up to three dozens cookies, each oven can hold a tray per time. This change would give us solution for
production constraints. After increasing capacity of oven, it will make us start our new orders every 5 minutes and 7.5 dozens per hour. So we are
willing to pay $200–$300 to rent an extra oven. If we choose to run business without Kristen, her time for one dozen cookies becomes 12 minutes. It
will become the labor bottleneck. If the order contains two dozens or more, Kristen's time for this order becomes 17 minutes and 22 minutes for 3
dozens. For the delay time, there is no need to offer a rate to rush order. Because of our constrains, previous order can be finished on time. We can

Uniting Bowl Kabbalah
The uniting bowl provides a place where everything bonds Before we create anything we should provide a space and place for it to form. The empty
bowl provides the ingredients a place to unite and transform into dough. Since ancient time humans mixed dough ingredients in a basin before it
reached the stage of kneading. The bowl's shape caused all contents to arrive at the center at the same time, therefore the force of mixing caused the
integration between them. A woman's belly is envisioned as a bowl of life. After mixing the materials it creates independent life. Kabbalah teaches us
that feminine energy is a vessel that receives; receiving is an active power that enables us to gather raw ingredients and transform them into something

You will bring: thoughts, feelings, concerns, body, and inner self. Through the process of mindful attention, you are bringing your being into the
present moment. Hold the mixing bowl and internally ask for it to represent a readiness to be empty and receptive. From the moment that we
gather the ingredients until the end of the kneading it is an auspicious time, the gate of heaven is open and it is important to utilize this time for
prayers and requests. It is said in the book of Genesis (48:22) "I'm giving you one more mountain ridge than your brothers. I took it from the
Amorites with my own sword and bow." Commentators say that 'my own sword' means 'my own prayer' and that 'my bow' means 'my request'. The
sword's power is from its own sharpness, the bow's power depends on the archer; therefore, the more the archer pulls, the higher the arrow will fly. As
for our prayers: we have prayers that are like sword – they are the ones that our sages taught us, and they are very powerful and holy. However, we
have the right to express our heart's desires, and if we earnestly and whole heartedly express them then they can be very powerful. When we work
through the stages of creating the dough, it is an inspiring time for spiritual thoughts and for expressing our heart's wishes. As we hold the bowl we aim

Mechanical massage is the use of powered equipment that substitutes the use of hands, fingers or elbows.
There are two categories of mechanical massage these being, Percussors or Gyrators.
Percussors have the same effect as hacking, beating or cupping, and use movements that are in a vertical plane. This form of mechanical massage is
generally used for larger muscle groups.
Smaller areas can be treated as well but this is usually carried out with a smaller percussor which is usually referred to as an audio–sonic, these can
vibrate up to 3000 percussions /second and feel like a vibration.

How to Bake Colonial Bread Essay
Introduction Crisp, brown, delicious –– these all describe the sensation of bread, a food that has managed to survive throughout time. Thought to be
created more than 7000 years ago, bread has played a role as a staple food from the Ancient Egyptians to the people of today. Bread is now used as a
main food source that is eaten all over the world. Even in the midst of the colonial times, colonists created bread as a main food product in their time.
Bread was made in the colonists' daily lives, for it was a versatile food that was simple to make. By following steps and having some patience, we may
recreate bread like the colonists once did.

As you transition from using the spoon to your hands when mixing the dough, you will notice that the dough will end up with a rugged look. Be sure
to clean the sides of the bowl with the dough. With the dough ready, it is now time to move on to kneading.
Step 3: KNEADING THE DOUGH To begin kneading, you must lightly sprinkle flour on a wooden surface or counter, about 1 tablespoon. Cover your
hands with flour and plop the dough on the working area. Hold one side of the dough with one hand and stretch the top portion of the dough with
another hand without tearing it. Turn the dough and continue kneading for 8 to 10 minutes until the dough is smooth and stretchy. Add flour to the
dough if it still is sticky and toss it 2 to 3 times during kneading.
Step 4: FERMENTING THE DOUGH Once the dough has been kneaded, it is time to allow the yeast in the bread to rise. First, settle the dough in
the original mixing bowl that is lightly spread with flour. Tapping the dough with lightly buttered fingers is not necessary, but will prevent the dough's
surface from drying up. With a dry towel, cover the bowl and place the it in a warm area around 80–85oF for 1 hour. The dough should be twice its
original size once finished rising. A tip to check if the dough has risen is to poke one finger into the dough. If the dent stays, the dough has properly
risen.

Hot Chocolate Cookies Essay
The name of the recipe I will be making is Mexican hot chocolate cookies. The reason I chose Mexican hot chocolate cookies is I find this cookie
super unique in taste and texture compared to other cookies. It is fairly simple to make. I learned how to make these cookies with my mother. It
was not for a special occasion, we just wanted to try a new recipe. Our family often packages the cookies, three per bag, to take to the military base
and distribute to the security forces folks on duty. They really appreciate being thought of. They often tease my mother saying it has been too long
since she brought them by. There are stories of people hiding them from their spouse or family members. The recipe originally appeared on Martha
Stewart's website. My mother made some changes to the recipe along the way. It is best to gather all of the ingredients and equipment before you
begin to prepare the recipe. One important tip is to set the butter on the counter for twenty minutes before starting the recipe. We learned quickly that
the temperature of the butter plays a big role in how the cookies turn out. Consequently, if the butter is too warm the cookies spread out while baking.
We determined that somewhere between twenty and thirty minutes is best. The equipment needed for this recipe is: Equipment: parchment paper, a
medium size bowl, a large bowl, a hand mixer or stand mixer, mixing spoon, measuring spoons, sifter, spatula, cookie scoop, fork and two cookie
sheets. The

