● An event permit application for the 2016
Howdy Parade was submitted by Kenda
Willoughby on behalf of the Alamo Heights
High School Mule Pushers
• Due to the recent change in school
dismissal hours a new parade route on
Alamo Heights Boulevard was requested

● The requested Alamo Heights Boulevard route
includes
» a staging area between Argo Avenue and
Corona Avenue, and
» a termination point in the 100 block West
Castano at Broadway
• The requested neighborhood route is much safer
and requires less resources in terms of
personnel and equipment

• Public works personnel - $275
• Barricades – 30
• Police and Public Works vehicles - 6

● Letters were sent to residents on and adjacent to
the requested parade route
● Additional notifications will be sent if the requested
