• Since buying the half-vacant One Waterstone Place in Deerfield Township last April, D.S. Waterstone
LLC, a partnership led by Schuermann Properties, has been able to attract three new tenants and drop
vacancy to 25 percent in the Class A building. Since April, five leases have been completed, including
three new tenants, the expansion of one tenant and the renewal of another. The leases continue a
growing trend seen since 2012 of declining Class A vacancy rates and increasing Class B vacancy
rates in the Fields Ertel/Mason submarket, as improving economic conditions have allowed many
tenants to upgrade to newer, higher quality space.
