 Can feedback be used as an effective
assessment tool for teachers and students?
I expect that the teacher will consider feedback more
effective than tests for assessing the pupils (H1) and on
their hand, pupils will consider feedback efficient for
developing their learning (H2).
 How can technology facilitate teacher’s work in
giving feedback?
I expect that the use of technology will save time and
efforts from the teacher, giving her opportunity to
effectively think over the feedback given to the pupils (H3).

 Daily Diaries (students)
 Pre and post interview, self-report of practice
(teacher)

I will also check if there is
correlation between teacher’s
and student’s view of the given
feedbacks.

see if she could assess pupils
based on the feedback given.
From pupil’s questionnaires I will
see their idea of feedback and
the importance of tests and if
there was a change on it after
receiving constant formative
feedback.
By observing I would be able to
reflect and compare on student’s
diaries and what has happened in
the classroom

decided about it yet.
 The topic is of general interest and
application in school contexts
 the data collection is going to be in Northern
Finland, in a very small population; the result
will be therefore nationally and regionally
significant
 Broader research is necessary in order to have
more significant results