It was early in the morning, and I had just woken up because I hear voices and objects being moved around in my grandma's kitchen. I got up from
the bed and made my way down the hallway straight to the kitchen. Once I entered the kitchen I saw all of my aunts with my grandma kneading the corn

Electronic Massaging Products And Its Effects On The Market
Thanks to technology, it is no longer necessary to spend hundreds of dollars a month on pricey visits to your local spa for a relaxing massage. Though
hands and fingers are sublime for attacking knotted muscles and sensitive pressure points, today 's inventions have evolved in such a way that one can
target the kind of massage experience he/she wants. It may seem like a simple task to select any one of the dozens of products on the market these
days. But the variations are seemingly endless. I happen to have tried out several different electronic massaging products. So here 's a little guide to

anxiety control, and even some relief of pain. The good news about these types of products is that they typically cost much less than the newer shiatsu
models. I purchased one of HoMedics earliest versions, a full length massaging mat. The mat comes with a hand–held remote which features massage
programs such as pulsating or complete vibration. The control also allows the user to select which general areas to focus on. What I liked about the
mat, was that the complete vibration is extremely relaxing. However, on these older mats, the overall pressure and vibration intensity is rather

Spreading Music Theory: Baking Music
Baking Music Today, we will be learning how to incorporate root position, first inversion, and second inversion correctly into a song. Many people
will look at that statement with a morbid curiosity, but others may be filled with an overwhelming sense of passion to learn more. Learning music
theory is like making a pizza, one needs all the ingredients to begin the journey; however, achieving the desired result will take practice and patience.
In order to understand music theory, one needs all the necessary ingredients. Just as a baker needs: flour, water, olive oil, sugar, yeast, and kosher salt
to form the dough of the pizza, a theorist needs to understand: pitch, rhythm, key signatures, the different types of clefs, and the order of notes to
understand and grow their knowledge of music theory. The gathering of the ingredients takes only a brief period of time and builds up the excitement
towards the task. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The kneading process should be rhythmic and steady; handling each part of the dough quickly, never letting it rest for too long between turns, much
like a theorist never goes too long without reviewing the lessons or works they have to practice. Ten minutes is a long time to perform such a task as
kneading, and the baker's arms get tired and he or she takes a break. Even so, the determination to achieve their goal brings them right back to folding,
pinching, and punching the dough. Just as a music theorist may be distraught over the many obstacles they face while learning theory, the desire to learn
music theory is stronger than the frustration they feel, and they will find a way to continue

Massage Therapy Research Paper
According to the book, some of the terms and concepts that was portrayed in the massage therapy technique were shiatsu and Swedish massage.
Shiatsu is a type of massage that uses pressure to release blocked energy and help with relaxation on certain points on your body. This can help with
areas in our body that are sore or distressed. Furthermore, Swedish massage was another concept that was mentioned in the book. Swedish massage is a
very common and well–known massage for Western cultures. It uses a lot of hand motions like kneading, stroking, and karate type chops. Swedish
massage helps our body by relieving tensions for muscle tissues. Some of the Swedish massage steps that was mentioned were effleurage, petrissage,
friction, kneading, tapotement, and vibration. These are different hand movements that you could do to help relieve the tensions in your muscle
tissues. For instance, tapotement is a similar form of karate chops that is going to help alleviate hard muscle tensions. Self–massage was also
mentioned during the technique and in the book too. Some of the self–massages that we could do on our own body are head, face, neck, shoulders,

The Influence Of Righting Reflex On Earth
THE SCIENCE BEHIND; Why cats always land on their feet
Felines, such interesting animals, varying from a large ferocious lion to a meer house–cat. These creatures are powerful and very intelligent animals,
with the occasionally clumsy cat. One of their most used skills is their ability to leap, jump or fall and always land on their feet. They make it look
so easy. But do not be deceived, there is actually some complicated feline effort and science that goes into their graceful tumbles and leaps.
Righting Reflex, that's the basic and simple answer. The righting Reflex is a cat's ability to almost instantaneously turn itself towards the ground,
allowing itself to almost always land on their feet, but there always that cat who will be distracted by a bird or something. Cats have a very flexible

How Do Cats Communicate Through Meows?
There are two types of people in this world: dog people and cat people. While dog people like to think they're the best, we all know the truth–cat people
rule. Whether you have one, two, three, four, or even more cats, you know there's nothing more rewarding than getting a cuddle from your furry friend.
One thing is certain though, cats have some weird mannerisms. While strange at first, most cat mannerisms actually have good reasoning behind them.
Say what?
Have you ever tried to communicate to your cat through meows? Don't lie, you totally have. Did you know your cat only meows to communicate with
you? Cats communicate with one another through scent, so all those mews and howls are tailored just for you.
Scientists have uncovered many different types of meows. Here are just a few translations:

It's been proven that cats do actually understand when humans are speaking to them, they just choose to ignore it.

