• According to a recent report from Policy Matters Ohio, Cincinnati's median home sales price was the
highest among the ten largest cities in the state and had risen 20.5 percent between 2007 and 2013
from $132,000 to $159,000. Those numbers were not adjusted for inflation. Second-ranking Columbus
saw the median home price go from $132,000 in 2007 to $144,000 in 2013, a change of 9.1 percent.
Residential real estate website Trulia also looked at how falling oil prices affected home prices and
found that Cincinnati, with very few oil-related jobs, saw year-over-year asking prices grow by 14.8
percent in December, making it the fourth-ranking metro area in the country.
