2. EMERGING ISSUES/TREND IN
COMPUTER AND LEARNING
MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
ØTo keep up with the fast-paced 21st-
century learners, higher education
institutions can integrate VR to promote
learning beyond traditional teaching
method.
ØA Learning Management System (LMS)
offers a set of tools for e-learning delivery
and management.
3. ROBOTICS
Living today is redefined by technological inclination,
as the status of life/livelihood is relative to
technological revolution. The new era is not what you
can do traditionally, but technologically. Elections
result cannot be transmitted electronically, though
WAEC, JAMB, National ID and Licences are online;
but have you met Chloe, as the first personal
assistant built by CyberLife, she is designed to help
humans with everyday tasks such as doing
housework and making appointments. She is also the
first android to pass the Turing test, as stated in

human.fandom.com/wiki/Chloe.
4. PROSPECTS
LXP: Next-Generation LMS
• The ability to personalize content and customize one’s
learning pacing is giving rise to learning experience
platforms (LXP), where users study lessons that fit their
interests or needs and at their own pace.
• LXP is more suited to corporate training where learning is
less structured and on a needs-basis. But there is no
reason for the academe not to embrace LXP for its
inherent benefit of making learning more engaging with
the use of AI and machine learning.
5. PROSPECTS
• Consider the benefits:
• Learners can mix and match lessons to come up with their own coursework. This
means students can focus their learning on matters that truly interest them.
Through machine learning, LXP can curate an intelligent selection of course
materials for the learner.
• AI-based LXP can generate microlearning, able to break down lessons into
digestible bits that learners can more easily absorb and retain. Schools that plan to
incorporate agile learning in their teaching modalities will benefit from this feature.
• LXP analytics can deep dive into user learning data and generate dashboards and
reports that allow administrators to understand usage trends. This helps them make
smarter decisions.
• Customized learning paths mean learners are directed towards personalized
learning goals. https://www.guide2research.com/research/lms-trends
7. PROBLEM
Challenges are curriculum that has little or
no relationship with workplace and social
needs, embezzlement of fund meant for
education development purposes, lack
of teacher motivation, inadequate
facilities, inadequate funding, brain drain,
poor staff training , bribery and
corruption.
8. PROBLEM
Vocational education refers to skill based programmes
which are designed for skill acquisition focused on
specific vocations for entry into defined workplace
meanwhile Technical education is not designed for any
particular vocation but provides general technical
knowledge that prepares people for entry into
recognized occupation. These are initiators, facilitators
and implementers of technologically development, lack
of which are the reasons for the rising unemployment,
poverty and unabated crimes in the society. As published

9. PROBLEM
• Inadequate funding
• Inadequate facilities
• Brain Drain
• Staff Training
• Curriculum
• Apathy of Politicians
• Value System
poor training and ineffective
technicians leads to low
productivity because
education which aims to
deliver people with knowledge,
skills and competences
required in particular
occupations or more broadly
on the labour market due to
dearth of Vocational Teachers
10. GAP FILLING
• integration of computer technology into the teaching and learning process,
as everyone needs to learn valuable hands-on skills to assist in developing
skills that can be used in the future
• pandemic has drastically changed the way we teach and learn (whenever
and wherever) by revolutionizing concept of transforming traditional (paper-
and-pen) pedagogy to digital form with strong focus on connectivity,
versatility, and learner-centered learning system/platforms.
• technology makes education smarter, more effective by creating curriculum
from what learners want to learn through fascinating technologies.
11. GAP FILLING
•eLearning, educational content is delivered to
learners through computers, laptops, tablets,
or smartphones.
•Interactive varieties are outstanding features
of online learning platforms through learner
enrollment, performance (time per course,
completion, test result), and feedback (rating,
survey).
13. CONCLUSION
Technology has seeped into education
and renewed its whole teaching and
learning process. Especially eLearning,
an educational tool that not only
increases the accessibility and
convenience of education but also
changes the learning behaviors and
learners’ desires for learning.
14. CONCLUSION
Technology today is helping
teachers to enhance their
teaching beyond traditional
text-based learning and
engage students with
practical ways of learning.