Kisses...or are they?
We're all familiar with the sand–paper like surface of a cat's tongue, which makes being licked almost unbearable. You might think this means your kitty
is giving you little kisses, but it's actually so much more than that.
Hold onto your heart because it's about to burst from happiness–cats actually lick us because they recognize us as a part of their family. Like their
mother did when they were a kitten, this is the best way a cat knows how to show love–by cleaning you. I'm not crying, you're crying.
On the less cute side, cats also use licking as a way to claim what's theirs. It's the cat version of giving you a hickey, they want other cats to know this

Massage Therapy Is So Popular Today
Massage therapy is so popular today. Looking in any yellow pages will give proof that. Evidently, more and more people are training to get into the
field. The pay is pretty good, considering that in Tennessee, good massage therapists get anywhere from $50 to $100 and hour for their work. A
half–hour will give you around $30–$50. This isn 't bad, but people need to consider what 's involved and the expenses that are inevitably going to be
incurred. Massage therapy is really for strong people who have good hands. Because the arms and hands are so intensely used, there will be constant
strain on these areas. It 's best to know that any occupation involving repetitive movement stands a high chance of damaging nerves or muscles in the
part of the body used the most. Many training schools also teach self–therapy and exercises to minimize that risk. Nobody can predict arthritis, but that

The Invention Of A Handheld Electric Mixer
In the beginning of time mixers were not electrical like they are now a days really easy for people to use. The egg beaters were hand cranked, Hand
cranks don't require electricity, there is a handle you hold it with and a little knob that you twist so it could mix the ingredients together. In 1856, a
Maryland Tinner named Ralph Collier was the man who invented hand cranked egg beaters. The hand cranked egg beaters were used by hand nothing
electrical in them, but a more years went by people started inventing so much more mixers and they were electrical of different kind. A handheld electric
mixer is basically an electrical mixer that has a handle and someone holds it while the mixer is mixing the eggs and other things. Mixers are of
course something used in the kitchen and only the kitchen. People or chiefs use it for baking because it makes the dough in a better smoother
texture than if it was hand mixed. A classical American mixer brand is Dover stamping company, the company bought the patent egg beaters in 1859.
An American man named Rufus Eastman invented the first mixer which was in 1885. The first man to invent electric mixer was named Herbert
Johnson that was in 1908. His whole idea started from basically watching television, there was a baker who was making dough with a spoon that is
how his idea was formed. There were electrical mixers before but they were hand mixers that used electricity. The electric mixes he made were mostly

Cats Purring Research Paper
Why do cats purr? This is a common question that most cat–owners speculate on. Purring is a very relaxing sound, usually associated with relaxation
and content. Cats also demonstrate other strange behaviors, such as kneading. How cats purr and knead can be very easily answered. However, what's
even more interesting is what these behaviors are rooted in. To find this out, scientists and researchers must look at behaviors that are learned in
kittenhood. For those that don't know, purring is a vibration sound that cats make, usually when they are contented and happy. However, something that
a lot of people don't know is that cats also purr when they are sick or injured (International Cat Care). The theory on this is that the vibration and

Purring, while mostly displayed when content, was also displayed in kitten hood to their mother to show that they were ok (Why and how do cats
purr?). Kneading first happens when kittens knead on their mother to simulate the flow of milk (Why do cats...?). It can also be used to mark
objects/humans with their scent, as scent glands are present on the bottom of their paws (Why do cats knead?). Some kittens continue kneading into
adulthood, and some don't (Why do cats knead?). It isn't a bad thing, just a learned behavior, as are all the others. There is so much more we can
learn about cats and their behaviors. What we do know is that a lot of seemingly weird things they do comes from learned behaviors from kitten
hood. Purring is a sign of content, but also a comforting mechanism when ill or injured. Kneading was used to start the flow of milk in their mothers,
but when they're older they don't have their mother's milk to drink, so they might continue on a blanket, pillow or a human leg. All cat owners are
familiar with this behavior, and every cat is

How To Write An Essay On Pizza
When I was little, the one and only food that I would come back to all the time was pizza. I loved pizza because it could be made to fit the taste of
anyone, including my family of picky eaters, and it was the perfect food for anytime because it makes people feel happier. As I got older, I became
interested in cooking and one day decided that I should try to make the one food that was symbol of my entire childhood. However, I did not have
the time to do every single step to make a pizza, nor did I have the skill it took to properly flip around the pizza dough to aerate it properly to
produce the iconic fluffy crust. I spent some time using my knowledge and skills in cooking until I found how to make the easiest at home pizza recipe.
Making a pizza at home with this recipe shortens the entire process and gives you results that are just as amazing. Before you start anything, you must
gather all your basic ingredients, materials, and desired toppings. The materials you will need is one eight inch cake pan, an oven, and a large bowl

brown, carefully remove the pan from the oven and place it on the countertop. At this point, you may add your marinara sauce, cheese and other
desired toppings. Once you have added all of your desired toppings, place the pan back into the oven for another ten to twelve minutes or until the
pizza has turned golden brown. If you would like a crispier pizza, cook it in the oven for an additional two minutes. At the end of the cook time,

