Recently researchers have argued that people who are high in emotional intelligence are likely to
show a higher level of performance as well as high self-efficacy leads to higher performance.
The purpose of this study is to examine the impact of employee emotional intelligence on self-
efficacy and task performance and organizational citizenship behavior. However, research grants
the need to add facilitator to the linking between emotional intelligence and performance. We
address this call by empirically examining the relationship between emotional intelligence and
self-efficacy with task performance and organizational citizenship behaviors. This study seek
that how EI correlate with self-efficacy. The sample consist of 400 employee from different
organization in the capital city of Pakistan. I hope this study will help organization and
management for gaining higher performance from employee. The findings show that emotional
intelligence improve the self-efficacy leading to higher employee’s task performance and
organizational behavior.

Introduction
In the field of education, management and psychology emotional intelligence (ei) is an emerging
topic for researcher and management consultants (shapiro, 1997; weisinger, 1998). Emotional
intelligence is social intelligence that is the ability to monitor one’s own and other emotions that
distinguish among these and use these evidence to guides one thinking and actions. Articlesei1

are become aware and understand their emotions. While those who can’t control their emotions,

performance both in task performance and overall contextual performance that may result in a

of self-emotions appraisal, other emotions appraisal, regulation of emotions in self and use of

  • 1. Recently researchers have argued that people who are high in emotional intelligence are likely to show a higher level of performance as well as high self-efficacy leads to higher performance. The purpose of this study is to examine the impact of employee emotional intelligence on self- efficacy and task performance and organizational citizenship behavior. However, research grants the need to add facilitator to the linking between emotional intelligence and performance. We address this call by empirically examining the relationship between emotional intelligence and self-efficacy with task performance and organizational citizenship behaviors. This study seek that how EI correlate with self-efficacy. The sample consist of 400 employee from different organization in the capital city of Pakistan. I hope this study will help organization and management for gaining higher performance from employee. The findings show that emotional intelligence improve the self-efficacy leading to higher employee’s task performance and organizational behavior.
