Station 1 involves reading, Station 2 is a reading test or computer activity, and Station 3 is a literacy activity. The learning objectives are to improve reading and spelling skills and to work independently. Students will participate in all activities for 20 minutes each. Expectations for the reading lesson include working quietly without disturbing others, not disturbing the teacher when they are working with students, asking the teaching assistant for quiet help, sticking to time limits in the library so everyone can go, moving quickly and quietly between stations, and reading books from the accelerated reader program.

3. Expectations during reading lesson
1. Work quietly – your classmates are reading , you do not wish to
disturb them.
2. You do not wish to disturb me when I am working with pupils.
3. Literacy table will have support from the TA – you may ask XX for
help quietly.
4. When you go down to the library, stick to the time limit. If you don’t
everyone who wants to go may not be able to.
5. Move to the next station quickly and quietly.
6. Everyone should be reading books from ‘accelerated reader’.