Making A Delicious Homemade Bread
If you have never had a chance to go to a bakery and smell that fresh baked bread aroma, you are missing out! Bread is one of the most widely
consumed foods in the world today. In fact, when you make a loaf of bread, you tend to use all five senses. Melissa Hill said, "Bread is like real love,
it took time, cultivation, strong loving hands and patience. It lived, rising and growing to fruition only under the most perfect circumstances." When I
started baking, I experienced a difficult time understanding the process and the many steps involved while making bread. There are three critical steps
involved in making a delicious homemade bread.
Making The Dough– The first step to making bread is simple, pick a recipe to make. May I suggest we make a sweet honey oat loaf? Now we can
begin. Start by turning on the oven, set temperature to 410 degrees. Now, let the fun begin while we make our Honey oat recipe. We will start by
adding our ingredients. In a large mixing bowl, we will add 1 cup of rolled oats any brand is fine. Water time let's get 2 cups of hot water. I suggest
around 110 degrees hot. This allows the yeast to start working at a quicker speed. Add to mixing bowl and a ВЅ cup of honey, 2 tablespoons butter and
2 teaspoons of table salt. Finally let stand for 1 hour. Next, in a small bowl let's add our main ingredient 1 (.25 ounce) package active dry yeast and a
ВЅ cup of water 110 degrees F. Let yeast dissolve for about ten minutes or it becomes a creamy texture.

Personal Narrative: My Life In Florida
I first encountered the ocean in 1958; I was ten. Being a map enthusiast, I knew exactly where Florida was, and I was excited to swim in the salty
Atlantic Ocean. Born and raised next to frigid Lake Michigan I understood a large body of water as well as a sandy beach, but no book or
encyclopedia prepared me for understanding the flavor or immensity of an ocean and its adjoining shore. Arriving at the beach I raced across the hot
pure white sand to keep my feet from burning, stopping in wonder when I saw ocean waves gently caressing a seashore that seemed to go on and on
forever. I knew I was somewhere special. My family vacationed in Florida every year after that for as long as I can remember as Grandpa and his
sister, Mabel, built a home in Vero Beach. We spent long days beachside jumping waves, gliding across them on boogie boards, burying each other
in the sand, and building sandcastles as high as we were tall. Grandpa told us we could dig a hole in the sand to China, but the deeper we dug we
only found water. Every day we walked to a long gray weathered wooden pier, stooping to pick up seashells, and often attempting to carry more than
our hands could hold. Grandpa ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Whether spending glorious days on Key Biscayne in Florida or walking miles on the Vero Beach shore, I slowly began to sense God's presence.
Surrounded by curving palms, the alabaster beaches of Key Biscayne are paradise and when the tide is out you can walk forever stopping to cool
in the dips created by the pull of the ocean current. One year in Florida, sitting in the shallow water of the Gulf of Mexico, and kneading for
seashells, I discovered bone white sand dollars. Holding them briefly and gently setting them down, we observed as they slid under the sand. It was
in these places that I would walk and cry, sit and weep, talking to a God that I finally understood love me. I found healing and peace and God restored

Informative Essay About Massage
There are many types of massage, each with their own benefits to relieve stress, pain or enhance general wellbeing. Massage is an ancient art with
many variations depending on the country of origin. I explore some of the most popular, explaining the treatment and their individual benefits.
Swedish Massage
Swedish massage, the most popular worldwide, is also known as 'Classic massage' and is the foundation for most other types of Western massage. It
involves using firm but gentle pressure to promote relaxation, working on areas of specific muscle tension. It is performed on bare skin using oils or
lotions. The therapist uses their hands, forearms or elbows to manipulate the superficial layers of the muscles. Swedish massage shortens recovery time

Indian Head Massage is a very relaxing treatment which, as the name suggests, focuses on massaging the head. Indian Head Massage (Champissage)

kneading and compression movements over the neck, shoulder and scalp areas. Performed sitting upright in a chair, it helps to clear the mind as it
revitalizes and improves alertness and concentration levels, whilst improving joint mobility and flexibility in the neck and shoulders.
Reflexology Massage
Reflexology, also known as zone therapy, is based on the concept that there are "reflex" areas on the feet and hands that correspond to specific
organs, glands, and other parts of the body. The underlying theory is that if pressure is applied to a specific reflex area, it affects the organ

Massage Therapy Essay
Massage Therapy is an alternative medicine practice that involves the use of different types of strokes that are done with the hands, fingers, forearms,
and elbows of a specially trained person. The strokes are done to manipulate the soft tissues and muscles of one's body in an attempt to relax and
relieve the person from symptoms and disorders they may be experiencing. There are many different types of massages that can be performed and
some are better than others for relieving certain conditions. Some common types of massage include the Swedish massage, the pregnancy massage, the
geriatric massage, sports massage, deep tissue massage, and the cranial sacral massage. There is also the Shiatsu, Thai, Reflexology, and Hot–Stone
massages, as well as many more. Therefore, massage therapist can customize a patients massage to help with the patient's certain and distinct age,
condition, symptoms, and disorder. Massage therapy encompasses the use of many different types of strokes depending on what type of massage the
patient is receiving. Some of these strokes are long and smooth while others are short, percussive, and drumming. Common strokes used in multiple
styles of massage therapy include Effleurage, which is a smooth gliding stroke used to relax the soft tissue. Friction is a fast moving, deep, circular

