2. • Drake is a R&B artists who’s CD cover relates to the
genre of our music video- the cover has similarities in
what we want to create.
3. Camera angle:
• Close-up of Drake- he is not directly looking into the
camera, rather facing the opposite direction. This
creates a mysterious feel to the product, and to the
music itself. It makes the audience want to know what
the mystery is all about.
4. Colour-scheme:
• We want to use a variety of colours for our front cover
(opposite of Drake’s example). However, we want to
achieve the same result by doing so- in other words,
Drake has used a dark colour-scheme, like a lot of R&B
artists, do due to the relationship with the music. The
music itself may not be joyful. However, we want to use
a variety of colours to juxtapose with the song’s lyrics
and theme.
5. Costume:
• He is wearing a hoodie, which represents the R&B
genre. R&B artists tend to have “street style” costumes,
or something more “laid-back”. Similarly, we have
decided to use “street-style” clothing to represent the
R&B genre on our front cover.
