Hawks have acute eyesight, muscular legs, sharp bills and talons which they use to catch prey while in flight. There are over 250 hawk species that hunt during the day unlike owls. Hawks can be found in various habitats and vary greatly in size, from small sparrow hawks similar to robins, to the larger rough-legged hawk with a 22 inch length and 55 inch wingspan, with females generally larger than males.