Why Do Cats Purr?
Why do cats purr?
Purring is a cat's innate response as much as barking is to a dog. But why do cats purr still remains a mystery. Many of us observed that most purring
occurs when a cat is happy and that led us to believe that cats purr because they are happy. However, happiness is not always the reason why they purr.
There are also other reasons why they do it such as feeling nervous, hungry or it is their way of simple communication.
Here are the other formulated guesses as to why cats purr:
Happiness. Our first reason is because your cat is simply happy. To distinguish that happiness is the reason why your cat is purring, he may also
manifests other signs such as looking relaxed, lying on her back with eyes half–closed and tail mostly still.
Mother–baby connection. Kittens can purr after a few days from the day they are born. It has been theorized that kittens purr to let their mothers know
their whereabouts or that they are okay so that their moms will not worry anymore.
Feelings of hunger or thirst. Mealtime is almost everyone's favorite part of the day and that involves cats too. There was a study conducted by British
researchers wherein they found that sounds made by house cats when they are hungry and when they are not are different from each other. For ... Show

Surprisingly enough, cats do not only purr when they are happy, but they also make the sound when they are hurt or in pain. Purring in times of
painful or hurtful situations may be the cat's way to soothe himself. Some research has suggested that when a cat purrs while in pain or hurt, it
makes himself feel better at a faster rate. The low frequency of purring will cause vibrations within the cat's body which can heal bones and wounds,
lessen pain and swelling, build muscles and repair tendons, and ease his breathing. This explanation may also be the reason as to how can cats survive
falls from very high places and have fewer complications from surgeries when compared to

Oven Persuasive Essay
Before you bake anything, your oven needs to be heated to its proper temperature. It takes only a few seconds to turn on your oven, but it takes several
minutes for it to reach the right temperature. Turning on your oven and letting it heat up to the right temperature is known as "preheating." Most
recipes require you to turn your oven on first, before starting to cook.
First you should consider preheating your oven before starting your recipe. Electrical ovens often need 10 to 15 minutes before they reach the proper
temperature. This is usually enough time for you to prepare your recipe. If it takes more than 15 minutes in which to prepare the food, then consider
starting the oven half–way through the prepping process.

Most oven racks usually are set in the middle of the oven, but in some cases, the dish that you are baking will need to be placed higher or lower in the
oven. Refer to the recipe, and if necessary, take out the oven rack and set it to the right level.
Note that items such as cakes, cookies, and cupcakes should be placed in the middle rack, unless the recipe states otherwise.
Turn on the oven and set it to the right temperature. To get the right temperature, you will need to refer to your recipe. The oven temperature is usually
at the very beginning of the recipe, its the very first step.
Wait for the oven to reach the desired temp. Most ovens have a setting that lets you either see the current temperature or it will beep when ready. Some
ovens have a little light that turns on when it is the right temperature. This light is usually next to the oven temperature dial.
Consider using an oven thermometer. in some cases the temperature inside the oven is not very accurate and does not actually match the temperature
on the dial. An oven thermometer, which is usually placed inside the oven, will tell you the actual temperature. Refer to this thermometer instead of
waiting for the indicator light to go on or for when the oven to beep.
Place your food in the oven and let it bake according to the recipe. Make sure that the door is firmly closed, unless the recipe states otherwise.
Opening and closing the door while baking will cause the internal heat to escape, which may result in longer baking

Sweet Home Vs. 124 Bluestone Road
Throughout the beginning of Beloved, it is apparent the two major settings of the novel, Sweet Home and 124 Bluestone Road, are two different
worlds the characters strive to keep separated, especially those who lived in both places. When the past of Sweet Home threatens the freedom of
124 Bluestone, the daily routines and relationships are compromised. This image of the past threatening the present reoccurs, but it is especially
evident when Paul D tells Sethe about Helle's insanity after witnessing her attack. Through Sethe's viewpoint, the scene exploits how dangerous the
past is to the present world of the characters. After Paul D tells Sethe about the "bit" he had to wear at Sweet Home, she realizes: "He wants to tell
me...He wants me to ask him what it was like for him" (Morrison 71). This opening of the past terrifies Sethe; however, as she looks at his face she
sees: "In that unlit daylight his face, bronzed and reduced to its bones, smoothed her heart down" (71). With this invitation, Paul D discloses how he
felt seeing the rooster, Mister, watching him from the top of a tub: "Mister, he looked so...free. Better than me. Stronger, tougher. Son of a

Different Properties Of Polymers That Each Reaction
Discussion The results demonstrated the various properties of polymers that each reaction produced. For the nylon polymerization, a condensation
reaction took place and produced a long, polymer string. As described in Figure 1, the product was clear and several meters long, and the fibers held
together when stretched. However, when a portion of the nylon string was heated, fibers weakened. The nylon turned a bright white, and, when the
stirring rod was used to move the piece, the string broke in half. Ultimately, the reaction presented the fact that polymers are sensitive to heat and easily
thermally decompose. In contrast, for the methyl acrylate polymerization, an addition reaction occurred and produced a soft, white flat wad of polymer
substance. The methyl acrylate polymer had the consistency of chewed gum, but tore easily when stretched. Therefore, the reaction revealed that the
type of reaction (addition or condensation) plays a key role in determining a polymer's properties.
Additionally, the cornstarch experiment also displayed a non–Newtonian fluid's features. While the polymer was subjected to many tests, its unusual
properties were observed. It acted like a liquid when left alone, but it cracked when squeezed. In conclusion, the three experiments demonstrated the
polymer's wide spectrum of properties and a variety of its subgroups. As seen in Figure 3, the percent yield exceeded one–hundred, indicating a source
of error. When weighing, the methyl acrylate

