3. BACKGROUND
Initially disbanded in 1987 when land was sold
Re-established in 1995 after Texas Natural Resources Conservation
commission required Joint Cities to be permanently close the
landfill properly

Dormant for years - risk for being closed and funds to be sent to Texas
Comptroller’s Office
Funds were held due to recurring threat of litigation by user of
landfill

5. POLICY ANALYSIS
The Board shall exercise the powers and
authorities granted in Chapter 273 of the Local
Government Code and to the extent
appropriate shall be an interlocal cooperation
authorized by Chapter 791 of Government
Code

Division of proceeds from sale and all expenses
related to the landfill divided as follows:

Terrell Hills 23.117% - $21,479.40
Castle Hills 19.204% - $17,843.60

Hollywood Park 8.945% - $8,311.32
