Our American Corner was first opened as an American Children’s Corner in a small one-room place. It happened during the visit of President Bush and Mrs. Bush to Bulgaria. On the left picture you may see the first ladies of USA and Bulgaria with our first visitors. Later, we’ve got a larger place and after a one-year renovation we managed to turn the place into a great multi-functional space . On the second picture you may see Ambassador John Bayerle and the Mayor of Sofia Boyko Borisov, who is now Bulgaria’s prime minister.
Students who participate in the summer reading program keep their minds active over the summer, which can help when it comes for "back to school time" in September.