Two proteins that are present inwheat flour are gliadin and glutenin, the main composites of gluten that aid the formation of bread. 3.The gluten substance in flour is imperative as it provides elasticity to the dough. The formation of gliadin and glutenin molecules form a sub microscopic network, aiding the viscosity and extensibility of the dough. 4.Yeastis essential to the leavening process in bread, metabolizing the simple sugars present into a substance that exudes carbon dioxide into a strong and elastic gluten network within the dough. Kneading creates the strands of gluten, of which creates texture and elasticity. 7.Proving is the necessary stage prior to baking, allowing the dough to rise and leaven. Proving is considered an essential step in the fermentation process sanctioning the yeast to form carbon dioxide and inflate the dough. 8.Bread is referred to as the staff of life due to the availability and continuous historical use. • 2. Personal Narrative: Two Minutes About Cookies 2 Minutes About Cookies By: Anonymous _ The second that I got home I rushed to the Kitchen like an excited dog. I could smell coffee. The oven, microwave, and fridge were all white like snow. The toaster was stainless steel and black and matched the coffee maker. I quickly rushed to the cabinet and grabbed the blue and white flower bag along with the rest of the ingredients. In another small bowl, mix the citric acid with 1 cup water to dissolve. Pour your milk into a pot and heat it to 85 degrees over a medium–low flame, then add the citric acid solution. Using a slotted spoon, give the milk a gentle stir. Let the milk heat up to 100 degrees. Once the milk reaches 100 degrees, add the rennet mixture. Very gently stir the milk–– you'll start to see curds, just lift them up and down a few times (don't ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Keep a close eye on the temperature and let it heat up to 105 degrees. When the milk reaches 105 degrees, turn off the heat and cover the pot. Let it sit for 10 minutes. The curds will have come together into a solid–looking mass, the whey will have a yellow tint. To make sure it's ready, press the back of a spoon into the curds –– if the indentation stays, they're ready. Place a colander on top of a bowl. Using a slotted spoon, lift the curds and place them into the colander to let the whey drain off. Lift the colander to keep draining. Using your hands, very gently press the curds into the colander to release more whey. You want to remove as much whey as possible while handling the curds as gently as possible. They should feel firm when they're ready for kneading. Put a large pot of salted water on to boil. Make sure the water is salty enough to flavor the cheese (I like it to taste at least as salty as the sea). Once it's reached the boil, turn off the heat and let the water cool to 180 degrees, or as hot as your hands can handle. Food–safe gloves can help protect your hands from the heat if you're sensitive. While the water is boiling and cooling, break up your drained curds into ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. Sour Dough Diet Many Americans love the delicious, yet fattening, carbohydrate recognized as bread. Usually, we all eat bread when it is stuffed with meat and cheese, but most can't resist the taste of certain breads without the added accompaniments. Sour Dough bread, being a popular favorite, is most commonly made by preparing your starter dough, feeding the starter dough, then finally kneading and baking the loaves. The first step is making the starter dough. Before starting, make sure you have a large, non–metallic bowl for mixing. Making sure your bowls are non–metallic ensures that the dough will not ruin. Mix together dry yeast, two cups of warm water, and two cups of all purpose flour. Once you have mixed all of your ingredients, obtain the mix with a loose seal and leave the starter dough in a warm place to ferment for four to eight days and check on it occasionally. Making sure the bread is well fermented will improve the quality of the dough. Once the days have passed, the mixture is bubbly, and there is a pleasantly sour smell; the starter dough is ready to be used. If the starter ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... After you take the start–er dough out of the refrigerator and leave it on the counter for at least an hour, you will mix dry ingredients in a separate bowl. Mixing the dry ingredients separate will help the process stay organized. These dry ingredients include: sugar, bread flour, and potato flakes. Once the ingredients are mingled together, contribute the mix with the existing starter dough. Now the dough is fed and the mushy mess will need to sit and warm to room temperature. Once bubbles start to float to the top, you are finally ready for your last step. After leaving the dough out for a day, combine six cups of bread flour, one cup of sugar, one tablespoon of salt, a half cup of oil, one and a half cups of the starter dough, and a half cup of warm water until the mix is thick. Fermentation occurs when yeast converts glucose into ethyl alcohol and carbon dioxide, then gas bubbles from carbon dioxide were released into the mixture, causing the bread to rise. Yeast will be die if the temperature reaches over 138 degrees Fahrenheit and dormant when less than 90 degrees. In out pizza recipe, we used warm water in the mixture and left the dough in the warm oven afterwards to speed up the reaction. When we took the dough out, the dough was expanded and doubled in size. • 6. Kristen s Cookie Company Case Study Essay Kristen's Cookie Company Here is the Process Flow Diagram: The whole process throughput time of making a dozen of cookies is 26 minutes. It takes washing, mixing and spooning 8 minutes to make a dozen of cookies. And preparation and bake time totally are 10 minutes. The final step of cooling, packing and accepting payment of cookies takes roommate 8 minutes to finish the cycle. Assume the night capacity is 4 hours, so Kristen and roommate have 240 minutes operating time. Since the oven only holds one tray, the second dozen takes an additional 10 minutes to bake. For example, first dozen of cookies take 26 minutes to make, second dozen of cookies take 36 minutes to make and third dozen of cookies take 46 minutes to make. So we can ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Although the oven only holds one tray per time, it takes 6 minutes to washing and mixing steps. So we still need 3 trays to be well–prepare. The bottleneck operation would be the speed of operation, which is time you spend in preparing and baking. The speed with which you can produce cookies depends on the cycle time of baking. If we can rent another oven, it will increase our efficiency in order to make more cookies with lower cost. Because mixer can mix ingredients for up to three dozens cookies, each oven can hold a tray per time. This change would give us solution for production constraints. After increasing capacity of oven, it will make us start our new orders every 5 minutes and 7.5 dozens per hour. So we are willing to pay $200–$300 to rent an extra oven. If we choose to run business without Kristen, her time for one dozen cookies becomes 12 minutes. It will become the labor bottleneck. If the order contains two dozens or more, Kristen's time for this order becomes 17 minutes and 22 minutes for 3 dozens. For the delay time, there is no need to offer a rate to rush order. Because of our constrains, previous order can be finished on time. We can promise delivery within the campus from 10am to 5pm. Because this period of time would be acceptable for part–time student. • 8. Uniting Bowl Kabbalah The uniting bowl provides a place where everything bonds Before we create anything we should provide a space and place for it to form. The empty bowl provides the ingredients a place to unite and transform into dough. Since ancient time humans mixed dough ingredients in a basin before it reached the stage of kneading. The bowl's shape caused all contents to arrive at the center at the same time, therefore the force of mixing