This document outlines a research study that will investigate the effectiveness of feedback as an assessment tool for teachers and students. It proposes two hypotheses: 1) that teachers will find feedback more effective than tests for assessing students, and 2) that students will find feedback helpful for improving their learning. The study will collect data through student diaries, teacher feedback, teacher interviews, and student questionnaires to analyze whether feedback is an effective assessment method. It also hypothesizes that technology can help teachers provide feedback more efficiently. The results of the small-scale study conducted in Northern Finland are expected to be significant within that region. Broader research on the topic would produce more widely applicable results.
