COURSE OUTCOMES
At the end of the course, the students should be able to provide excellent Electrical Discharge Machine (EDM) Die Sinking operation to ensure the
product requirement accepted in accordance to drawing specification. Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:-
1. Interpret detail drawing
2. Prepare EDM electrode
3. Select material to be machined
4. Select EDM Die Sinking machines and accessories requirement
5. Set up workpiece.
6. Set up EDM electrode.
7. Carry out EDM Die Sinking operation
8. Inspect finished product
9. Submit finished product with recording data to superior
COURSE DESCRIPTION
The course title describes the competency in EDM Die Sinking.
He or she is the person at the work area to operate Electric Discharge Machine (EDM) Die Sinking.
The person who is competent in this course shall be able to interpret detail drawing, prepare EDM electrode, select material to be machined, select
EDM Die sinking machines and accessories, setup workpiece, setup EDM electrode, carry out EDM Die sinking operation, inspect finish product
and submit with recording data to superior
The outcome of this course is to operate EDM Die sinking process according to drawing requirement as per company’s policy, rules and
regulation.