caused the integration between them. A woman's belly is envisioned as a bowl of life. Through the process of mindful attention, you are bringing your being into the present moment. Hold the mixing bowl and internally ask for it to represent a readiness to be empty and receptive. From the moment that we gather the ingredients until the end of the kneading it is an auspicious time, the gate of heaven is open and it is important to utilize this time for prayers and requests. It is said in the book of Genesis (48:22) "I'm giving you one more mountain ridge than your brothers. I took it from the Amorites with my own sword and bow." Commentators say that 'my own sword' means 'my own prayer' and that 'my bow' means 'my request'. The sword's power is from its own sharpness, the bow's power depends on the archer; therefore, the more the archer pulls, the higher the arrow will fly. As for our prayers: we have prayers that are like sword – they are the ones that our sages taught us, and they are very powerful and holy. However, we have the right to express our heart's desires, and if we earnestly and whole heartedly express them then they can be very powerful. When we work through the stages of creating the dough, it is an inspiring time for spiritual thoughts and for expressing our heart's wishes. As we hold the bowl we aim ... Bread is now used as a main food source that is eaten all over the world. Even in the midst of the colonial times, colonists created bread as a main food product in their time. As you transition from using the spoon to your hands when mixing the dough, you will notice that the dough will end up with a rugged look. Be sure to clean the sides of the bowl with the dough. With the dough ready, it is now time to move on to kneading. Step 3: KNEADING THE DOUGH To begin kneading, you must lightly sprinkle flour on a wooden surface or counter, about 1 tablespoon. Cover your hands with flour and plop the dough on the working area. Hold one side of the dough with one hand and stretch the top portion of the dough with another hand without tearing it. Turn the dough and continue kneading for 8 to 10 minutes until the dough is smooth and stretchy. Add flour to the dough if it still is sticky and toss it 2 to 3 times during kneading. Step 4: FERMENTING THE DOUGH Once the dough has been kneaded, it is time to allow the yeast in the bread to rise. First, settle the dough in the original mixing bowl that is lightly spread with flour. Tapping the dough with lightly buttered fingers is not necessary, but will prevent the dough's surface from drying up. With a dry towel, cover the bowl and place the it in a warm area around 80–85oF for 1 hour. The dough should be twice its original size once finished rising. A tip to check if the dough has risen is to poke one finger into the dough. If the dent stays, the dough has properly risen. Step 5: SHAPING AND SECOND RISING With the dough ... • 12. Hot Chocolate Cookies Essay The name of the recipe I will be making is Mexican hot chocolate cookies. The reason I chose Mexican hot chocolate cookies is I find this cookie super unique in taste and texture compared to other cookies. It is fairly simple to make. I learned how to make these cookies with my mother. It was not for a special occasion, we just wanted to try a new recipe. Our family often packages the cookies, three per bag, to take to the military base and distribute to the security forces folks on duty. They really appreciate being thought of. They often tease my mother saying it has been too long since she brought them by. There are stories of people hiding them from their spouse or family members. The recipe originally appeared on Martha Stewart's website. My mother made some changes to the recipe along the way. It is best to gather all of the ingredients and equipment before you begin to prepare the recipe. One important tip is to set the butter on the counter for twenty minutes before starting the recipe. We learned quickly that the temperature of the butter plays a big role in how the cookies turn out. Consequently, if the butter is too warm the cookies spread out while baking. It may seem like a simple task to select any one of the dozens of products on the market these days. But the variations are seemingly endless. I happen to have tried out several different electronic massaging products. So here 's a little guide to selecting the best one for your home or office. Good Vibes It 's important to understand that there are different kinds of massaging techniques available on the market. The earliest massaging devices provided vibration only. Health studies have shown that vibration helps to increase blood circulation, anxiety control, and even some relief of pain. The good news about these types of products is that they typically cost much less than the newer shiatsu models. I purchased one of HoMedics earliest versions, a full length massaging mat. The mat comes with a hand–held remote which features massage programs such as pulsating or complete vibration. The control also allows the user to select which general areas to focus on. What I liked about the mat, was that the complete vibration is extremely relaxing. However, on these older mats, the overall pressure and vibration intensity is rather ... Many people will look at that statement with a morbid curiosity, but others may be filled with an overwhelming sense of passion to learn more. Learning music theory is like making a pizza, one needs all the ingredients to begin the journey; however, achieving the desired result will take practice and patience. In order to understand music theory, one needs all the necessary ingredients. Just as a baker needs: flour, water, olive oil, sugar, yeast, and kosher salt to form the dough of the pizza, a theorist needs to understand: pitch, rhythm, key signatures, the different types of clefs, and the order of notes to understand and grow their knowledge of music theory. The pay is pretty good, considering that in Tennessee, good massage therapists get anywhere from $50 to $100 and hour for their work. A half–hour will give you around $30–$50. This isn 't bad, but people need to consider what 's involved and the expenses that are inevitably going to be incurred. Massage therapy is really for strong people who have good hands. • 38. Oven Persuasive Essay Before you bake anything, your oven needs to be heated to its proper temperature. It takes only a few seconds to turn on your oven, but it takes several minutes for it to reach the right temperature. Turning on your oven and letting it heat up to the right temperature is known as "preheating." Most recipes require you to turn your oven on first, before starting to cook. First you should consider preheating your oven before starting your recipe. Electrical ovens often need 10 to 15 minutes before they reach the proper temperature. This is usually enough time for you to prepare your recipe. If it takes more than 15 minutes in which to prepare the food, then consider starting the oven half–way through the prepping process. Unless you store items ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The oven temperature is usually at the very beginning of the recipe, its the very first step. Wait for the oven to reach the desired temp. Most ovens have a setting that lets you either see the current temperature or it will beep when ready. Some ovens have a little light that turns on when it is the right temperature. This light is usually next to the oven temperature dial. Consider using an oven thermometer. in some cases the temperature inside the oven is not very accurate and does not actually match the temperature on the dial. An oven thermometer, which is usually placed inside the oven, will tell you the actual temperature. Refer to this thermometer instead of waiting for the indicator light to go on or for when the oven to beep. Place your food in the oven and let it bake according to the recipe. Make sure that the door is firmly closed, unless the recipe states otherwise. Opening and closing the door while baking will cause the internal heat to escape, which may result in longer baking

