to accessibility. A workplace environment can affect all these. For a positive output and enhanced
productivity, experts say several factors in the look of the office can help.
Comfort Changes Everything
Comfortable and ambient facilities can make employees more productive. This way, individual
control and adjustment of conditions are enabled. Often, uncomfortable, distracting, and noxious
situations lead to negative impacts on the worker’s ability to work.
Buildings can affect the motivation of employees. The availability of conditions that promote
positive affective functioning can lead to an improved motivation of employees. Moods, after all,
create the emotional context when it comes to behaviors and thought processes.
Plants in the Office Helps
Many scientific studies have proven the positive effects of having more plants in the office. The
innate desire of humans to relate to nature refers to biophilia, as scientists call it.
The simple addition of greenery in the form of indoor plants can help reduce stress. Tension and
anxiety dropped to 37 percent, depression or dejection fell to 58 percent, anger and hostility
decreased by 44 percent while fatigue reduced by 38 percent.
Having plants also helps enhance productivity. It can decrease the absence and sickness rates, as
well. Other than making the office appealing to applicants, having indoor plants inside the workplace
cleans the air. It absorbs carbon dioxide which humans do not need.
A Tidy Space Makes a Productive Workplace
A clean workplace can affect a company’s operations. Maintaining a clean office will be helpful in
boosting the ability and the motivation of workers to do their tasks with efficiency. The two factors
mentioned above serves as strategies that can serve as the right mix of ability, motivation, and
opportunity.
A tidy space serves as a worker’s opportunity to do his or her job with the right kind of motivation to
produce what he or she can do. This positive impact can produce better results for a company. The
key to maintain the streak would be to keep the office a comfortable space for employees.
