1. Diego Velázquez
Diego velázquez was born in Seville, the fifth of
june. He was a boroque painter, considered one of
the best exponents of the spanish painting and
universal master painter.
He spent his early years in Seville, where he
developed a naturalistic style.
When he was 24 he moved to Madrid, where he
was the painter of the king Phillip IV and four years
later was promoted to painter
His job consist on painting portraits of the king and his family. Also
as other pictures to decorate the royal mansions.
His catalogue has more or less 120 or 125 works.