  • 40. Sweet Home Vs. 124 Bluestone Road Throughout the beginning of Beloved, it is apparent the two major settings of the novel, Sweet Home and 124 Bluestone Road, are two different worlds the characters strive to keep separated, especially those who lived in both places. When the past of Sweet Home threatens the freedom of 124 Bluestone, the daily routines and relationships are compromised. This image of the past threatening the present reoccurs, but it is especially evident when Paul D tells Sethe about Helle's insanity after witnessing her attack. Through Sethe's viewpoint, the scene exploits how dangerous the past is to the present world of the characters. After Paul D tells Sethe about the "bit" he had to wear at Sweet Home, she realizes: "He wants to tell me...He wants me to ask him what it was like for him" (Morrison 71). This opening of the past terrifies Sethe; however, as she looks at his face she sees: "In that unlit daylight his face, bronzed and reduced to its bones, smoothed her heart down" (71). With this invitation, Paul D discloses how he felt seeing the rooster, Mister, watching him from the top of a tub: "Mister, he looked so...free. Better than me. Stronger, tougher. Son of a ... Before the cook arrived when she stood in a space no wider than a bench is long, back behind and to the left of the milk cans. Working dough. Working, working dough" (73). The kneading is methodical and, importantly, allows the past not to be remembered. The image suggests that "beating back the past" (73) is a constant, physical battle for Sethe and Paul ... • 41. Different Properties Of Polymers That Each Reaction Discussion The results demonstrated the various properties of polymers that each reaction produced. For the nylon polymerization, a condensation reaction took place and produced a long, polymer string. As described in Figure 1, the product was clear and several meters long, and the fibers held together when stretched. However, when a portion of the nylon string was heated, fibers weakened. The nylon turned a bright white, and, when the stirring rod was used to move the piece, the string broke in half. Ultimately, the reaction presented the fact that polymers are sensitive to heat and easily thermally decompose. In contrast, for the methyl acrylate polymerization, an addition reaction occurred and produced a soft, white flat wad of polymer substance. The methyl acrylate polymer had the consistency of chewed gum, but tore easily when stretched. Therefore, the reaction revealed that the type of reaction (addition or condensation) plays a key role in determining a polymer's properties. Additionally, the cornstarch experiment also displayed a non–Newtonian fluid's features. While the polymer was subjected to many tests, its unusual properties were observed. It acted like a liquid when left alone, but it cracked when squeezed. In conclusion, the three experiments demonstrated the polymer's wide spectrum of properties and a variety of its subgroups. As seen in Figure 3, the percent yield exceeded one–hundred, indicating a source of error. When weighing, the methyl acrylate ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
